3rd Person's POV
Earth was once a paradise and where her technological scale has reached to where humanity can leave its home world and settle to nearby planets, but that goal wasn't achieved as unknown aliens invaded the planet. Losing the war and the extinction of humanity is inevitable, and so, the rest of humanity created androids as also building a ship to settle on the moon.
That also means while time is not on Humanity's side, they leave a lots of people behind to save only the important ones, Officials, Scientists, and people that has skills to operate and aid the construction on the moon. The people that were left behind felt betrayed, seeing how at every side their doom approaches. Some people were also in cryogenic pods that are hidden in secret bunkers at some locations around the world, but as maintenance are needed, most went offline and killed the person inside it. As of now, Androids failed and now took control of the Command Station in the Moon, tasked to ensure and protect extincted humanity, or from what's left of it anyway...

In a ruin city, a humanoid figure walks in the middle of the empty and somewhat destroyed streets. However, this figure didn't notice that 10 small biped machines closing in around the figure. This humanoid figure is actually a human, the only sole survivor of the extinct human race...
Y/N's POV
Y/N: 'This must be a dream, there's no way... Why can't I find any people in the city.' I thought, as I stopped in my tracks, noticing the same machines that greeted me after I woke up to this reality that I still couldn't accept.
Y/N: "That's it... I had enough! Seems running away is no longer an option..." I said grabbing my revolver from its holster and aimed at the nearest machine
Y/N: "Let's Fukin dance." I cursed, 'I would rather die fighting, than running.' I then said in my head

3rd Person's POV
An Android walks in the ruins of the city, as its POD receives a message from High Command
POD: "A task from High Command: A signature has appeared in the console. A sign that a human is alive. Investigate if its true or just a bug in the system. But if its true that a human actually survives. Ensure that the human is safe and protect it at all cost" it said to 2B, the Battle Android...
2B: "Affirmative, where is it?" she asks as the POD lit up and shows a hologram map (Actually I don't know if that what they do or something)
POD: "Somewhere, above ground, it is somehow moving away from our position and heading to the factory zone" it said, as 2B sets off and started running towards the factory
...
After an hour later, 2B stops and noticed the wrecked machines on the streets. She kneels down to the nearest one as it has a bullet hole between its eyes. Somehow causing the machine to deactivate, a weapon...
POD: "This human is dangerous as it wields a weapon" it said, 2B stood up and continue on, seeing more machines at some parts of the street

The moment that she's almost at the Factory, it was dark. 2B continue on with caution. Until... A bullet wheeze pass through and missed her, then followed by a gunshot sound from afar. She took cover at the large rocks. 2B took another route towards the factory, as the sounds of gunshots continues on. As the closer she gets to the factory, the more she noticed how the bullets not hitting her or around her, but somehow far from her location...
Y/N's POV
I aimed my Anti-Material Rifle and started shooting anything that gets close to the area I'm in, I'm starting to remember how skilled I am with weapons like this. As I finished the only machine that holds a torch at night, I scanned the area with my night vision on. However, I noticed a humanoid machine heading towards my location, I quickly aimed my rifle and through the scope, I pulled the trigger.
But missed my target... it stops and somehow... stares at me?
Y/N: "What the fuck?" I said, completely confused and scared at the same time. Seeing my situation, I turned around and started packing my stuff
I never knew my situation get this bad if there's machines out there that may be too strong for me... I was about to head down of the building when I heard the metal doors of the factory bust open.
Y/N: "No time to pick up the rations then" I said as I quickly do a 180 degree turn and head back up
Running to wear my backpack on, and strapped the Anti-Material Rifle around me. I head to the side of the roof where I planned my escape if ever I got surrounded. I grab the rope and slid down slowly and quietly. But hard to do so if I got a Rifle and a backpack that weighs a lot...
Y/N: "Need to find an alternate safe haven, but where?" I whisper... fast walking away the factory.
Timeskip
It's been 2 days since that encounter, living in a abandoned warehouse that is perfect to hoard supplies in. But, it somehow got quieter, like I didn't encounter any of those machines, even during my scavenging or scouting an area is quiet, too quiet from what I first understand...
Y/N: "This is strange... I'm supposed to be in the middle of nowhere and surrounded by machines at all sides, but didn't encounter one" I said, standing in the middle of the ruined street. 'Am I mad? Is this all just a hallucination? No, I shot things, or just shot emptiness... I'm crazy am I? I'm Crazy! Is that right READERS?! HAVE I GONE MAD?!' I screamed in my head
I grabbed my Magnum from the holster and put the barrel at the side of my head. trigger finger twitching to pull the trigger. I thought everything about the life I had before I was put into the Cryogenic pod, and now comparing this world from before, I should rather accept the fact that Humanity is now Extinct and nothing can change that...
