"Jimin, for the nth time, you will be fine. The show will be amazing this evening." Hoseok needed to give his assurance to the blond male who was on the verge of throwing up due to his panic state.
"What if I slip and fall? What if my fingers are not on point? I won't fall and break my neck when I do the mid-air twist isn't it?"
"Gosh, you make it sound like you're prone to accident or something. It's a dance Jimin. You're not going on a battle." Louis who was chilling by the couch watched the two dancers warm up with Jimin's constant panic mode. "Besides, you're such an amazing dancer. You're going to woo the crowd in no time."
Louis knows for sure that Jimin will ace the routine. He is dancing to a song titled Black Swan and apparently, Jimin is the chosen lead dancer for the 3-minute solo ballet routine.
"I hope RM doesn't disqualify me right away after seeing the reaction from the crowd. He even went to the length to invite his crush to the show, I hope I am not the reason his crush runs out of the show for poor quality-..."
"PARK JIMIN, I'M GOING TO GLUE YOUR MOUTH SHUT WITH SUPERGLUE IF YOU EVER DOUBT YOURSELF." Hoseok yelled, catching Jimin off guard.
"You don't have to yell you know. I have a sensitive heart."
"And I have a sensitive ear Jimin which you just broke." Hoseok crossed his arms at the blond who rolled his eyes as he continued to run through the routine at the back of his mind. At least, he stopped talking.
"Yo Louie, are you heading to Jungkook's match in an hour?" Hoseok turned to his housemate who was busy texting on his phone.
"Yep, I will make my way to Jimin's after Jungkook's match. We got the schedule, his will be the last fight. As expected. I'm not sure if he can make it to Jimin's opening."
"I rather have him well rested after the match instead of attending my show. God knows how will he end up. I'm aware he will have a tough match tonight."
Louis nodded at Jimin indicating each word in his statement is bloody right. The male is worried for his friend and it shows clearly with the concerned look on his face. The last thing Jimin should be worried about right now is anything apart from his dance.
"Did he call you?" Hoseok asked as he wondered if the younger manage to reach out.
"He did. You know him Hobi. He is such a good friend. He apologized in advance if he can't make it. I wished him luck. That's all." Jimin explained the chat he had with the younger and said he is completely fine with Jungkook missing the show. They understand why he has to do what he ought to do.
"Louis, please keep an eye on him? I have to be with Jimin for the rehearsals so I won't be there. Do call me immediately if you know..."
"It won't happen but yea, I will."
At times like this, all three of them are Jungkook's best wishers. They always ensure to keep an eye on the ravenette knowing he won't be asking for it upfront but they know that this is what Jungkook needs, support from a friend with no strings attached.
.
"I'm sorry, I didn't see you-...you?" Jimin's eyes popped open as he was rushing out from the changing room after getting dressed in a beautiful black silky shirt, complementing his opening title - Black Swan. In reality, Jimin looked like a sinful angel, dressed in black. So ethereal.
"Hey blueberry."
"Firstly, it's Jimin. Secondly, ew what the fuck? Can you not ruin my favourite fruit by calling me that way?" Jimin rolled his eyes, clearly catching the amused look on the mint head male. How ironic is it for him to stumble across the one guy he printed as a fuckboy not too long ago?
"Hello to you too. I see you're all dolled up? Performing tonight?"
"Yea, show opening. What are you doing here? This is VIP section only. If you're a mere audience, I reckon your seat is way back there."
Jimin tried to sass out the mint head, finding it unbelievable when the best reaction he got out of the man was a smirk and a little giggle.
"You surely are a feisty cracker. Good luck Jimin, don't wanna be railing up too much before the show. Good luck." Yoongi winked at the blond male who stood the mouth on the floor.
"Gosh he is unbelievable."
The blond had no time to waste as he was called in by the stylist to sleek back his blond hair, securing it for a sultry handsome look, perfect for the dark theme dance he was set to perform. Sure enough, as soon as Jimin was dressed fully in his role, he was like a completely new avatar. Confidence oozed out of his petite yet muscular frame as time ticked down for him to take the centre stage, be the star he was set to be.
To say the opening piece was a show stopper would be an understatement, Hoseok was among the first to rise to his feet as the rest of the audience followed suit while Jimin was lifted mid-air, body paused in a position mirroring a broken swan, ushering the theme for the show for the rest of the night.
With an hour and half of musical and performance treat, the production finally came to an end with flying compliments and satisfying audiences making their way back, calling it a night. Success would be an understatement for the whole show was a mind-blowing masterpiece which is set to cover the front page in articles and news the very next day.
"You did amazing Jimin!" Hoseok was the first to embrace the performing swan while Louis made his way through to his friend. "Yes, you did! That was sick Jimin! Congrats!"
The trio did a group hug congratulating the blond man who successfully steals the thunder of the show with his lightening sharp skills in ballet.
