I just got back from having lunch with my mom.. Scratch that, I just got back from waiting for my mom for three hours. I don't know why I thought things would've been different. When I walked into the Carter's apartment, I saw Liam, David, and a girl I never seen before. Liam ran over and gave me a hug
"Lil sis! How was lunch with your mom?" He asked letting me go as David came over and gave me one too.
" I went for no reason.. But I'll tell you guys later. Whose this?" I asked nicely because I don't know her and I wasn't about to be rude to someone I didn't know.
"This is my cousin Michelle, Michelle this is Deja. We're letting her stay with us for a while." Liam said and Michelle just looked at me up and down. I calmed myself down because one, this isn't my house so I can't acted outta pocket. And two, I'm not finna go to jail... yet
"Nice to meet you." I told her and she just rolled her eyes at me. I clenched my hand into a fist before taking a deep breath and releasing it.
"Michelle cut it out, Deja didn't do anything to you. Get your shit together or you can go back to your parents' house. Am I clear?" David asked glaring at her
"Yes Uncle David, Crystal" she said
" now since Deja took the only empty room, you guys are going to have to share." David said and I just internally groaned.
"David you know I could just move back into my mom's apartment-" I started to say but I got cut off.
"No Deja, we love having you here with us.." Liam said with pleading eyes.
"Not all of us.." Michelle mumbled under her breath but we all heard her.
"Michelle I don't know what your problem is with Deja, but stop your bullshit right now because I'm starting to get pissed." Liam said and I placed my hand on his shoulder.
"Li... It's fine.. I handled worse.. It's okay calm down. You don't want a repeat of what happened last time.." I told him softly
"Ah bullied in your life?" Michelle asked smugly while David and Liam froze. I just looked at her blankly
"Yes I was but I don't know how that concerns you. You don't know anything about me or what I been through so I would suggest you keep your mouth shut or those slick comment you've been mumbling under your breath will get you in trouble with me. I'm very much about that life as you are not. So stay in your lane and I'll stay in mine." I told her and then I turned to David
"I'm just going to sleep in Liam's room for the time being." I told him and he shook his head.
"No Deja, I don't think you deserve to be kick out of your room." He said before turning to Michelle
"You're sleeping on the couch" he told her and she looked at him shocked.
"What?! Why!?" She asked him
"Because you still can't seem to get your act together. You've been nothing but rude to Deja since she got here. You're not the only one in the world who has a rough life. Deja is staying here because of issues and problems in her life. Why would she deserve to offer her room to someone whose been disrespectful to her? When you get your shit together , you can start sleeping in my room and I'll take the couch. Leave Deja alone or I won't be responsible for what she does to you." David told her and she just glared at me. I sighed, lord please help me have the strength to be around this girl because one wrong word.. and she might lose all the teeth in her mouth. And that wasn't a threat.. that was a promise.

I just laying down with Liam in my room as we were on the phone with Lucas.
"I'm surprised Deja didn't pop her in her mouth." Liam said making Lucas and I laugh
" I'm just going to give her the benefit of the doubt before I put her in her place." I said
"Was it really that bad?" Lucas asked on speaker phone.
"Yes it was.. she thought It was funny that Deja got bullied.." Liam told him and it was silent on the phone.
"Lucas.. chill out man.." Liam told him
"Babe.. it's okay.. I didn't really care. It didn't faze me" I said to him and we heard him take a deep breath before saying
"Why is she acting like this? She was never this way in Texas when we were younger.." Lucas said
"I don't know.." Liam said and when I was about to say something, my door opened and guess who it was.. Michelle
"Michelle you can't just walk into a room without knocking." Liam told her and she just ignored him looking at me. I groaned.
"What do you want Michelle ?" I asked her not wanting to see her face for longer than three seconds.
"I just want to know what's so great about you. I mean I don't see much.." she said and I stopped Liam who was about to get up. I got off my bed and stood in front of her.
"I mean I agree with you, I don't know what's so great about me either. But at least I'm not a bitter jealous little girl whose blaming everything on the world instead opening their eyes to reality. Everyone has been through something and some might have it worse than you. You don't know everyone's story so instead seeing as your pain and problems are bigger than everyone's else, how about you try to get to know someone first? And then they'll tell you their story." I said to her and she just glared.
" you don't know anything about pain! My parents were always fighting to the point where they got a divorce. And then it turned out that my mom was gay the whole time. And then she got a girlfriend and totally forgot that she had a daughter. My father wants nothing to do with me! You think you have harder than I do?" She yelled while Liam just shook his head at her.
"Michelle you fucked up.." he told her while looking at me. I just stared at her
"What do you mean I fucked up? Everything I said was true. She doesn't know anything about pain like I do!" She exclaimed and I just continued to stare at her. You see, I can tell why she's the way she is but I'm gonna make her feel like shit in 0.5 seconds because she needs a reality check asap. no rocky.

