I've always gotten on well with everyone but I feel more and more like I'm on the sidelines ...
I mean, Harry, Ron and Hermione live amazing adventures, Ginny is more and more with Dean and the twins prefer to annoy somebody else... so I find myself alone more and more often.
But hey, it's not that bad and it gives me time to revise for future exams.
Today, I'm in the Great Hall and I'm working with Hermione on our presentation in Charms. But I don't really listen to her, I'm lost in my thoughts. Last night was complicated. I mean I have some visions, like Harry, although they are less intense.
"Y/n? Hello? There's someone?! Y/n!"
"Yes, sorry... What were you saying?"
"I was talking about our presentation ...- Y/n? Are you sure you're ok?"
"Yes, don't worry! I'm fine!"
"You know you can talk to me."
"Don't worry Hermione, I'm okay!" I said with a big smile to convince her.
A minute later, I see Draco and his friends coming to us. I'm sure they are going to laugh at me, considering that my brother isn't here.
"Hey Potter!"
I turn around to face him.
"What do you want Malfoy?"
"Drink this!"
He hands me a vial.
"What is that?"
"Don't worry, it won't kill you! Just drink it!"
"Okay..."
"Y/n don't!" warns me Hermione but I drink it
"So mini-Potter, tell us, what did you do last night?" laughed Malfoy with his friends
"I died a little bit inside, I lay in tears in bed all night, alone without you by my side..."
His expression changed and no one dares to laugh anymore. He backs up and leaves us.
"What happened?" I ask when I come to my senses
"I guess he gave you a veritaserum... I'm sorry y/n, I didn't now you feel like that...-"
She tried to grab my hand but I stand up and run away trying to find him. After minutes of running through hallways, I finally found him on a bench in the courtyard. I approached and sat next to him.
"Hi..."
"Hi... Listen, I'm sorry for what happened, I didn't know that you...-"
"Wait, what?! Draco Malfoy apologising?! Are you sure you're okay?!" I'm kidding and he smiles
"Yeah, it was a stupid thing."
"It doesn't matter now..."
I was going to get up so he wouldn't see a tear running down my cheek when he grabbed my hand.
"Do you want to talk about it?"
I sigh and sat down. Maybe he's not that callous after all. He came up to me for apology, so I guess I can open myself a little.
"It's just that I miss my parents... and then I feel like no one understands me, no one cares about me...-"
Several tears flow and then he pulls me gently against him, he runs one hand through my hair and with the other he rubs my back to comfort me.
*meanwhile*
Harry comes running with Ron and Hermione who must have told him and sees us: me in the arms of Draco, his enemy.
Draco moves away a bit.
"I know a place that you would surely like, meet me in the great hall around 6 o'clock!"
He winks at me and leaves.
