Selena walked into the kitchen to see Elena, Damon and Stefan talking causing her to frown in confusion, she knew she was ignoring them for the past few day, she just found it weird
"Why are you all looking at me like that?" She asked them as she motioned for Damon to pass her the plate of cookies and he obliged
"So what is it?" She asked as she took a sip from her coffe "Why are you all so pouty this morning?"
"What happened at Klaus'?" Damon asked her and she scoffed "They didn't hurt you... did they?"
"No they didn't" she stated "Rebekah is my friend so is Elijah... Plus Klaus would never let them hurt me"
"He's the bad guy, Selena" Elena said and the younger sister sighed in frustration
"Look can we not talk about him? I can't keep having this conversation everytime" she said coldly and her sister scoffed in disbelief
"He's bad news, Selena why can't you get that?" Elena asked angrily and the younger sister glared at her
"You don't get to lecture me about bad guys, Elena do you understand?" Selena snapped back as they heard a bell ring causing them to share a look before answering it
They saw two letters one with Elena's name and the other one with Selena's but there was a large box with it causing her to frown in confusion
"What the-" she began as she sat the box on the kitchen's table
"It's an invitation" Elena said as she read it "Please join the Mikaelson this evening at 7 o clock for dancing, cocktails and celebration"
"Well that was one hell of an invitation" Selena said sarcastically "There's one for Aunt Jenna too"
"Who the hell are the Mikaelsons?" Stefan asked and Selena looked at him in disbelief
"The Original family, dumbass" she said with a duh tone "Honestly am I the only smart one in this family?"
"It'a not bad enough they're moving into town. Now they want a housewarming gift?" Damon rolled his eyes and Selena chuckled
"Wait there's a note on the back" Elena observed "Elena I think it's time we finally meet, Esther"
"What about yours?" Stefan asked the Enchantress and she sighed in defeat
"Save me a dance, fondly Klaus" she read quietly but he and Stefan were able to hear her
"What about me?" Damon pouted and she chuckled nervously "I've been trying before him"
"Could you two please stop" Stefan snapped coldly at them and they both rolled their eyes
"Aren't you going to open the box?" Elena asked her and she shook her head
"Later" she said as she held up the box and Damon took it from her
"You're not going" he said firmly and she chuckled as she approached him seductively and stood on her tip toe surprising everyone including him. She leaned forward as like she was about to kiss him causing him to tense
"I don't take orders from you" she whispered with a small smile taking back her box
"See you later losers"

"You went after Elena. What is wrong with you?" Klaus stormed inside the living room, scolding his sister
"Here we go" Rebekah muttered in annoyance
"Do you want another dagger in your heart?" He asked her with a menacing tone
"Again with the dagger threats brother?" Kol asked tauntingly pushing his buttons "Don't you have any others tricks? Or is it because our little Enchantress been ignoring you and refuses to talk to you?"
"Oh! Go back to staring at yourself" Klaus sneered with annoyance causing Kol to roll his eyes
"And who are you? My father?"
"No Kol but you are in my house!" The Original hybrid growled turning to face his younger brother
"Then perhaps we should go outside" Kol challenged him causing the hybrid to step more closer to him
"Enough!" Esther stepped outside the room stopping them "Niklaus come"
"Rebekah wasn't even out of her box a day before she tried to ruin my life. What happened to peace, acceptance, family?" He asked his mother with vulnerable look
"You put daggers in their hearts" Esther stated trying to justify his siblings actions "You want them to go down on their knees and kiss your feet for reuniting them?"
"So it's a crime to want our family to be as we were?"
"You need to give it time, Niklaus. I've had a thousand years on the other side to be angry and to heal. I'm here to make sure this family does the same" She stated and he frowned
"I just don't understand. I killed you and you still forgive me"
"It's been my dream for a thousand years that this family could be as one. Forgiveness is not a chore is a gift.... Now, who are you bringing to the ball this evening? Is it Selena?" She asked him and he smiled thoughtfully thinking about her
"Don't be ridiculous, you're lucky I'm even going" he said thinking of how Selena had been avoiding his calls
"I wish you'd reconsider, it's going to be a magical evening"

