a quick warning: this is LONG!
4-5 times my usual length long, but the more iwaoi the better is my general rule

Nervously, Oikawa glanced at the other first years lining the gym.

Two people he didn't recognize, and two people remembered to be Hanamaki from Physics and Matsukawa from Geometry. Of course, there was also his best friend who was standing slightly more confident next to him.

High school, Oikawa thought, was scary.

He didn't know anyone in the room well aside from Iwaizumi. The third years were scary and the second years gave him looks that made him rather uncomfortable. But it was okay, because Iwaizumi was there and he wouldn't let anyone hurt him.

Still, Iwaizumi could tell Oikawa was nervous. As soon as the water break rolled around and the prying eyes of the rest of the gym were busy with their own activities, he stood on his toes to give Oikawa a light kiss on the check.

Oikawa relaxed a little and Iwaizumi smiled lightly to himself. "4."

As of now, the start of their first year of high school and early into their relationship, they had shared 4 kisses - only on the cheeks, (or forehead in Oikawa's case considering he was taller), they had a lifetime, why rush?

The gaze of their teammates wasn't entirely gone, as Hanamaki snickered and Matsukawa showed a smug smile. They mimicked them momentarily, Makki reaching up to give his own boyfriend a chaste kiss on the cheek.

Oikawa only rolled his eyes, reaching down and laying a kiss on Iwaizumi's cheek and mentally noting that they will not be outdone. "5."

Iwaizumi was pretty red, but nobody was paying attention as they only watched Mattsun do the same from a few feet away.

~

They were quick to become friends with Makki and Mattsun - and eventually, Makki and Mattsun figured they couldn't out Iwaoi the Iwaoi.

"Iwaizumi, bro, what's with you glaring daggers at the first years?"

With a dramatic roll of his eyes, Iwaizumi turned sharply towards Matsukawa. "I'm doing no such thing."

The scary third years were gone and new first years had joined the team. They didn't know the newbies too well yet, but Oikawa was quick to befriend Watari and Yahaba. Kyotani, on the other hand, didn't even want to talk to him or anyone for that matter.

Mattsun smirked, slinging an arm around Iwaizumi's shoulders. "Geez, you're shorter than I remember. But anyway, I don't know why you're jealous, he's just talking to them."

"I'm not jealous," Iwaizumi sighed, "Just, what if 'Kawa decides he likes one of them more than me?"

A frown graced Mattsun's lips. "I wouldn't worry about that."

"What are you implying with that?"

"I mean," Matsukawa smiled, "First of all, I think the angry looking first year would bite Oikawa's head off if he went for Yahaba, and second I think Watari is straight."

Iwaizumi only sighed again, running his hand through his hair. "Eh, I doubt it's possible to be straight long after looking at 'Kawa, but you're right I think he's got a girlfriend. Still, Oikawa might end up liking them more than me."

"You're stupid," Mattsun bonked Iwa's head, "Stupid, stupid, if you think Oikawa would ever like anyone over you. I'd bet you he's telling them about how awesome you are right now."

Oh, Oikawa was. And he didn't pause his passionate ranting for nothing, but the look on Iwaizumi's face gave him the idea he should go see what's wrong.

With an excited bounce in his step, Oikawa made his way over to his boyfriend. "Hey, Iwa-chan! What's up?"

Iwaizumi moved to give the usual response of 'nothing', but Mattsun was there first. "Not much, just this small kid over here doubting your love for him."

Oikawa gasped and frowned, moving a hand to his hip. "Am I not showy enough? Should I make it more evident?"

"No, Oikawa, it's-"

Iwaizumi's words of protest were quickly interrupted with Oikawa's lips on his own, his face flushing quickly but before he could settle into it, Oikawa was already a foot away from him. He wanted to yell at Oikawa for making him all flustered during practice, but he couldn't.

He just stood there, still trying to grasp the feeling of Oikawa's smooth lips and trying not to pass out on the spot. Oikawa giggled, leaning closer to collide their foreheads. His gaze was affectionate and Iwaizumi wondered how someone could possibly have so much adoration in their eyes. (not that he could tell, but his eyes had just as much sweetness towards his boyfriend.) "29!"

"You guys know I'm still here, right?"

~

A grin filled Oikawa's face as he watched Iwaizumi trip over himself and nearly fall.

He was evil, in the sweetest way possible.

For Iwaizumi, this was his first, (and only), relationship and being completely whipped for Oikawa as he was, he swooned over every little thing - this was far from an exception.

