Malachite looked down as he hid in the forests near the tournament he still wanted to support his comrades in the tournament but he wont do it up front he didnt want to be looked at so he hid in the trees amd leaned onto the tree. He closed his eyes and waited till the match started. He didnt realize he fell asleep
"That boy isnt he from the bigsberry village? The one the nobles got rid of for more space for their companies?" A noble woman whispers. A small malachite walked down the streets of the town close to what used to be his home the poor kid. He then searched in the trash he was at least 8 being only a few months after the massacre.
Malachite found something and yelps as a rock was throw at him. Malachite only growled softly and bit the kids hand in the end making the kid cry out for their mama. The woman got mad a through a water spell at malachite. It kept on like that for months of 'are they nice or are they not?' only a few weeks before his 9th birthday.
Malachite felt almost dead at that point as he walked through the streets again as he was grabbed "hey look its the rat whos been tainting our beloved town we should put him to his place with the rest of those peasants from that poor village" one spatted holding malachite as he struggles.
They all played with malachite till malachite looked at the pendant one was wearing and it belonged to one of his caretakers. They were using it as damn bottle opener, "give me that its mine!" Malachite yelled out but was kicked. And laughed at "that old woman wouldnt stop hollering, that land of yours was what us nobles had the right to have they didnt pay what they needed to pay and they were wiped off the face of the earth for it cus of it huh kid? It was bound to happen, it gives more room for the nobility who deserve rich soils like that and this town is just the perfect candidates to receive all that was given to us serves them right so they die like the filthy digs they are" the man using the pendant states as he grabbed the magic item that was on Malachites face "look at his eyes....like the devil I knew theybwere hiding something" a woman whispers. Malachite only screamed out to give it back.
Malachites eyes widen a bit "you....destroyed my home....for your own well beings they werebthe nicest people....ever" he whispers and grew angry. The most angry he had ever felt and let out a huge amount of Mana and a loud angry roar. A black mana only seethed out of his eyes like smoke and it wrapped itself around him, The people screamed malachite looked at the people and attacked but everything went blank for malachite.
Malachite opened his eyes to look at the field seeing asta was using his dark form again making him look in amazement. He then felt someone behind him he knew who it was "what do you want vanessa?" Malachite asked. Vanessa sighed and shook her head "you know I dont know what ticked you off but dont listen to what the king says i know your more then that kiddo" Vanessa pats Malachite's head.
Malachite didn't look at her and sighed softly "give me time and I'll be back..." Malachite whispers softly. Vanessa only nods "alright kiddo im sure asta will be very happy to see your back" she teased malachite looked at vanessa with a bright red face. Making the witch laugh in amusement "man you've got to tell asta how you feel at some point" vanessa giggled. Malachite pouts and looked away "not yeet" malachite whined.
Vanessa only nods and made her way back.
He watched as asta won making him smiled happily seeing him. "The back bulls and the countless amount of people asta has helped" he chuckles softly amd blushed "I want to maybe be saved by him too Hehehehehe like a knight in shining armoooor!" Malachite blushed and rolled around a bit then saw that finral is up. He was, vs his young brother and Leopold was in finrals team as well so malachite knew who to c heer for. What concerned him is the magic within langris.
Malachite watched at what was going on his eyes widen as he saw the sky darken and felt a bad taint of Mana. Malachite's eyes widen as he made his way towards the tournament again. "FINRAL!" he calls out in panick as he saw langris looking like he really was gonna kill finral.
Then a huge explosion went off thr crystal broke but finral was pieced with holes as well. Malachites eyes widen but then saw langris was ready to kill finral who was on the ground.
Malachite concentrated on his magic in him and in a blink of an eye he had his hand gripping Langris's neck while luck, magna and asta were there protecting finral. "Make one more " malachite his form being exactly like when he fought asta before
"One little step" magna added "your dead" luck growled. The rest of the black bulls there "something was wrong with you, the match was already over" asta gritted his teeth.
Langris looked at those in front of him then felt shivers go down his spine when he hear Malachite's voice in his ear . "yo I black bulls have gotten better but do you think you can really take on the vice captain of the golden dawn?" Langris huffs "your rank has nothing to do with this" asta glared "all we really care about is protecting our friend from a monster like you" malachite hissed. "Heh your one to talk, sooner or later you will be nothing but a monster" langris smirks making malachite grit his teeth in anger.
"Thats quiet enough" Julius states as he popped up with marx, guard and the doctor. Malachite was so focused on langris like a tiger to its prey and he didnt hear the wizard king till he felt some on take his hand. Malachite snapped out of it and looked to see asta, malachite glared at langris then pulled away as his form faded away.
He only stood aside "glad to see you've joined us" Julius said softly to malachite. Malachite only scoffs and ignores him they then got the doctor to start healing finral as much as he could. "Your friend is utterly pathetic a disgrace of our family" langris states "what did you say?" Magna growled "maybe I think I will kill you" luck threatened. "Whats trash likenyou doing in the magic knights? You dont deserve to be in the best of teams if your gonna act like complete filth" malachite states venom dripping from his words as he looked down at langris. Malachite managed to actually strike a nerve.
"Finral is one of the nicest people I've ever met hes a trie magic knight, your the failure you dont deserve the title no matter how strong you are" asta yelled. Which struck another nerve "you will regret those words, fools" langris whispers he almost thought he was VERY interested in Malachite but he was pathetic to be siding with his brother. "You might have lucked out to move up but your still a nobody whos talking to someone completely out of your league" langris states and turns to julius.
"Allow me tonput these black bulls to their place" langris states before he lifted his hand up again "in fact the semi finales begins now!" Langris attacked away with his dark spacial magic but asta was fast in cutting through it. "The black bulls are the lowest and you two are the worst of them all!" Langris growled out as the three started to attack but Julius came in and made sure they calmed down. His spell over lapsed in malachite so it didnt affect him but Julius stopped him by his own hand "I dont think this is the way to settle things malachite refrain from the battle field and see if finral will be okay" julius suggests with a smile.
"Always the same julius, whats that again words with empty meanings as always?" Malachite asked bitterly "it is not I know you are worried about your friend" Julius states. Malachite clenched his fist then gave in and made his way to the doctor and the others his knees growing weak which was a first. Since when did he ever get tired from using magic? He didnt know but he only sat down looking at finral in worry.
"You know I dont know about flirting with guys but try to poke where he might be flustered in" finral smirks "h-huh!?" Malachite exclaims blushing brightly "oh come on its reaaaally obvious you looke love sick" finral laughed. Malachite pouts "with how dense asta is he'll never really see me as....someone more then just a partner" malachite mumbles "hey!" Finral huffs as he flicked his forehead "ow!" Malachite yelps and pouts "never say that or else you will never have astas heart with that mindset you gotta be persistent" finral smiled. "Yeah I should be persistent like you, flirting with girls constantly and time iver time being rejected like a loser" malachite mumbles. "Yeah liie-" Finral smiled and nods but posed "HEY DONT TALK DOWN ON YOUR SUPERIOR" finral yelled out.
Malachite only laughed happily. Finral pouts but smiled softly and laughed with malachite.
Malachite sighed and glanced to the battle field he looked at the battle.
"Kick his ass asta"