"At the age of 5, my father became abusive towards me. My own mother didn't believe me because my father was "too much of a good man" to do that to his own child. I was physically and verbally abused until I was 10. One day, my father beat me far worse than the other times he had. He was planning on killing me that day. Thank God my mom was coming from work early and she heard my screams from my bedroom and ran inside to see my dad beating me to nearly to death. She pushed him off and punched him to knock him out. She called the police and he was put in jail for life. Then I just started middle school and I was bullied every single day. All of the teachers knew about it but didn't care enough to stop it. It was when a group of girls decided it was be a great idea to jump me but I fought back and won. Then from that day forward, I had to fight everyday just make my place at that school. And you might be wondering where my mom was and why didn't I tell her? She was too busy to take care of her daughter so I was alone. She finally found out when a girl who was fighting me had gotten really injured and parents were called. She found out and had me move here. Now I suffer with panic attack and nightmares. And I have anger problems. Now it's obviously that I went through some tough shit in my life but not once have I ever thought you had it easier than me because I. Don't. Know. You. So why would I assume that you had it better than me if I don't know you." I finished telling her as she had tears running down her face. Liam stood up and hugged me, I hugged him back.

"Li.. I'm gonna go for a walk, I'll be back okay?" I told him and he looked at me worried
"Do you want me to come with you?" He asked and I smiled at him
"I'm okay, ima leave my phone here. Tell Lucas I'll text him later" I said before walking out. Michelle tried to talk to me but I was brushed her off and left the apartment.

I was walking around when I ended up at Maya's apartment building. I just stared at it before walking away. I didn't know that Maya was outside her window and she saw me.
"Dee!! Deja! Wait up!!" I heard behind me and when I turned, I saw Maya running towards me. She stopped in front of me
"What do you want Maya?" I asked her.. I couldn't lie and say I didn't miss her and Riley but what she said hurt me.. And Riley didn't even care enough to defend me.
"I'm sorry! I didn't mean at all. It just came out and I just hurt that my mom didn't want to come to career day and I thought she didn't love me but I realized that she was working hard just for me and my welling being. I miss you so much and I'm really sorry. You don't have to forgive me and I'll wait until you do.." She said on the verge of crying. I sighed before hugging her.
"You really hurt me May.." I told her as she hugged me back.
"I know and I'm sorry.." she said softly
"We're okay but you'll have to work in order for me to forgive and trust you again." I told her and she nodded
"Okay, I will.. I love you Dee.." she whispered while we still hugging.
"I love you too May.." I whispered back before we pulled away from each other.
"You wanna come over and we can catch up?" She asked and I smiled while nodding. We went up to her apartment when I saw mama hart in the kitchen. I ran over and gave her a hug. She jumped before turning to see It was me and she smiled, hugging me back.
"Miss Deja, it's been a while.." she said smiling at me.
"It has mama Hart, how have you been?" I asked her
"I've been good, Maya and I finally sat down and talked.. about everything.." she said and I looked over at Maya who nodded.
"That's good, I'm glad everything worked itself out." I told her smiling
"Are you staying for dinner?" She asked
" please Dee.." Maya pleaded
"Oh fine what are you making tonight?" I asked
"Chicken parm with garlic bread."
"Need any help?" I asked her and she smiled as I went to help her out.

David walked into his apartment after a day of work to see Michelle crying on the couch with Liam scolding her.
"What is going on here?" He asked his son and niece.
Liam just glared at Michelle "why don't you ask her? Since she never listens to people when they tell her what to do and what not to do." Liam told his dad
"What did you do and where's Deja?" David asked.
Michelle was hysterical, she couldn't even speak since she was crying and breathing heavily.
"Fine I'll tell you, she came in Deja's room, talking about how she didn't know what was so great about Deja. And Deja put her in her place by calling her bitter and saying that she couldn't only be thinking about her own pain. And she preceded to say that Deja doesn't know about pain and Deja told her about her life. Then Deja left to cool off, but it's been hours. We don't know where she is. She left her phone here." Liam told his dad and David glared down at Michelle
"The hell were you thinking Michelle!? I specifically told you to leave her alone! Look at what you did!! Everything that happened is your fault anyways! You never gave your mother and her girlfriend the chance, you just ignored her. And your father, he's been trying to call you but you don't want to answer! You wouldn't be going through all of this if you would stop thinking about yourself and grow the hell up!" David told her before pulling out his phone, calling Topanga.
"Hey Topanga, it's David.. Deja is missing."

Deja and the Harts were at the table, eating and laughing together. Maya's phone started beeping along with Katy's phone.
"Um.. Deja..?" Maya asked while looking at her phone.
"Yeah?" She answered while putting a spoon in her mouth
"Why did I get 100 messages from everyone saying that you're missing?" She asked, making Deja choke on her food.
"Um what?" Deja asked after getting some water
"Topanga just texted me saying that someone named David said that you're missing" Katy said making her eyes widen.
"Oh shoot! David has been letting me stay at his and his niece came today, acting like she knew me giving me attitude . So I put her in her place and I left without my phone." Deja told them
"Well let's go let them know that you're fine" Katy said and they all left to David's apartment.

