Evelyn Carter.
The story follows Evelyn on her journey into the unknown. She was abandoned as a baby and was raised by Melissa and James Carter. They was the perfect family until Melissa fell pregnant with Bailey when Evelyn was 5 years old.
Bailey and Evelyn are very close despite the 5 year age gap.
Evelyn is externally bright and a fast learner. Evelyn's best friend Mia was killed in an animal attack when she was 16 and since then she hasn't gone out much since.
Everyone called her Eve except for James and Melissa. They were always very evil to Evelyn and blamed her for everything.
She is strong willed and and externally stubborn. But at the same time she has a very kind heart. She feels obligated to care for everyone especially children. She spends her spare time volunteering at the orphanage and at an animal rescue centre.