Selena was staring at the box for two hours not daring to open it. She paced around the room nervously and Jenna entered with a smile snapping her out of her thoughts
"You got the invitation too?" Selena asked her aunt and she nodded
"Yeah" she showed her the invitation "You're going?"
"Haven't decided yet" she sighed as she sat down looking at the box once again
"Let me guess, Klaus sent this?" She asked her niece who nodded "Open it"
"Okay" she said and took a deep breath. She opened the box to see a beautiful blue dress, her face twisted in awe and adoration as her and Jenna gasped quietly
"Wow" Jenna muttered as Selena quickly closed the box and sat down
"I changed my mind. I'm not going" she said and Jenna looked at her in disbelief "We... kissed"
"Oh my- When?"
"Birthday night. Technically I kissed him but then he kissed me back, it was mutual... I just couldn't help myself" she said and Jenna chuckled "It's just... it's weird I don't know. I feel something for him I'm not gonna deny that and it's amazing but it's painful too"
"Because it's real" Jenna stated and Selena smiled sadly remembering Lexi
"You just reminded me of someone" she chuckled nervously "She once said when it's real you can't walk away... she was right"
"Yeah she was" Jenna nodded "You know I saw the way he look at you and I saw the look on your face when you talk about him... What's holding you back? You clearly want to be with each other"
"It's not that simple... I don't date, I don't know how to date and I don't even know why he likes me" Selena said with a disbelieved scoff "And he's gonna get bored of me in the first week because that's what all boys do... I don't know, I just don't think we're a good match"
"Because you don't know what do you feel exactly, because you're afraid he doesn't feel the same way... if this is not love then what is it?" the strawberry blonde said and Selena sighed "You know you're gonna get your ass up and dress up for the ball. Tonight you're not going to ignore those feelings... or I'll call Caroline"

After she did her make up and got everything done she stared at her wardrobe looking for another dress "There must be something else" she murmured as she desperately searched
"You have to wear the dress Klaus got you" Caroline said and Selena jumped slightly
"Jesus Caroline!" She exclaimed "Make some noise, you scared the hell out of me!"
"Hurry up!" The blonde urged and Selena rolled her eyes "Can I ask you something?"
"Shoot"
"What are you afraid of?" She asked and Selena frowned in confusion "I meant Klaus what are you afraid of? You clearly falling for him and he's falling for you... are you scared that he would leave just like-"
"Don't mention his name" she warned and the nlonde sighed in frustration
"Theo is waiting for us" Caroline said "You know you can't wear your Miss Mystic dress"
"I hate you and I hate Klaus and I hate Theo and I hate everyone" she groaned loudly and the blonde laughed
Selena, Caroline and Theo atood in front of The Mikaelson mansion and she looked at them anxiously "I'm gonna pass out" she breathed out and they chuckled
"I'm serious. I wanna go back and eat my cookies please" she pleaded and they both dragged her inside "That's Illegal. I want go back"
They entered the ball as she spotted Klaus was talking to someone, she looked at her brother with pleading eyes
"Theo please" she pleaded and he shook his head
"If I'm doing this. So are you baby sis" he spoke firmly and she pouted "Plus you look gorgeous... both of you"
"Oh thank you" Selena smiled as Caroline blushed "Where's Damon. I don't want to third wheel you"
"Leenie!" Caroline scolded and she huffed "Stop"
Klaus' eyes fell on the brunette beauty who was smiling, his jaw dropped in both adoration and surprise. Her long hair was dangling down her back, she looked so beautiful wearing the dress, he was mesmerized by her and only her. No one made him feel this way in a thousand years. His breath hitched when she looked at him and smiled
Selena literally forgot how to breath when she saw him in a tuxedo. He looked handsome she was hypnotized by him and that drove her crazy but however their moment was interrupted when Kol stood in front of her
"And I was wondering when you'd show" He said with a seductive smile causing her to chuckle
"Oh my God Kol! Stop I'm your brother's soulmate" she said teasingly and he laughed "You should try to flirt with someone else"
"Well you could be" he teased and she smiled looking away "I'm kidding"
"I know" she said "You managed pretty well"
"Well you look exquisitely beautiful"
"Thank you. You just made my day" she said dramatically and he laughed as Klaus joined them with a scowl
"Good evening" he said glaring harshly at Kol
"See you later, Twinkle" he said and she smiled at him before he left
"I see you met Kol" he said with unreadable eyes causing her to scoff
"Well he's nice" she stated as he looked at her straight in the eyes causing her to blush as he kissed the back of her hand
"I need a drink" she said and walked away quickly causing to sigh as he looked at her making her way to the bar looking for her brother and bestfriend
"She'll come around" Elijah spoke up behind him causing him to nod weakly
"Leenie" Damon called and she sighed before she turned around with a fake smile
"To what do I the pleasure Mr. Salvatore?" She asked him sarcastically and he rolled his eyes
"What are you doing here?" He asked and she chuckled bitterly
"What are you doing here?" She asked him and he glared at her before smiling
"I hate you" he said and she rolled her eyes playfully
"You love me" she stated and he nodded
"You look beautiful" he said and she gave him a small twirl "I have to admit he has a taste"
"Oh please I'm the one whose making this dress look beautiful" she smugly spoke and he offered his arm as she flickered her hair over her shoulder and took it
Klaus and Rebekah were talking but he wasn't paying attention to her as he was looking at his soulmate and the vampire with clenched jaw
"Nik are you listening?" She asked and him and he looked at her and hummed "Nothing is going between them"
"You don't know that" he said with a monotonous tone and she sighed
"I know that and they're just bestfriend who-" she began and decided to keep her mouth shut
"Who what?" He asked and she shrugged
"Nothing"
"Rebekah" he growled
"I said nothing!" She snapped and walked away from him

