"Line up maggots!" Bruce screamed.
We all got in to a line.
"Today some adopters are coming by, best behavior and happy faces."
We were actually fed a good meal so it didn't seen like they starved us, which they did.
We lined up, oldest to youngest. A nice-looking family with a young son walked in. They walked toward Mikey and said,
"Son, how would you like to be a Nicholeson?"
I froze. They wanted to take mike away from me. He was all I had left. I lunged at the family and Luke held me back.
"LEAVE ME BROTHER ALONE!"
"HES ALL I HAVE LEFT!!" Luke grabbed me and dragged me I to my room and locked the door. I crawled into the corner, letting my hair fall over my face.
"What is wrong with you!" I screamed. He looked hurt but to be honest I didn't care right now I'm worried about my brother.
"Indie, I didn't want you to get hurt, just stay clear of Bruce and David for now ok?" He kissed the top of my forehead and walked out of my door. i guess I should be happy for my brother, he's in a better place now, well he's not dead but I hope he likes his new "family".
I said aloud,
"Bye bye Mikey".