The Matthews', Asia, Lucas, Liam, Michelle, and David were in the living room.
"How could you let her leave!?" Asia yelled out David and Liam who glared at her
"Listen lady I already don't like you so don't make it worse. For one, when Deja says that she wants to be alone, you have to let her be or she'll stay away longer. Obviously you wouldn't know that since you've been gone" Liam said bluntly making everyone's eyes widen
"Liam..." Lucas says warning him to calm down but he doesn't listen.
"And besides, you shouldn't be blaming me. You should be blaming the blabber mouth over here, she was the one that provoked her. Instead you should be blame her and yourself. If you were here in the first place, none of this would've happened. I mean you didn't even meet up with Deja today for lunch, you had her waiting for hours. You never cared." Liam told her shrugging.
"Listen here-" Asia started but was cut off by David
"Watch yourself Asia, wouldn't want to give Deja another reason to not forgive you" David said
"Too late" Deja said at the door with Maya and Katy making all of them look over at her.
"DEJA!!!" Everyone yelled out and Lucas ran over and hugged her tightly.
"You made me worried Precious.." Lucas whispered in her ear and she hugged him back
"I'm sorry, I was at Maya's place" she whispered back and he pulled away, a little shocked
"You forgave her..?" Lucas asked
"No..Luke.. just trust me on this okay?" Deja pleaded to him. He sighed before kissing her forehead
"Okay.. but I don't think Liam is going to like it.." Lucas said as Deja got tackled by said person.
"Oof!" Deja said as she hit the ground with Liam on her. They stood up
"Do you know how worried I was Young Lady?" Liam asked
"I'm very sorry father" She said sarcastically
"You're grounded" Liam said and she looked at him shocked
"But why?!" Deja asked fake whining as everyone one else looked at them amused.
"Do you know what time it is young lady? And on a school night at that! I better have that phone of yours on my bed before you go to sleep." Liam said with his hands on his hips with amusement in his eyes
"Okay dad, I sincerely apologize" She said and it was silent before they both started laughing.
"But in seriousness, don't make me worry like that Dee.." Liam told her and she looked at him sadly
"Aww Li don't be sad, I'm sorry" she says, hugging him.
"By the way, I spoke Maya and we're somewhat cool. Bye love you" she said quickly pulling away and walking towards the Matthews
"Wait what?!" Liam exclaimed while she was walking away.
"Do I get a hug too?" Auggie asked and she smiled before hugging him
"Of course you do Augs. You know you're my favorite Matthews." She said on purpose as the others protest
"Hey!" They yelled out
She laughed before giving them hugs and she went over to her mom and David. She hugged David
"I'm sorry David, I didn't mean to make you worried.."
"Deja.. I'm always going to be worried about you. I care about you, just next time please notify someone where you're going somewhere okay?" He said to her and she nodded before pulling away.
"Deja Precious Walker! Do you know how worried I was!?" Asia screamed at her daughter while Deja just stared at her blankly.
"I don't know why you're worried, I mean you use to not seeing me so.." Deja told her making everyone stiff
"I'm not trying not to be rude or anything, I'm just stating facts. Where were you earlier? We were suppose to meet for lunch. You didn't care enough to call or text to tell me you weren't coming. You shouldn't be worried about me when you never were a day in my life." Deja shrugged while Asia looked at her shocked before running out of the apartment.
"Anyways.. I'm sorry for scaring you guys, I was with Maya and her mom.." She said making looking at them shocked.
"You guys are good?" Riley asked
"Not all the way but we're getting there." Deja said smiling at Maya who smiled back. David pushed Michelle towards Deja
"Do it. Now." David told her sternly
"I'm sorry for what I said.. I was blinded by my anger with what was going on in my life. You didn't deserve what I did to you. I hope you can forgive me.." Michelle said looking down.
"Let's talk outside." Deja told her before heading out the door with Michelle following her. They sat on the steps outside the apartments.
"Mich you seem like a cool person but you can't let what happened in your life stop you from being happy. I know it's hard but you can at least try." Deja told her
"I'm sorry for what you went through but if you let the anger get into your head, it won't be good for you." She added
"I'm sorry.." She said and Deja just smiled
"It's okay.. Come on, let's head inside before everyone thinks that I killed you or something." She said making Michelle laugh. They headed inside to see everyone took a breath of relief before passing Lucas some money. Deja gave Michelle a look
"See? I told you." Michelle stifled her laugh
"We thought you killed her and dumped her body in a dumpster." Liam said making Deja shake her head at him. She walked over to Maya and Riley with Michelle behind her.
"So.. we're usually a trio but it wouldn't hurt to add another member.." Riley said making Deja and Maya look at her surprised.
"You guys want to add me into the group..?" Michelle asked surprised
"Yeah why not? Just a heads up, we have a friend named Farkle and he might make you one of his wives" Deja warned her
"Farkle?..." Michelle asked with her head titled.
The adults plus Liam, Lucas, and Auggie watched as the new group four talk and laugh together.
"Huh... didn't see that coming.." Liam said
"I guess she just need a couple of good friends" David said smiling at the sight of Michelle smiling and laughing. He hadn't seen her like this in a while.
"That's the only way to live.. is with your friends by your side." Cory said smiling.