With a genuine smile, Oikawa had looked him dead in the eye, winking as he said, "Good luck on the French test, mi amor~!"

Iwaizumi couldn't blame Oikawa so he took it out on the French language. How awful of French for letting Oikawa sound so smooth with the foregin words of endearment, and how awful of the school administers for letting him into a class to learn it.

He only glared at Oikawa, balancing himself out as he quickly packed his lunch mess to rush off to French class. Oikawa caught him, however, mid rush and placed a quick kiss on his boyfriend's forehead. "38. Good luck again, darling!"

Iwaizumi wished he'd studied harder, although he knew the reason he failed was Oikawa and his stupid sweet moments he couldn't bring his thoughts away from.

~

Triumphantly, Oikawa showed off his box of matcha-flavored pocky.

Iwaizumi quirked an eyebrow, not paying it much mind as he continued his school work. That was obviously not the reaction Oikawa wanted, so he scooted closer and grabbed one, looking expectantly at Iwaizumi.

"What do you want, why are you looking at me like that?!"

Oikawa only hummed, gesturing to the box he'd set on the table. "Pocky."

"Uh-huh." Iwaizumi furrowed his eyebrows, eyes drifting back to his textbook. "I can see that."

With an exaggerated sigh, Oikawa set one in Iwaizumi's hand. "They're your favorite!"

Iwaizumi shrugged, breaking off a bit with his teeth as he stared blankly at Oikawa. "Thanks, I guess?"

Whatever, Oikawa thought, grabbing his own piece. He didn't need some stupid challenge anyway.

Iwaizumi noted Oikawa's change in expression, and he sorted through his brain. He'd figured Oikawa wanted to do the pocky challenge as he seemed to enjoy romance cliches. He wasn't against it, far from it really, but he wasn't sure how to initiate something like that.

He carefully reached over and grabbed a new piece, cautiously bringing it to his lips and setting it evenly so it balanced. He tapped Oikawa's thighs, and all unease vanished once he saw the giddy look in Oikawa's eyes.

Iwaizumi forgot the main point of the game was to not pull away soon after starting.

Not that would've lost still, but he didn't even want to move. He liked having a reason to be so close to his boyfriend and admire his features without the other making some snarky comment.

The pocky didn't break, and with a half smile Oikawa gave him a quick kiss before pulling away. "53, looks like that was a tie. Up for a rematch?"

Iwaizumi smiled himself, grabbing another piece.

~

You make me feel like sugar-coated mangos, Iwa-chan! I love you!

Iwaizumi stared questionably at the heart-covered note he'd found in his locker, undoubtedly from Oikawa.

Oikawa was cheesy, but this wasn't cheesy, it was mango-y and Iwaizumi didn't know how this was supposed to be considered a valentine. Under the note were several large bags of dried mangos, taking up at least half his locker.

He'd expected a volleyball pun, maybe something overused or a cliche saying drawn on a store-bought card, but this out-mangoed his expectations. With a small chuckle, Iwaizumi set the note in his pocket and shoved a bag of mangos in his backpack.

Not thinking much of it, Iwaizumi opened one bag to keep in his locker and ate one.

They were really good, and Iwaizumi was at least pleased Oikawa had remembered his disapproval of chocolate.

By the proud smile on Oikawa's face as he rushed up to Iwaizumi, bags of gifts from random girls hanging off his arms, it was evident he was excited with his valentine creation. "Iwa-chan, Iwa-chan!"

Iwaizumi hummed as he strode closer to Oikawa, habitually intertwining their hands as he greeted his boyfriend. "Hey, 'Kawa. How was class?"

Gesturing to the overflowing bags, Oikawa grinned. "Great, actually! I only got half the amount I got last year, I think you're finally starting to scare them off!"

Not that he'd admit it, but Iwaizumi hoped he was scaring people off. How hard was it to see that he was taken? "I'm not that bad, meany-kawa! Besides, remember how scared you were of the third years? Of course they'd be nervous!"

Oikawa huffed but nonetheless understood where Iwa was coming from. "Yeah, yeah. But hey, you can't complain since you don't have a lot to carry!"

Iwaizumi thought back to the many bags of mangos in his locker and the one in his backpack. Had he chosen to carry all of them, he would've been carrying more than Oikawa.

Oikawa grinned as he leaned down momentarily, giving his boyfriend a quick kiss on the lips. "Mm, that was 60 and you didn't get all the sugar off your lips. Glad to know you at least ate some of the mangos!"

