No perspective.

Silence. Complete silence.

Hearts thumping rapidly in their chest.

"That can't be possible." Helena spoke not knowing how to act. She looked around the room for someone, just one person to say it's a sick joke.

The room stayed silent.

Helena's heart dropped and her breathing paced faster. She bounced her knee and stared at the wall. Her anxiety flying through the roof as she chanted.

Why?

She didn't what to feel. Slowly but surely, she felt that overwhelming numbness take over once again. Even so, this time she fought it.

They can't do this to us. Why did they do this to us? Roman thought as tears filled his green eyes. He glanced down to his knees as thoughts raced in his head.

Couldn't they not have killed themselves?

Why did they kill themselves?

Why did they get the easy escape?

Why was it harder for us?

They didn't stop. But, when did they really ever stop?

Theo just stared at the man in the corner who had a scowl across his face. He didn't know why or who he was. But that feeling rushing through his veins quickened. That anger. That rage. Theo didn't know how to control it. He clenched his fist tightly digging his nails into his skin. Ripping it open.

He wanted to scream he did not have any other brother. He wanted to leave this tight spaced room. He wanted to forget everything.

He felt his wrist being touched and stared down to see his younger brother holding his fist. He stroked it gently trying to relieve the anger.

Leo stroked his fist softly and pulled it open. He saw the torn skin inside his brother's hand and sighed sadly. He understood why he was angry. Leo knew how they felt as he felt the same but he hid it better. He would hide his feelings from people. However, don't let that fool you, because every night as he went back to sleep the 6-year-old let it out. He let out that rage. That discomfort. That sorrow.

Aside from the fact that today was different. Today he showed everyone those emotions. Not the way he wanted to.

He excused himself as he went to the door. He wanted to cry it out in the bathroom. That overwhelming feeling, the anxiety, he was so scared off started to crawl up to him. Yet he barely got to the door as it took over. Making him struggling to breathe. His poor legs felt weak underneath him and bailed out. His hands shook as he tried to grip the floor. The muffled shouting around in the background. His crystal tears fell out his green eyes and he gripped onto his jumper. He pushed himself up to go to the bathroom instantly regretted right after.

He blacked out.

Ace stayed in his spot as he watched the boy fall onto the ground. His siblings screaming in distress and worry as they tried to wake their brother. The crying echoing across the room in pain.

That satisfying pain he wanted to hear. The cries he wanted to hear.

He already knew Helena from the times he used to play with her when she was two. Still, he didn't care. He was just hurt.

It made him sick to the core. It was gut wrenching that his parents left him by himself at just the age 13 to look after his brothers. But now finding out that his parents had another family made him angry.

Jealous.

Betrayed.

Disgusted in them that he couldn't put into words. He disliked his new siblings already. He took them in so he wouldn't look bad. He was not going to provide from them. He'll let them figure it out but knows they'll fail at it.

They will fall deep. Deep into a world with hate he thought.

Presuming they had a fantastic life with parental love and support. He was so sure that they would fail at life without him. As if they weren't good enough for an isolated lifestyle.

He was wrong. Very wrong.

He didn't know that his new siblings were his parents' toys to play with. He never what happened in their life. He never knew the scars they hid. The front they always put on. He didn't know that they made themselves look happy. They made society believe they were a happy family.

But they were broken. Each and every one of them. From years of abuse, they were dead inside. The depression. The anxiety. The fear. The rage they all held. It was all still there yet their parents weren't alive. They still felt as if their parents would walk in and snatch them at any minute.

Ace didn't know how they felt behind their mask. He wouldn't anytime soon. After taking them, he'll live them to rot by themselves. He will never see them again. I will leave them outside their doorstep of their luxurious house.

But see that was the difference.

He lived happily in rich house.

They lived in an attic for nearly their whole life.

He lived in happiness.

They lived in fear.

He was given more than enough.

They were barely given enough.

And the list goes on. He should be grateful. In fact, he has to be grateful. He did not go through his parents' little schemes. Their little games. However, in the end, he isn't.

But he'll soon regret it when he finds out, when they all find out, in the near future it might just be too late.

-----

It was the day of the departure. The day they left their hometown. Their city for a new one. Just when they found their happiness, they got pulled back into sadness. It will always sneak up behind them for that stronger force. It would never leave them in peace.

It didn't want to.

It was like it has a mind of its own.

It was so intoxicating and pulled towards them. It couldn't be stopped. They had to defeat it. Kill it. It was the only way to really be free from its strong grasp.

Whether they liked it or not.

The 4 gazed up to their house, their home, for the last time. All the memories flashed before the eyes. The laughs, the cries, the nights where they stayed up for talks, talked about their futures and dreams were made in that house. Now they had to leave it.

Why couldn't they have stayed alive? We were happy. Theo thought his eyes tearing up.

Helena looked over to her heartbroken brothers wishing she could've done something to stop it. She never meant for them to feel this way, she wanted them to feel carefree. She wished for them to be beaming with overloading joy.

Seeing them like that killed her over and over again. Like continuous stabbing to the gut. She looked down to see that knife but wasn't there. The stabs got harder and more unbearable. She turned away from her brothers.

It's all my fault she thought.

She felt a sudden touch on her shoulder causing her to jump. She pivoted her head slightly only to Sharon smiling at her. She wrapped her arms around her tightly not wanting to let go.

"If you don't like it there or they don't treat you well, here's my keys to my house in California I told you about. Move into there with your brothers, okay?" Sharon whispered in her ear. She was always the mother figure in their life. She cared for them all the time and showered them with love or care. Helena nodded quickly.

"Hurry up! We have a time limit." Ace shouted from inside the car. Roman noticed that small hint of annoyance in tone. He looked at Helena and saw her rolling her eyes at Ace. Sharon passed her the keys and gave her farewell. They leapt into the car and Ace drove off.

"Listen here pricks, if you speak to me or each other, there's going to be trouble. Understood?" Ace threatened. His eyes pierced into theirs glaring.

"What the hell?! Who the fuck do you think you are?" Helena snapped.

"Your fucking nightmares." he sneered. They froze as they heard those familiar words they feared so much.

What did we get ourselves into?
