Finn closed his eyes. Memories flashed, unbidden, across his mind.
Violet's fever-bright eyes boring into him. Hammerhead's confused gaze flickering to realization and horror.
She had known. He hadn't.
"She didn't let it."
Finn opened his eyes. Fontaine was watching him, eyebrows squished together in confusion.
Finn took a deep breath and let his mind return to the day he'd done his best to forget. He and Fontaine needed answers; and it seemed the day of Violet's death held the key.