???: "Stop!" a voice called out from behind
I turned around still holding my gun to my head, seeing the same humanoid from that night...
Y/N: "Not this time. I understand it now, this is all just a figment of my imagination" I said, as I saw "her" holds the handle of that huge katana of some sorts on her back
???: "POD, restrain the human" she spoke, I got confused until I heard, "Affirmative" from behind me as I turn around and saw a flying machine grabbed my free arm but I struggled and aim my gun at it
I pulled the trigger but felt my hand grabbed and point it down...
Y/N: 'She's fast. Wait, I can feel it. I'm not crazy after all' I commented in thought, I can feel her strength by the way she holds my hand down, forcing me to let go of my gun.
She manage to restrain me, but I will never be that easy to be caught.
???: "Human. Calm down and I will-" she said, but I didn't let her finish as I pulled my head back and smash my head at hers and thankfully I still have my helmet on to absorb the damage but left me dizzy
But, no effect. She stood like a statue with that emotionless face. It is clear like daylight that this Humanoid is not human at all too, but she let me go.
Y/N: "You. Are not. Human! I will never believe anything you say" I shouted, voicing my anger.
I pulled out a combat knife and tried my best to pry myself off by stabbing between the "POD's" hand on my arm as it quickly let go
POD: "Restrain failed. Human's safety is the primary goal" it said, then, an idea pop in my head, a very crazy idea if I may say
I aimed the magnum to my head again, as the female android tries to take a step forward but stops
Y/N: "Come closer and I'll pull the trigger! I swear to God I'll do it!" I shouted at them. As they actually believed to my lie, I quickly turn tail and run like hell back to the Warehouse
2B's POV
This human is really not stable in his mind. I have no way to proceed from here if he's going to kill himself, so ensuring the fate of Humanity.
2B: "Run all you want, I'll make sure that you won't get that far from your safe zone" I said as POD flew around me
I then take a different route towards the Human's safe zone...

Y/N's POV
I arrived to the Warehouse and quickly locked the metal door and sealed my fate to never leave this Warehouse...
Y/N: "*Sigh* I'm safe for now" I said, but then heard a mechanical sound from the far end of the Warehouse, I looked to see a much bigger Machine than the ones I fought...
It started heading towards me, as I unstrapped my Anti-Material Rifle and just firing at the huge thing...
Y/N: "Shit! Why won't you just die" I shouted, as I got cornered, and my rifle empty...
I rolled to the side to escape, but the thing somehow grabbed my leg and threw me, busting through the metal doors then outside the Warehouse, hitting the ground hard. Thankfully my power armor took the most of that hellish experience, but that doesn't protects some parts of my body.
Y/N: "Fuck, that fukin hurts..." I said, cursing as long as I want with my face down on the dirt... Then, I heard the machine heading towards me, as I felt it grab me and lift me above the ground
As it stares at me through the helmet I wear, examining me or something. Until, it is about to throw me again, that is when I noticed the android from before, walking casually to me. Is she with the machines.
The machine must have also saw her as it raise me high and just threw me at her. But instead of hitting her hard, I got caught from the side, I looked up to see who my savior is...
Y/N: "You?" I said, shocked of how she manage to caught me mid air. We landed on the ground safely, as I saw the other Android and it was actually just a Decoy created by the POD...
???: "2B" she said, as I look back at her
Y/N: "What?" I said, trying to speak no matter how painful I feel right now
2B: "You can call me 2B" she says, as she slowly put me down to the hard ground with my back on the ruined wall
She readies her weapon, as the machine is distracted on the decoy, attacking at nothing, the POD deactivates the Decoy and before I could continue to watch till the outcome of the fight... I blacked out...
3rd Person's POV
2B quickly moves in to the fight as the machine soon find out the real one is, she unsheathes her sword...
...and slashes at the machine as her attack obviously damages it. The machine noticing the damage dealt to itself, it eyes color change to red as it began to growl in a mechanical way. It charges at 2B but she dealt the finishing blow by slicing upward at the machine, halting from its tracks and she kicks the machine like its nothing to her...
The machine hit through the wall and "Died" as its red eyes fades...
2B's POV
I sheathed my weapon and walk back to the human, I noticed that his head perched down and I quickly moved his side and kneel down to his level...