Iwaizumi only rolled his eyes as they strolled out of school. "Yeah, yeah, but happy Valentine's Day, 'Kawa."

Oikawa smiled in response, "Yeah, happy Valentine's day, darling!"

~

Oikawa and Iwaizumi always spent lunch with Mattsun and Makki in the garden. Seeing as most students ate on the roof or in the cafeteria, it was generally just them with the pretty flowers.

It'd become some kind of routine that Oikawa would bring baked goods on Friday, and naturally today was no expedition.

Today, however, he had homemade fortune cookies and for his first attempt, they looked pretty good. He excitedly passed them between his friends, making sure to give the one with a small heart drawn on the bag to his boyfriend.

"Fortune cookies?" Matsukawa grinned, turning the small bag in his palm. "They look nice."

Makki nodded in agreement, twisting the small tie Oikawa had tied the bags with. "Geez, Oikawa, I swear you and your cookie skills are something."

Oikawa smiled, appreciating his friend's compliments as he was never sure if they'd actually look good or even taste good before he shared them. "Thanks, you two! I'm only hoping they taste as good as they look haha."

Iwaizumi absentmindedly pulled at the paper sticking partly out of one of the cookies. They were folded well, but as Iwaizumi was talented with pulling the paper out gently he managed to get it out in one piece.

The note was white and many small hearts were drawn in red. In the center, in Oikawa's neat, small handwriting, the note read:

I love you so much you look so nice and I love you you are so hot thank you for existing!!!

Iwaizumi grinned at the paper, folding it carefully and setting it in his pocket. "'Kawa, come here."

Oikawa raised an eyebrow, but nonetheless set his lunch down and scooted to the other end of the table. "What's up, Iwa-chan?"

With a gentle kiss set on Oikawa's nose, Iwaizumi twirled a strand of Oikawa's hair. "There's 76 for my equally hot boyfriend."

"...geez, it's been three years and you guys still forget we're here!"

~

Iwaizumi wasn't sure if he even wanted to graduate.

Seijoh was a shining place in his mind, and he wasn't ready to leave. He wasn't ready to leave lunches with Mattsun, Makki, and Oikawa, not for a new university team, or even move away from his parents.

At the very least, Oikawa wasn't leaving him.

They'd found a community college in Tokyo they'd attend together that even allowed them to dorm together. Still, community college was only so many years before they'd have to move away to pursue their different careers.

He looked at himself in the mirror. He was dressed in some kind of casual attire for the graduation party he didn't even want to attend, but Oikawa practically begged him and he couldn't say no to a full day of cuddles, homemade cookies, and godzilla - that would be a crime.

He heard a knock on the door, giving him a light startle. In a rush, he grabbed his bag and flung himself down stairs, greeting Oikawa who had a single rose in his hand. "Oikawa!"

Oikawa giggled as he passed the flower to his boyfriend. "Running late, typical Iwa-chan. You ready to go?"

Iwaizumi huffed as he nodded, locking the door behind him as Oikawa dragged him to his car.

The party was loud and obnoxiously colorful and he wanted to go home. Oikawa looked displeased as he was, turning his face in disgust at the hordes of sweaty people grouping around him. "I'm ready to go home."

Oikawa nodded, silently pulling them out of and sighing at the fresh, chilly night air. "That has to mark the worst party I've ever been to."

"That makes two of us," Iwaizumi grimaced as he sidestepped a pile of puke, "I'm never letting you drag me to one of these again."

"We both know that's a lie." The faint light gave Oikawa's grin an angelic glow, and Iwaizumi couldn't help think Oikawa might as well be an angel.

Upon reaching Oikawa's car, parked far out to avoid the other reckless teenage drivers, Oikawa popped the trunk and practically collapsed into his small collection of pillows he kept there. Iwaizumi smiled contently, scooting into the trunk next to his boyfriend.

"Well, whatever. At least we can say we were there." Iwaizumi yawned, twisting on his sides to face Oikawa. "But that was awful."

Oikawa nodded, exhausted from the few minutes they'd spent in the party. "You can say that again..."

Iwaizumi's smile never left his face as he shuffled closer to give Oikawa a quick kiss on the forehead, taking advantage of laying down and having the ability to do so while he could. "94, and hey, Oikawa, you can't fall asleep yet you gotta drive us home!"

"..yeah, yeah, but give me five minutes and then I'll get up."

~

Oikawa huffed as he dropped the cardboard box in his hand. Moving wasn't easy, especially when their dorm was on the 5th floor and the elevator was under repair. He only wished he had muscles like Iwaizumi, who only seemed to sweat a little with each trip up and down.

