"Ancient Greece" Cory starts class off, I already warned Michelle about how Cory teaches so she wouldn't be surprised
"What that? What that that?" Riley asked pointing at the present on Cory's desk
"What thi-this?" Cory asked pointing to the present. "This is a present."
"Is it for me?" She asked and Maya, Michelle, and I shared a look
"What's your game, Matthews?" We asked in unison making him look at us weirdly.
"Game? I mean no game. I just want to know who here wants this present."he asked the class and all students raise their hands except Maya, Michelle, and I.
"Oh, You three, what? You assume by playing hard to get, I'm gonna give it to you?"
"Well, yes. That's one of the many arrows in my quiver." Michelle told him and Farkle shudders
"Medieval talk-- What are you doing to me, woman?" Farkle asked looking at her. She looks over at me and I nodded
"I told you so"
"Riley." Cory says handing her the box
"Yay!" Riley opens the box, pulling out a small black board that said
"The Trojan horse"? Riley asked in disgust that she fell for her father's tricks
"Surprise." Cory says smiling while I just shook my head
"This isn't a present. This is one of your life lessons wrapped up in a class lesson wrapped up in a box of nothing." Riley said frustrated
"How you doing, honey?" Maya asked her
"I'm all worked up." Riley said
"We know." Michelle and I said
"You assumed because it was all neat and pretty that something good was inside. Ancient Troy was protected by walls. The Greeks couldn't get in, so they built a big wooden horse and left it behind. What do you think the Trojans did?" Cory asked the class
"They left it there because they were afraid that somebody was trying to teach them something." Riley said still mad that Cory tricked her
"They captured it as a trophy and brought it inside. That night, the Greek soldiers crawled out of the horse and defeated Troy. What have we learned here?" Cory asked and Lucas raises his hand
"Mr. Friar."
"Don't make assumptions based on what you see?" Lucas answered
"Riley, listen, I'm sorry I made an example of you. So here's a gift for you." Cory said and I smirked sitting back, crossing my arms over my chest
"Ooh-- No! I want to-- No! Pretty ribbon-- No!" Riley says
"I'll take my chances with that, sir."
Liam said and my smirk widen
"No, Liam. You have to assume it was no good because the first one was no good. Aren't you all proud of me, dad?" Riley asked
"No!" He exclaimed and I snorted
Liam reads the card "Get out of detention free." Maya turns to him
"Ooh, I could use one of those. Gimme that and I won't call you "Ranger Rick" all week." She said
"Here you go." Liam said handing her the card
"Thanks, Ranger Roy." Maya told him smiling
"Lemme guess. Ranger Roy is filling in for Ranger Rick?" Liam asked
"All week. And now... you." Maya said turning to Cory
"Oh, is something gonna happen to me?" Cory asked
"Yes, it is." She says and stands up and approaches his desk. "A d-d-d-d, a d-d-d-d" She stand on top of his desk "a d-d-d-detention. But not today. Boom!" She said smugly
"Read the card Maya.." I told her smirking
"Huh?" Maya said
"Card." Cory says smiling big
"Say 'get out of detention free' then give worthless card to Maya then watch her dance on my desk." She reads from the card and returned to her desk
"Never assume. Look more deeply. Just because something is wrapped up all pretty, doesn't always mean it is." Cory says and Maya turns to Liam
"You were in on this!" Maya said
"I'm Ranger Roy and I'll be here all week." Liam says tipping imaginary hat
She looked over at me and I said
"He said he was gonna get me some food. Free food is the best food." she shudders and turns away "Oh-ho-ho."
"You're sharing right?" Lucas asked hopefully
"You're lucky you're cute" I told him and he grinned at me