"If everyone could gather please" Elijah's voice spoke, capturing everyone's attention
"Welcome, thank you for joining us" he continued and Selena's eyes moved to Klaus who was staring at her. She gave him a small smile and moved her eyes towards Kol to hide her blush and then at his mother who never took her eyes off her
"You know whenever my mother brings our family together like this, it's tradition for us to commence the evening with a dance. Tonight's pick is centuries old waltz, so if all of you could find yourselves a partner, please join us in the ballroom" Elijah said and she turned to see Damon took Elena's hand
"Dance with Caroline" She told her brother with a smile
"What about you?" He asked and she smiled assuringly
"Go. I'll be fine. I promise"
"Do you want to dance?" Stefan approached her and she glared at him harshly
"You tried to kill me" she faked a smile "So no I don't want to dance with you"
"He's going to ruin you" He said referring to Klaus and she remained silent, she was in no mood to argue with him
"Selena" Klaus called from behind and she quickly turned around "Mind if I cut in?"
"No" she told him "I was about to leave anyway"
She took his hand and lead her towards the ballroom where the dance was about to begin. The two soulmates lined up, as they took the few first steps slowly when the music began to play

"I couldn't stay home alone. Aunt Jenna and Caroline forced me" she gave him a short tight-lipped smile
"I heard about your brother" he said and she glared at him

"Very well. On to more mannered subject then, like how ravishing you look in that dress" he complimented and she scoffed in amusement
"Like I said. I was forced to come here which mean I didn't have time to shop" she told him ignoring his gazes
"And the bracelet I gifted you? What's your excuse for wearing that?" He asked with a taunting smirk and she avoided his question still looking away in attempt to avoid his hot gazes
"Selena?" He called and she looked at his eyes "Why are you avoiding me?"
"Me? No I'm not avoiding you" she said looking away "Why would I?"
"You're quiet the dancer, little wolf" he huskily said and she smiled proudly
"Well, I've had training. I happen to be Co Miss Mystic falls" she said cockily
"I know" he stated and she looked at him in surprise. Her heart start beating fast before he twirled her into somebody else's arms
"Twinkle" Kol greeted and she giggled
"Oh" she spoke "My favourite Mikaelson"
"My brother is taken by you" he said as they danced and she blushed
"You're an Enchantress right?" He asked and she smiled at him "Nik told me you're a powerful one"
"Yeah I am" she stated and he frowned
"Don't want to sound rude but you're adopted right?"
"Yeah my birth name isn't Selena Gilbert. Is Ember Gray" she explained and he gasped quietly
"You're a Gray Enchantress" he asked in disbelief "Wow"
"I guess... I am" she said awkwardly "What about them?"
"The Gray Enchantress have so many people trying to kill them" he said and she stared at him fearfully and then nodded "Be careful, Twinkle"
"I will"

"You like horses?" Klaus's voice asked from behind as he approached her and she chuckled quietly
"Yeah... I used to ride when I was a child" She asked softly "With my parents before I left to England"
"You know horses are the opposite of people. They're loyal, my father hunted me for a thousand years and the closest he ever came was the day he killed my favourite horse. He... he severed it's neck with a sword as a warning" he told her and she looked at him with a sad expression
"Well. Your dad was an arse" she pointed out and he chuckled "What? I'm serious, he's awful and cruel"
"He was" he muttered quietly and she nodded in agreement
"Why did you invite me here?"
"I fancy you" he said and she
looked at him with widened eyes. She knew Klaus took a liking towards her and he showed it and he even admitted it but she didn't know why it surprised her again
"Is that so hard to believe?" He asked and she remained silent
"You're beautiful, strong, brave, clever and so full of light. I enjoy you" he said admirably and she smiled blushing
"Yeah well..." She muttered nervously "I- I must go. I'll be inside"
"Selena" he called and she quickly walked past him causing him to sigh in frustration. She stepped inside the house and took a deep breath, she the mixed feelings she had but one thing for sure that she was falling for him hard day by day