At least, they were done for the day and had moved all their stuff from home they were planning on keeping into their dorm.

Tomorrow they'd have to go get minimal furniture to fill the rooms a bit, but the school was kind enough to leave rooms with two beds, a kitchen, a table, and a couch for free. Still, the kitchen was minimal and they'd have to get a few pots and pans, a kettle and the other essentials.

Food, too, was something they didn't have yet, so they'd have to go eat at the cafeteria for tonight - but that was another 5 stories down and even if Oikawa was hungry, he wasn't another long trip down the stairs hungry so he'd survive.

He heard the door creak, and heavy steps near the bedroom. "Iwa-chan?"

The door opened, revealing Iwaizumi who was in a fine condition, hot as always and Oikawa wanted to cover his face because he was so gross and sweaty. "Hey, 'Kawa, wanna meet me in the kitchen for a sec?"

Oikawa whined as he scooted back his bed. "I don't wanna get up, Iwa-chan, I'm so tired! How are you so, so not tired?!"

Iwaizumi grinned as he pulled Oikawa up, grabbing him bridal style off the bed and marching towards the kitchen. "One of us has to have muscles!"

Oikawa rolled his eyes, sliding quickly onto one of the barstools as soon as Iwaizumi set him down. "Yeah, yeah, you're the muscles I get it. I'm not too jealous though, actually, I think you should be! I'm the one who has a boyfriend with big muscles."

Iwaizumi chuckled lightly, joining Oikawa on the other barstool. "Eh, I think you'd be jelly if you saw my boyfriend, but regardless, I bought food."

Oikawa perked up, eying Iwaizumi who only smiled and set a wrapped sandwich in front of Oikawa. "Apparently the school's got it's own subway in the cafeteria."

With an excited gasp, Oikawa unraveled the paper to find a hot meatball sub - his favorite, and Iwaizumi was a saint for this. Oikawa reached over, showering his boyfriend with about a million kisses, Iwaizumi happily accepting them all.

"105, 106, 107, Iwa-chan, move closer for a second! Thank you, 108..."

~

Oikawa smiled as he watched his boyfriend run towards him, a grin painting Iwaizumi's own face.

It'd only been a few months since they've seen eachother in person last, but that was far too long for the two who had been attached at the hip since first grade. "I missed you, I missed you, I missed you! It's so boring without you, and wait-"

Oikawa gasped at Kageyama, who was standing awkwardly behind Iwaizumi with a bag in his hand. "Tobio-chan?"

"Hello," Kageyama greeted, "Oikawa-san."

Oikawa's cheeks started to hurt with his smile only growing. "You must be here for Chibi-chan!! He talks so much about you, wait, he didn't tell me you were coming!"

Kageyama nodded, gesturing to Iwaizumi. "I didn't tell him. Iwaizumi-san offered to bring me since he was visiting you and I guess you two are temporarily rooming together?"

WIth a brilliant smile still on his face, Oikawa nodded along happily. "Yes!! Shoyo-chan is at the store right now, but I'll tell him not to take too long."

Kageyama smiled, bowing quickly before Oikawa in thanks. "Thank you."

As Oikawa had promised, Shoyo was unpacking groceries by the time they arrived at their small rental. "Oikawa-san! Hey, why'd you want me home earl- Tobio?!"

Kageyama smiled as he opened his arms, Shoyo immediately dashing from the counter to hug his boyfriend. "Ahh! I missed you! What are you doing here?!"

With a fond smile and a quick ruffle of Hinata's hair, Kageyama turned to Iwaizumi. "Iwaizumi-san let me tag along while he was coming to visit Oikawa-san."

Hinata bounced around the small living room, quickly grabbing his wallet and giving a quick hug to Oikawa before rushing to the door. "Thank you, Iwaizumi-san!! Come on Tobio, there's this really cool restaurant that has really yummy green stuff I want to show you!"

The older boys chuckled as they watched the younger two rush out, Kageyama nearly tripping trying to keep up with Shoyo's speed.

"Iwa-chan," Oikawa smiles, "I'm glad you brought Tobio-chan. Sho-kun talks about him a lot, and I don't think they call as often as we do."

Iwaizumi nodded, a peaceful smile gracing his lips. "You're just happy we get the house to ourselves, selfish-kawa."

"Nu-uh!" Oikawa pouted, "I'm happy for Chibi-chan! Getting Iwa-chan alone time is just a perk!"

"Whatever you say," Iwaizumi grinned, "Liar-kawa."