We were sitting on in audience and watched Farkle's debate. I was leaning on Lucas' chest with his arms around me.
"in conclusion, school uniforms reduce individuality which will be unnecessary in the real world when you're all working for me. Thank you. I am Farkle!" Farkle said on stage
"I don't understand debate." Riley said
"We say you do." Michelle, Maya, and I told her
"Okay." Riley said back
"I like debate-- exploring two sides of the same thing-- good and bad, light and dark, right in front of you at the same time. Where else are you gonna get that?" Liam asked making Lucas and I pointed at Maya who was glaring at him and Riley who was smiling at him. Michelle just started laughing.
"Oh, right here. Look at you." Liam said
"And now from Einstein academy," Cory reads the paper "undefeated this season, 72 pounds of raw intellectual power! She is who your mama wishes she gave birth to!" The one, the only... Smackle!"
My eyes widen as Smackle runs out, does some moves and walks toward Farkle
"You goin' down, chump."
"Wearing a uniform makes you surrender to conformity and sacrifices uniqueness, which is our most valuable freedom. Don't let anybody tell you what to wear. Don't let anybody tell you what to be. Smackle, the one and only, out." She says, finishing her speech
"Well, before I announce the winner, let me remind you all that our final debate of the season will be held right here next week, where our thought-provoking topic will be "Is beauty only skin deep?" Cory says and I noticed that Smackle makes a face then Cory receives the paper. "Great, thank you. So the winner of today's debate is..."Farkle stands and Cory pushes him to sit "Isadora Smackle, Einstein academy." Cory said and everyone claps
"It looks like our debate team could use some help." Riley said as we walked over to Farkle.
"Yeah, Smackle's definitely got game." Lucas said
"She beats Farkle every time. You think he's gotten used to it by now?" Riley asked
"Nope" I said while hugging Lucas who was leaving and gave him a kiss
Farkle lies down and groans "It hurts." He says from the floor.
"Nope. Good thing we're there for him. Being there for him is the most important thing we can be-" she cut herself off and looks at melon balls "Melon balls." "Ohh" Riley says as they went over to the table.
Michelle and I just looked at each other and face palmed.
Smackle kneels down beside Farkle and shakes his hand "Valiant effort as usual, my arch-nemesis. Perhaps a smoothie would take the sting out of my latest victory." She says to him. Michelle and I looked at each other with knowing smiles.
"Yeah. Perhaps you're right. I'll go see"he says and tries to get up but Smackle lies him down again.
"Smackle, you fool. You forgot how literal he is. Farkle, I meant would you like to get a smoothie with me?" She asked before getting standing up
Farkle stands up "Isadora, what part of "Arch-Nemesis" do you not understand?" He asked her
"Farkle, you might find this hard to believe, but I am a significant amount of fun. Would you like to see my fun face?" She asked him with a straight face
"That would be of interest to me. Proceed."
"I'm doing it!" She exclaimed making me laugh a little. Riley walked over
"Well, Farkle, good job being smart and everything." She told Farkle
"Thanks for coming, Riley. Sorry you had to see me lose again." Farkle said to her
"Wonderful debate, Farkle. A memory that will live with me right up until the next thing happens." She hugs Farkle and he walks away.
"Well, Smackle, good job being smart and everything." She says and turns away.
"I am sad." Smacked says robotically and Riley turns back
"What?" Riley asked
"Farkle and I are perfect for each other. Why does he prefer you?" She asked
" I don't know. If I knew, I'd stop." She said making me roll my eyes. Farkle is adorable.
"Well, there's nothing left to do now but get a smoothie all alone and continue this good cry I'm having." Smacked told her
"You're crying?" Riley asked confused
"Yes. A-wah A-wah." Smackle says while fake crying
"I don't think that's actually--" Riley gets cut off by Smackle
"A-wah A-wah..." Smackle "cries" louder, mumbling gibberish
"Look, I am going to ask you something really fast and then I'm going to regret it. You wanna come to my house?" Riley asked her shocking Michelle and I.
Riley turns to her left "Ooh."
"Yes, I would like to come to your house. There is much I can learn from you." Smackle tells Riley who tries to hug Smackle. Maya walks over with melon balls in her hand
"Oh, no! I already have a weird friend." Maya groans out
"She means me." Riley says as me and Michelle slowly sneaked towards the door to get out of this but Maya saw us
" no no no, you two get back here. If I have to suffer, so you do.." Maya called out it to us and we groans before walking over to them. Smackle looked at me
"Deja.. nice to see you again.." Smackle said making the girls look at me as I sighed
"Hi Smackle.." I said trying to get the attention off of me
"You guys know each other..?" Michelle asked with an eyebrow raised
"Yes. Deja was originally going to attend Einstein academy" Smackle told them as I just placed my head into my hand. They looked over at me shocked.
"Is this true Dee?" Maya asked and I nodded
"Yea.. but I decided not to go there." I told them.
"Why?" "That's a story for another time."