2B: "Human?" I ask, but no answer, no response. I reposition him to lay on his back on the ground and placed my ear to his upper chest, hearing a steady beating of his heart. "He's alive" I commented
POD: "Suggestion. Removing the Human's helmet will significantly help him breathe properly" it said, I then look down at the Human motionless...
I moved my hands around the helmet, trying to find something that may eject the helmet, soon, I found the part that may look like that can remove the helmet, I pulled it and it releases a hiss. I then grab a hold on the front part, the mask, and lift it gently, noticing how easily it parts from the helmet, I pulled it off and there I saw the Human's face...
Y/N's POV
I starting to regain consciousness... I open my eyes slowly but wince at the sunlight, I then noticed someone over me, creating a shadow that block off the sunlight to me...
Y/N: "2B? *Groan* and here I thought it was all just a dream..." I said, seeing 2B somehow smiles for some reason. "You're smiling? I thought Androids supposed to be emotionless?" I asked
2B: "The mission is complete, I may now escort you to Moon base Luna" she said, as I just continue to groan
Timeskip
3rd Person's POV
3 Months passed, 2b and Y/N are still at the ruin City... He lived through scavenge and returning back to the Warehouse to sleep, and vice versa... 2B on the other hands helps by eliminating threats around the area, as if Y/N's a president and she's his personal bodyguard or something...
Y/N: "I'm back" he announced, returning back to the warehouse in another day of scavenging.
2B: "How is it?" She asks, as he saw her walking down the metal/slightly rusty stairs
Y/N: "Horrible, seeing nothing important nor the foods in this city is empty" he said, complaining as he then sit down on a makeshift coach
2B: "Then why won't you just come with me? At the Base, you could eat anything you want, live a better life than this" she said, as she took a seat beside him
Y/N: "2B, you know I'm Human, well, Half-Human. Not a mortal that will soon die and rot like you may know of..." he said, she somehow listens. "I may have been engineered by psychos that tries to achieve something that most people want"
2B: "What's that?" she asks
Y/N: "Immortality. After hearing their plan, I destroyed the documents and blueprints, next every witness, leaving no evidence behind" he explained
2B: "Why were you chosen then?"
Y/N: "I have Heart Cancer. Shady people approach me and said they found a way to cure me... Sadly, they only experimented on me to get me cured..." he sighs and looked up at the broken window. "Living a long and healthy life... then take my final rest. Not to live forever like a machine... it defies the rules of life"
2B holds my hand, even though there's no warmth from her because of being an Android, I could still feel her trying to comfort me
Y/N: "Seeing the outcome of Humanity... I accept it... We are all monsters trying to play God... and that created a road to extinction..." he continued. He turn to 2B as she looks at him with a faint smile.
2B: "It's fine, Y/N" she said, pulling him towards her, wrapping her arms around him, giving him a hug as he rest his head on her shoulder. "You've been through a lot... I will make sure that this time, it will be different" she says, using her fingers to brush his long dirtied hair
Y/N: "I just miss my past life, 2B. I missed it so much" he cried on her shoulder, while her trying to comfort him...
...
2B: "Ready to go?" she asks
They stood outside the Warehouse, leaving behind everything he collected so far... Also leaving behind his broken helmet...
Y/N: "Yeah, I'm ready" he answered
2B: "Sorry about your helmet. I had no experience with it from my database"
Y/N: "It's fine. Its only sole purpose is to protect me anyway. Right now, you will be its replacement to protect me"
2B: "Well, I could also show you my face to be fair, if you want?"
Y/N: "I already see your face, well, half of it"
2B smiles, as she pulls the cover to the top of her head, looking away from him, trying to avoid eye contact...
Y/N: "Wow..." he said, mesmerized by her beauty for an Android...
He can obviously can tell that this is her first time to remove it since before she did...
Y/N: "For an Android, you're B-E-A-Utiful" he said, as she looks back at him and smiles. "You know, I began to question if you even have emotions or not"
2B: "You may never know till you try" she said before walking
Y/N: "W-What? Hey! Don't just say that without answering my question. 2B! Hey 2B, come on!"
2B: "*Giggles* Let's go, we have a long way to go"
Y/N: "You just giggled! That's not normal! You do have emotions!"
2B: "Y/N~" she cooed
Y/N: "Stop that"
And so, the duo walked down the road, leaving behind the dark past of Humanity, and towards the future of what's left of it... a man who lost his humanity because of his engineered that partially made him immortal, and an Android who broke through the barriers of her emotions, expressing it freely...