"Enough about me, is Kook alright? Did he win?" Jimin was quick to avert the topic from himself as he wanted to know about Jungkook's condition.
The solemn look on Louis's face did not sit well on Jimin's stomach as he felt it churn with discomfort. "Louis, is he ok?"
"Louis called me right before the show. I told him to not alert you about it as you had about 5 minutes before the show starts." Hoseok took the lead to explain when he senses that Louis looked exhausted and tongue-tied.
"Ok now hurry the fuck up and tell me what happened? Is Kook here?"
"He is not. He was badly injured during the match. He lost it." Hoseok explained as Jimin's eyes started to tear. All the glory he was showered for his performance is not important anymore as his ears are perked to hear only about Jungkook.
"Where is he now? Did he went to the hospital?"
"I wanted to bring him to the hospital for a check-up but he refused. Even the organizer wanted to call the medic for safety reasons but Jungkook said he is alright, just needed some rest. He is back home now, I tucked him in before I rushed here." Louis finally managed to speak as he finished his explanation.
"Are you out of your mind Louie? He is badly injured and you're here? You could have stayed with him. Forget that, you SHOULD have stayed with him."
"Jimin, it's not the first day you know Jungkook. That man is an embodiment of stubbornness, he refuses to rest without making me attend your show. He wasn't bleeding much, just bruises in a lot of places and yea a bust to his lips. I ensured he had everything needed nearby before I left."
Louis couldn't refuse the younger's demand when Jungkook insist he will not take the medicines and the rest if Louis did not attend the musical to support their fellow friend. With many fights and losing it, Louis had no choice but to leave the raven head alone as he requested.
"Is this his first lost?" Hoseok asked, trying to clarify the facts with Louis.
"Yea, I have been with him since his second or third fight, he has never lost any before that and since then. I'm not sure how he will take it." Louis was worried. Jungkook isn't the one to take defeat lightly, especially when he puts his heart and soul to that something he truly wanted to.
"Can we visit him?" Jimin looked at his watch and the time was close to 10 at night. It might not be the best time but he can't wait any longer.
"I tried calling him for his permission, just so we won't ambush him. He mentioned stopping by tomorrow afternoon instead. He was ready for bed."
Hoseok nodded at Louis's reply. For once, the sunshine of the group knows that Jungkook probably needs some time alone. This is his first defeat and Jungkook isn't the type to shout his winning and cry in public for his losing either. The ravenette is a private person, hence he probably wishes to spend his time alone to reflect upon the match and his losing.
"That's better as well. Jimin, why don't we visit him tomorrow with something to cheer him up? For now, let him rest and I think we should not shy away from your amazing performance. Jungkook is our friend and you are too. Let's respect his privacy and visit him tomorrow yea?"
Hoseok patted the blond head's shoulder while a sad sulk appeared on Jimin's face. He doesn't agree with Hoseok but he knows that the older has a point.
"Yea, he will like some sweet treats. He always looks for them after his matches." Jimin knows exactly where will he be heading tomorrow for something to cheer the younger up.
As the trio were busy catching up and making plans for Jungkook the next day, a certain brown head we all expected made an appearance to the musical to only feel even more frustrated internally when he fails to spot a ravenette whom he wished to see.
Tough luck? Insane hope? You may say so. Hoping to meet a raven head boy at a place with zero potential doesn't sound too logical to you and me but it somehow did to Taehyung. He was hoping being around the radius of where Jungkook goes to school might score him a better chance to bump into the ravenette.
Unfortunately, it's not today.
Taehyung attended the show, mesmerized by the effort and beauty of the performances held and left with a hole in his heart knowing his desire wasn't fulfilled. Not only that, there was an unexplainable hurt feeling that lingered in his heart which Taehyung knows that he won't like when he finally be able to identify.
Just as he was about to exit the venue, his eyes caught a group of males standing clustered with mixed emotions running down their faces. Strangely, Taehyung seems to be familiar with at least one or if not two of the men standing while the third hit his memory very plainly, unsure of its origin.
"Tae? Let's go." Yoongi looked back and nudged the brown head when he notices Taehyung was not following him.
"Yoongs, do you know him?" Tae pointed in the direction of the trio while he questioned curiously.
"Jimin?"
"Yea, that's him. Do you think we can talk to him?"
"I don't think so I am there yet with him but why would you want to talk to him? Do you know him?"
"I know a friend of his and I want to speak to him."
"Who?"
"Jungkook."

I hope JK is alright. He surely is a person who takes it very hard on himself when he fails to perform. I really want to pat him on the shoulder and say he did amazingly at times when he doubts it.
P/S: I might not do any angst in this book.
I hope I won't. I'm in a mood for fluffy/emotional plot. And it's brewing perfectly in my mind.
Secret: I have the ending in my mind already.