We were all in Riley's room with Smackle.
"Why do we have to be a part of your campaign to befriend every little woodland creature?" Maya asked
"Which woodland creature am I in your mind?" Smackle asked
"You're like a little gopher... chipmunk combo deal." Maya answered, making me laugh while Michelle smacked my arm softly while smiling.
"Maya, Smackle needs our help." Riley told her
"Yes. I need you to teach me the equation for beauty." Smackle told them and I already know that this was for the campaign.
"Why?" Maya asked
"Smackle loves Farkle." Riley tells her
"Why?"
"But he prefers you four to me because you're both aesthetically pleasing. I, on the other hand, am less aesthetically pleasing, but am superior in every other area. But I'm very much challenged by Deja" smackle said making me smile at her.
"Okay, so you want us to make you even more beautiful?" Michelle and I asked making Smackle look at us shocked before continuing.
"Yes...but I don't expect you to be able to change a trillion years of evolution in five seconds." Smackle says and
"Let me know when it's four seconds." Riley says
"Go." I said and we begin to immediately make over Smackle.
"I'm... pretty?" She asked in fake confusion and I just smirked.
"You're the hottest little gopher-chipmunk in the whole forest." Maya tells her
Riley gives Smackle a mirror to look at "Who's the genius now?"
Maya and Riley toss their hair back and say in unison "Stop it." They looked over at Michelle and I who didn't do whatever they just did.
" ohhh you wanted us to do that with you.." Michelle said while I shook my head
" it's you guys' thing, let's keep it that way." I told them and they frowned.
"But you guys are our friends too and we want you to do it with us.." Riley said and Maya glared at us
"Do it." She demands, Michelle and I sighed looking at each other before tossing our hair back saying "stop it" with them.
"Happy?" We asked Maya and Riley
"Very" they said
Smackle goes to Riley's mirror on the wall "My outward appearance now seems to represent the current trends agreeable to the general populace." She says in her regular voice
"Then why are you still talking like you don't know what you look like?" Michelle asked
"Ah, my speech. That's an easy fix." Smackle tells them
"I don't think so." Riley says
"Awesome, like, giggle, question, omigosh." Smackle said and we all looked at her confused
"Do you wanna lay that out again for us normals?" Maya asked confused as ever.
"Observations reveal that if I merely insert "awesome," "like," "omigosh," and giggle at everything like it's a question, I will assimilate into the general teenage population." Smackle informs them
Maya snickers "It's not that easy, Smackle."
"E=mc2" Smackle stated
"What did you do that for?" Maya asked
"Like "E" totally equals M.C.Squared! Omigosh, awesome!" Smackle giggles, saying in a girly voice. Maya and Riley looked like the world changed while Michelle was still confused....
I'm surrounded by idiots
"E=mc2" Maya said in a daze
"I understand the universe." Riley says
Maya and Riley mimic explosion while Michelle was rubbing her temples
"Thinking hurts.." she says and I just face palmed. Why are they my friends again?

We walked into the room where the debate team was held and I saw that Lucas and Liam was also there. Maya was wearing smackle's glasses, I had my glasses because I ran out of contacts. I hated wearing my glasses
"Ladies." Farkle says
"Farkle."
"Precious, why are you and Maya wearing glasses?" He asked pulling me into him by my waist
"I ran out of contacts and I had to wear this cursed things." I said
"You look cute in them" Lucas tells me
"Why are you wearing glasses Maya?" Liam said
"They're Smackle's. I'm just holding them for her... on my face." Maya told him
"We want to see if people will treat Maya differently now that she looks smart." Riley says and one of the boys from the debate walks over to Maya. Lucas looks down at me and I looked up at him confused
"What Luke?" I asked him
"Nothing, I'm just looking at you.." He said making me look down shyly
"Do I look bad in my glasses..?" I asked. Lucas lifted my head to make me look at him
"You look beautiful with or without your glasses. Don't ever think other wise okay?" He said sternly and I nodded. He kissed me softly, making me kiss back.
"Oy! Stop making out and Dee let's go!" Maya yells out and we pulled away and glared at Maya who smirked. I looked over at Michelle who was looking down, sadly.
"Uh Michelle and I have to go help David with something. We'll meet up with you guys" I told them. The girls nodded before walking out with Farkle. I walked over to Michelle and pulled her out in the hallway
"What's wrong Mich?" I asked her, placing my hand on her shoulder.
"I don't fit in the group Dej.." she tells me
" hey... it's always been like that. It was always Riley and Maya. When they added me, I always felt out of place. So I understand what you're feeling but I gotchu. We'll be our own pair. Michelle and Deja.. kicking some ass along with the world's" I told her making her laugh and I hugged her
"I gotchu okay?" I told her and she nodded
"Okay.. just know I still am sorry.." she said and I pulled away playfully glaring at her
" stop apologizing. I already said it was okay." I told her and she looked at me
"You're too nice" she said making me laugh
"Alright I'll try to be meaner." I told her and she smiled
"Good. Alright let's go" she said pulling me to the bakery

