No POV
It's early in the morning the next day and the sun has yet to rise as we get our sight on Y/n sleeping in his bunk before the lights outside suddenly turn on, the resounding chorus of people groaning in discomfort, annoyance, and confusion ringing out as Y/n and Scythana both woke up with the other prisoners
Scythana: "The hell's going on out there?"
Y/n: "I don't know, let's go check"
Scythana: "You go, I'll just...lay here..."
and with that, Scythana then yawned and started drifting off again as Y/n then got out of bed and walked to the prison cell door as he tried his best to look outside but couldn't see much as all he heard was the shouts of the other prisoners before two Black Egret soldiers came to a stop at his cell and turned to face him as Parasoul walked into View
Y/n: "Ms. Renoir? Why have you come here this early in the morning?"
Parasoul: "I've gone over your offer with other key members of the Black Egrets and we've all come to the same conclusion"
Y/n: "And that is?"
Parasoul stood there in silence for a few moments, an unreadable expression on her face as the two Egrets next to her tightened their grips on the STG 44's in their hands which put Y/n on high alert as Scythana was now wide awake and peeking over the railing of her bed
All was silent for a few seconds before a smile found it's home on Parasoul's face as she held her hand out to the side as an Egret handed her a red armband which she then placed in Y/n's hand
Parasoul: "Welcome to the Black Egrets Y/n"
Examining the armband, we saw that the Icon on it was different from the rest of the Egrets, It was a picture of the Skull heart with the Egret's umbrella in the middle of its forehead and Y/n sighed in relief before chuckling to himself
Y/n: "For a second there, I thought you were going to shoot me"
Parasoul: "That would be a foolish mistake on my end, having you on our side makes you a valuable asset to combat the Skullgirl when they show themselves"
Y/n: "When you say it like that, makes me feel like I'm just some weapon for you to use at any time"
Scythana: "Because you pretty much are"
Hearing Scythana's voice, they looked back to see her now sitting up and looking down at them as Parasoul's smile turned to a scowl at the sight of the Half Gigan
Parasoul: "I was unaware that you were made her cellmate of all people"
Scythana: "Good to see you too princess"
The tension was so thick it could be cut with a knife as the two silently glared at each other before Y/n then snapped his fingers, getting their attention as he then started talking
Y/n: "Alright, well When do we leave?"
Parasoul: "Right now"
Y/n: "Really? damn, ok then. well just give a moment to say goodbye to my friend here"
Parasoul: "I'll give you five minutes"
Parasoul and the Egrets then walked off as Y/n then sighed and leaned against the wall and looked up at Scythana who was looking down at him
Y/n: "Well Scythana, looks like this is goodbye for now"
Scythana: "Sure looks like it..."
Y/n: "I may have been in here for less than a week but I have to say, I'm sure gonna miss it here"
This got a chuckle out of Scythana as she then hopped off the bed and landed on the ground with the usual thud as she stood in across from Y/n
Scythana: "Oh yeah? and why's that? you gonna miss me are ya?"
Scythana grinned smugly at Y/n as he smirked back at her before nodding his head
Y/n: "Bingo"
Hearing this, Scythana's grin disappeared and was replaced with a surprised expression
Scythana: "You're fucking with me, right?"
Y/n: "Nope, far from it pal, hanging out with you in here was kinda fun I'll have to admit so it sucks I've got to go now but hey, I'll try and get you out of here sooner or later so don't you worry about that now, you hear"
Y/n then started walking towards the cell door, leaving Scythana there as although Y/n couldn't see it due to her height and in the darkness, a small blush was present on her face as she looked to see him somehow already outside of the cell as he started to walk away as Scythana then sat on his bunk and chuckled to herself
Scythana: "Weird kid, better keep himself alive"
With Y/n we see him walking down the catwalk along the prison cells in the direction that Parasoul and the Egret troops had walked in, coming to find them standing near a cell waiting and when they all noticed him out of his cell, Parasoul quickly approached him with a soft glare before she stopped a few feet away from him
Parasoul: "And how did you get out of your cell exactly?"
Y/n: "I kinda took this from one of your guards"
Pulling a key from his pocket, Y/n then handed it back to Parasoul as she then handed it to one of the Egrets as she pinched the bridge of her nose and sighed
Parasoul: "Please don't make me regret this Mr. L/n"
Y/n: "No worries, I'll be on my absolute best behavior, I promise"
Y/n then crossed his heart to prove he meant it as Parasoul then shook her head and turned around and started walking away while motioning for Y/n to follow
Parasoul: "Alright, well we need to be going, there is going to be a public announcement in the afternoon to explain why you're now free and to avoid any future panic when you're seen in public"
Y/n: "Ok, so where are we going?"
Parasoul: "You are going to be sent to Lab 8 to reside there until further notice, while I return home and get some sleep, we'll arrange a proper residence for you once everything has died down"
Y/n: "I've actually got a home in Maple-"
Parasoul: "Out of the question for now, You'll need to be in the city and somewhere we can get to you without hassle"
Y/n: "I guess that's fine, but I'll still be able to walk around in public right? you're not just going to try and keep me locked up until you need me?"
Parasoul: "I was never planning on doing such a thing, You're a Citizen of the Canopy kingdom now and will be treated as such, but All I ask of you is to not leave until the public speaking is over with"
Y/n: "Sure, I can do that, no problem"
Parasoul: "Good, now let us be off"
And with that, Parasoul, Y/n, and the Black Egrets all left the prison and were met with more Egrets that were guarding a waiting convoy of vehicles that included: A motorcycle that housed an umbrella on it's side while four more motorcycles with sidecars surrounded it along with a 1931 Chrysler Imperial at the back of the motorcycle convoy
Parasoul made her way to the Motorcycle with the Umbrella on it while the Egrets guided Y/n to the Chrysler and placed him in the back seat as two got in the front driver seat and passenger seat and the rest of the Egrets got on the Motorcycles and filled in the sidecars before they all took off into the busy night
