It's nightfall now, Thomas and I have been sitting in the pit for a few hours by now,
nobody...not even Newt has came to check on us,
maybe he wasn't allowed to but who knows.

A shiver runs down my spine,
"Bloody hell, it's freezing." I speak,
I put my hands between my thighs trying to warm myself up in anyway possible,
"You must have been hanging out with Newt a lot." Thomas chuckles,
"What do you mean?"
"You've picked up some of his vocabulary." He smirks,
"It's not a bad thing." I stab a stick into the ground,
"Didn't say it was." He pauses for a moment,
It goes silent, all that is heard are some far off talking in he distance, as the gladers should be off to bed soon,
Suddenly Thomas speaks again,
"You like him don't you?"
I turn to him, looking him in the eyes,
I know what he means, just by looking into his dark brown eyes, his long brown hair is perfectly placed, not a piece out of place, I admire him for a moment,
I snap myself out of my thoughts,
"I don't know, liking someone, or being with someone is hard to think about in a place like this, you know?" I finally respond,
He gives a small nod in agreement, "Yeah, I get it."
Changing the subject I try to lighten the mood, "I've heard there's another girl in the glade now, so who knows what could happen."
I nudge his shoulder and give him a cheeky smile,
"For youuuu." I drag out my words,
"No, no way."
"Is she pretty?" I push,
"I guess." He pauses, "but, not as pretty as you."
"Yeah, well she's probably not as cold as I am right now either."
I touch my hand to his lower neck softly,
He flinches away, "Jesus y/n, you are cold!"
I let out a laugh, "well warm me up then."
He doesn't hesitate to do so as he comes closer to me, he wraps his arms around me and I lay my head against his chest, I snake my arms around his waist trying to take in as much of his warmth as I can.
We spend our first night in the pit cuddled together.