"Rude, Iwa-chan!" Oikawa sulked, "You're so rude! You're more of a rude-zumi, go back to Japan if you're just here to bully me!"

Iwaizumi rolled his eyes, letting his bags drop on the floor as he scooted closer to his boyfriend, resting his head on his shoulder. "Geez, 'Kawa, you didn't warn me how tiring the plane ride would be!"

Oikawa immediately drooped his teasing to hug his boyfriend and give him a quick kiss on his forehead. "180. Aw, I haven't given you a kiss since we left college! I missed you so much."

Iwaizumi frowned up at his boyfriend. "No, I think that was 181. You kissed me goodbye before you left, remember?"

Oikawa nodded, setting his forehead on top of his boyfriend's. "Aw, you're right. How could I forget?"

"I don't know," Iwaizumi chuckled, "But I think you owe me one more for forgetting."

Oikawa grinned and leaned forward. "I think I do too, 182!"

~

Despite Oikawa's well-paying job, the house he picked was rather small.

Oikawa was beyond excited to buy a house, naturally. He'd been waiting forever and now that Iwaizumi was allowed monthly visits and Shoyo was back in Japan, it was finally possible.

The house was small by choice because Oikawa didn't want it to feel lonely. Afterall, it was just him, Miso, (his and Hinata's cat they'd found wandering the streets without a collar, of course Shoyo wanted to take him but the plane didn't allow pets), and occasionally Iwaizumi.

It'd been just over a month since he'd seen his (fiance!) last, and he was scheduled to visit the next day.

Iwaizumi hadn't seen the house yet, nor had he known Oikawa even bought one, and Oikawa wanted to make sure it was plenty clean and all of the decorations were in place. There were so many plants, at least 5 in each room, and the majority of the lighting was natural, a few lamps around the house for after sunset or early in the morning.

Miso wandered by Oikawa's feet as he prepared the snacks and tea.

His phone went off, signaling he had to be at the airport to pick up Iwaizumi. Groaning as he adjusted a slice of cheese and shoved the plate in the fridge, he threw his shoes on, pet Miso goodbye, and locked the door behind him in a rush.

The drive to the airport was long and boring but Oikawa tried to avoid heavy traffic if possible. The airport was plenty crowded, and Oikawa had to call out for Iwaizumi several times before the shorter boy saw him.

"Hajime, Hajime!"

Iwaizumi chuckled at the excited Oikawa's happy chanting, nodding his head while Oikawa jumped around. "Tooru, Tooru," he gave, in a somewhat playful tone of Tooru's. "Wow, where'd all this energy come from? Can I borrow some?"

Oikawa giggled as he embraced his fiance. "No! I need to show you something!"

Iwaizumi rolled his eyes, allowing Oikawa to drag him to his car, smiling slightly at the Japanese music playing through the speakers. "What's this super cool thing you want to show me?"

Oikawa grinned as he buckled in, hitting the gas pedal in a rush but quickly slowing down to the proper speed. "It's a surprise!"

Iwaizumi quirked an eyebrow as he watched Oikawa turn past their usual stop. He glanced curiously at the small, white house Oikawa had parked in front of. He heard the door opening from the other side, and watched as Oikawa unlocked the door, a small cat running to greet him.

"Is that Miso?"

Oikawa nodded, inviting Iwaizumi in. "Sho-kun left him when he went back to Japan. So he lives with me!"

"..lives with," Iwaizumi's eyes widened, "You live here?"

Oikawa nodded as he brought Iwaizumi to the kitchen, grabbing the snack plate and iced tea. "I do, I do!"

"Calm it with the 'I do's, darling, you gotta save some for our wedding."

Oikawa turned bright red, covering his face as he nearly threw the plate at his fiance. "You're so smooth, Hajime! You're going to kill me!"

Iwaizumi laughed, replying strongly, "I think your arms are gonna kill you first! Geez, how long does it take to water all these plants?"

Oikawa settled down and shrugged. "I dunno, like half an hour?"

"That's a lot." Iwaizumi observed, unhelpfully. "Now come here and give me my kisses!"

"Ahh!" Oikawa yelped as he was pulled from behind into a hug. "Okay, Okay!"

Iwaizumi smiled at his fiance as he turned around, grabbed his cheeks and gave him a kiss. "199!"

~

White was definitely Oikawa's color.

Iwaizumi had known that since high school, the jerseys always seemed to look good on him.

But wow, high school hadn't prepared him for how hot Oikawa was in that suit.