We walked into the bakery with the boys who said they wanted to go with us. Farkle looked over at me
"You knew didn't you?" Farkle asked and I smiled
"Of course I did, who do you take for? Them?" I said pointing at Maya and Riley making them look at me shocked.
"You knew!?" Maya asked and I nodded
"Yup! It was quite obvious.." I said to her
"And you didn't think to tell us?"
"No it would've ruin my entertainment" I grinned as she glared at me
"Hi, guys. Wow, Smackle, you look great." Liam said as I leaned against Michelle and Lucas stood behind us
Smackle giggles "Did that just come from me?" She asked and I smirked while Mich just laughed
"Smile at her." Farkle says and Liam smiles at her
"Omigosh. Omigosh, I just said "Omigosh." Like, awesome. Question?" Smackle was in a "panic"and I found it very amusing
"Are you okay, Smackle" Farkle asked smirking a little, his brain was working up a storm.
"I don't understand what's happening to me." Smackle said, this girl is too good of an actress
"Why don't you sit next to her, Liam" Liam sits next to Smackle
"No one that's ever looked like you has ever sat this close. Are you sitting here because you want to be my mate?" Smackle asked him. Mich and I started cracking up, we had to hold onto each other or we were going to fall.
"I'm sitting here because the seat was empty." Liam said uncomfortably, glaring at me and Michelle since wr were still laughing.
" You smell like pine trees." She told him
"Thank you. " He said
"Our feet are touching."
"You're doing that."
"Hmm, Smackle, would you mind telling me, what is the square root of 36?" Farkle asked and Smackle was gazing at Liam
" Who cares?" She told him and he grinned
"Excellent. Liam is on our debate team. Will that be a distraction to you?" He asked
"Should be, yeah." She said to him
"Good. Let's go. We've got a debate to prepare for." Farkle and Liam leave. Michelle and I finally caught our breath.
"that was hilarious" Michelle said wiping the tears that fell from her eye
"yes it was, I'm so glad I didn't miss that show. " I said holding my stomach
" What have you done to me? I'm broken. I'm pretty. I'm confused." Smackle asked us
"We can put you back." Riley told her
"Oh, I'm not goin' back! I'm not that confused." She said looking at her nails.
"Smackle that brain of yours is going to do damage to the world" I told her smiling and she smiled back, making Maya and Riley confused.

I was in my room, doing homework, I didn't feel like going Riley's so I just went home. I heard a knock at my door
"come in." I said not looking up from my homework. I heard my door open and then closed, so I looked up to see Lucas. I smiled
"Hey Luke, what are you doing here?" I asked him, getting up to hug him. He hugged me back and kissed my temple.
"I just came to check up on you." He said and we sat down on my bed
"I'm fine babe." I said and he looked at me with a straight face
"I don't believe you.. Precious you and Liam havent spoken since the night you told him that you and Maya are cool again.. And your mom.." he said and its true. Liam isn't actually happy that I forgave Maya, I tried talking to him but he won't listen to me. He just ignores me around the house. I shrugged before saying
"Its fine Luke, no need to stress your head about it. Liam will speak to me when he's ready. And my mom... Its my fault, I shouldn't have spoken to her that way.. I was just frustrated" I told him and he shook his head
"I'm your boyfriend, its my job to stress and care about you. And it's okay to be frustrated sometimes.. She said she wanted to be here again.. She still should try to be here with you. She gave up too easily. You know we haven't hung out just the two of us in a while..." He said looking at me
" I know and Its whatever, I'm not going to fight for her to stay. And I'm sorry we haven't hung out. I can sleepover at yours.. I haven't see your mom in a while.." I said and Lucas laughed
"she misses you.. and I'd love it if you slept over. But baby.. if you aren't okay, just talk to me. I'm here.. You don't have to hold it in anymore.." He said to me, rubbing his thumb against my cheek and I leaned against his hand. I looked into his eyes before leaning into him and kissed him. He kissed me back, wrapping his arm around my waist pulling me closer. I pecked his lips a few times before pulling away and laying my head on his chest.
" I love you Luke... so much.." I told him and he kissed my head
" I love you more Precious.." He says back softly
We just laid there in silence, enjoying each other's company..

I texted Farkle that I was going miss the debate. I just didn't feel like seeing Liam when he's mad at me right now. I was currently finishing up a song in Lucas's room.

"That song is amazing..." I looked up to see Liam nervously standing at the door. I cleared my throat and said
"Thanks.. what are you doing here? Shouldn't you be at the debate?" I asked him and he shook his head
"Lucas is filling in for me.. I wanted to talk to you.." he said sitting at the edge of Luke's bed
"Really? That's a first in the last few days.." I said and he flinched at the tone of my voice.
"Dee.. I'm sorry.. it wasn't that I was mad at you.. I was just scared that Riley and Maya were going to steal you away from me.." he said looking down and I started laughing making him look at me.
"W-why are you laughing?" He asked confused
"Because you're an idiot" I told him with a smile " Yeah maybe I forgave Maya but you'll never lose me Li.. we're forever.. brother and sister. They can't steal me away from you, and besides.. Mich and I have been feeling excluded in the group.. so you'll be seeing us a lot. Next time, just come and talk to me okay? I love you big bro.." I told him and he pulled me into a hug
"I love you too Lil sis" he said back and kissed the side of my head. We didn't even notice that Mich and Mama friar were at the door watching us smiling.