To split their wedding evenly, Oikawa wore white and Iwaizumi wore navy blue, although Iwaizumi would be the one to walk down the aisle, Takeru trailing behind him with a huge grin plastered on his face. It was their wedding, they got to do it how they wanted.

Oikawa, on the other hand, was trying not to pass out from how 'aww' his soon-to-be-husband looked.

Oikawa didn't pay much attention to whatever the guy was saying. Rather, he took his time looking Iwaizumi in the eyes, it'd be recorded anyway. With a fond smile, Oikawa leaned in to give Iwaizumi a kiss, Iwaizumi doing the same.

As soon as they pulled apart, Oikawa smiled brightly and bopped his husband's nose. "270!"

Even if just Makki and Mattsun understood, the small crowd of family and friends that had traveled all the way to Argentina cheered.

270 marked the best day of their lives - their wedding.

~

"Miso-! Ugh!"

Tooru collapsed onto the sofa, trying to ignore the large pile of cat puke sitting next to the coffee table. "I swear, cat, if I have to clean up one more puke, ahh!"

With a loud groan, Tooru stared at the pile with disgust. "That's disgusting. So gross."

Hajime, being a good husband, entered the room to check up on Tooru when he heard him whining after plopping on the sofa. "Hey, Tooru, what's- Ew!"

Hajime dashed to the other side of the room, looking at the pile with detest gleaming in his eyes, staring in horror at his foot that had just barely been saved from stomping in it. "Did you throw up! Oh- I'll go get a blanket and water, you stay-"

"No, no," Tooru chucked, "It's Miso's. I'll get it."

Seeing the exhaustion is his husband's eyes, Hajime sighed. "I got this one, you get it normally anyway."

Too tired to fight on it,Tooru nodded and muttered some kind of appreciation to Hajime. Hajime felt his chest flutter with adoration, and wow, being married for 4 years and dating since 8th grade, he's still totally whipped. "...oh, how I love you."

A sleepy grin covered Tooru's face. "Love you too, Hajime, now come give me a kiss before you clean!"

Hajime fondly chuckled, scotting onto the couch and giving his husband a quick kiss on the forehead. "There you go, darling, I'm gonna-"

"Wait!" Tooru whined, grabbing his boyfriend by the wrist and dragging him back down. "478! You owe me another one for forgetting!"

"Oh whatever," Hajime said as he leaned back down to pay what he owed, "You're so dramatic!"

"But you love me!"

"If I didn't, we wouldn't be at 479."

Being back in Japan was nice - really nice, actually.

Tooru had finally gotten the okay for a 3 month break, and of course he decided to take an extended trip back to his home.

Thankfully, Hajime had a small apartment in Japan for training, so he wouldn't have to pay hotel or rental fees.

His first stop, of course, was back to Miyagi to visit his mom. Hajime had booked a flight back too, so they'd get to stay with Tooru's mom for a while and visit Hajime's mom too.

Tooru had arrived a day earlier than Hajime, grateful he got to spend the day catching up with his mom but also beyond excited to see his husband after a long month. "Mama," He grinned, "Hajime's coming today!"

His mom happily nodded, rubbing Tooru's unstyled hair. "He is! I'm excited to see my son-in-law again, it's been so long! You boys are both so big!"

Tooru was quick to jump to the door when the bell rang, embracing his husband in a tight hug and excitedly ushering him inside, barely giving Hajime time to take off his shoes.

"Mama, mama! Hajime is here!!"

Tooru's mom smiled. "Oh, you used to get just as excited when Hajime came over for playdates - oh, speaking of, I found the picture book this morning!"

Tooru's eyes widened and he tried to make a dash for his room, not wanting to sit through another ton of embarrassing memories and "Aww, you were so cute when you were little!"s, but Hajime was there, evil as his mom, making him sit next to him on the couch.

"Mrs. Oikawa, I think I saw the book on your counter. Would you like me to go grab it?"

Tooru's mom cheekily smiled, setting a cup of tea in front of each of the boys. "No, but thank you dear, I'll grab it. You keep Tooru from running off, got it?"

Hajime smirked and nodded, Tooru sulking in his seat as he dejectedly drank his tea. "You're still just a meany-iwa-wait! Is it meany-kawa now? No, wait, Meany-Haji! Close enough."

Hajime rolled his eyes, leaning in to peck his husband's lips. "609, and I liked darling better, besides, little Tooru is cute!"

Tooru only grumbled, stirring another clump of sugar into his tea. "...meany-hajime...."