"Did you brought what I asked for?" Esther asked Elena and she nodded
"Yes this is her necklace, it used to belong to her ancestors but it's hers now." Elena explained "You're going to break the bond right? You're going to save her"
"Yes" The Original witch lied with a small smile "I will save her, she's too innocent for him... I will break the bond"
"Okay" Elena nodded she only wanted to save her sister, she reminded herself

A clicking of glass was heard and they all turned their attention at the stairs to see The Original witch with a glass of champagne in her hand
"Good evening ladies and gentlemen. Waiters are coming round with champagne. I invite you all to join me in raising a glass. It provides me with no greater joy then to see my family together as one. I'd like to thank you all for being part of this spectacular evening. Cheers" Esther finished her speech as she raised her glass and the crowd joined her
Selena stared at Esther for a moment before turning to Klaus who raised his glass at her, she looked back at the Original witch once again to see her waiting for her to drink
"Nik, don't dri-" She began and turned to see he was already drinking
"What is it?" He asked her
"Nothing" she said and put down the glass with a small smile
"Come on. I want to show you something" he told her and she nodded following him
"So what is that you wanted to show me?" She asked him as she followed him to his art room
Her eyes widened open when she saw all the paintings and drawings, she smiled at him and looked back
"Wow! Let me guess. The curators at the Louvre aren't on vervain" she teased and he chuckled nervously
"Yeah. Well that's their mistakes"
"What about this bracelet?" She raised her hand showing him the bracelet
"Well, that's a long story. But rest assured it was worn by a princess almost beautiful as you" he said and she blushed deeply as she chuckled
"Well yeah but just to be clear... I'm too smart to be seduced by you" she told him confidently and and he smiled proudly
"Well that's why I like you" he said and she moved her gaze to one of his drawings
"Wow this is amazing!" She squealed as she held up one of the drawings causing him to blush
"Yeah... um. Actually one of my landscapes is hanging at the Hermitage. Not that anyone would notice" The Original hybrid smiled in embarrassment "Have you been?"
"No just the time when Stefan, you and I left town looking for werewolves or me leaving to a boarding school in England... Except for that I've never really been anywhere" she revealed still looking at his paintings admirably
"I'll take you..." he said and she looked at him in shock "Wherever you want... Rome? Paris? Tokyo?"
She chuckled bitterly causing him to frown in confusion "What is it?"
"Is that why you collect hybrids? A little army of servants to arm you and bring you things?" She asked as she moved her gaze back to the painting "I mean that's cool right?"
"You're making assumptions" he pointed out with a sad tone
"Really?" She asked challenging him and he scoweled in annoyance "I guess I'll never know"
"You know this has been a fun evening, but I think it's time for you to leave" He told her causing her to laugh humourlessly
"I get it. Your father didn't love you so you assume no else will either. And that's why you compel people or sire them or try to buy them off" she said as she took off the bracelet and threw it on the table "But that's not how it works. You don't connect with people because you don't even try to understand them. But I'm not just anyone, you want my respect? Earn it"
she finished and turned and start walking away but he stopped her causing her to sigh
"Yes. I don't connect with people because they will leave you or betray you" he told her with icy glare
"So you just make them fear you. So they can't betray or leave you?" She asked with a frown "Nik, I'm trying to give you a chance but everytime I do... you just keep pushing me away by hurting the people that I love"
"Because you will leave" he retorted and she gasped
"How do you know that?"
"Because you'll realise how much of a monster I am and leave... I know you will so I'm saving myself from the distress and sorrow" he said and she looked at him in disbelief "They always leave"
"Seriously? How would you know that if you don't give it a chance?" She inquired and he looked away "I'm scared too you know?"
"Nik... people will stab in the back, betray you, disappoint you and leave you but there's people who will always stand by you, love you, cherish you, be loyal to you till the end of the road but you have to let them in... just give it a chance. They may surprise you" she finished and turned to walk away
"I love you" he admitted and she froze in her spot as he walked towards her and his hand caught her arm and spun her around.
"You're not going to say something?" He asked and she stared at him not knowing what to say, when she looked into his eyes, she could see he was angry, disappointed and hurt
All of sudden a loud voice was heard outside causing them both to ran out only to see Damon was on top of Kol as he snapped his neck
"Damon!" She shouted and he looked at her as Stefan ran towards them
"Are you crazy?" He asked him
"Maybe a little" he said and looked at Elena "Far be it for me to cause a problem"
Selena looked at Elena causing her to look away as tehy both watched Damon leave. The younger sister looked at Stefan
"Come on Elena, we're going home" she told her sister and looked at Esther
"I apologise on his behalf, Ms. Mikaelson" she told the Original witch who smiled at her wadmly
"It's okay, dear"

Selena walked in the kitchen when Elena and Stefan were done talking to see Jenna just entered the house "Oh hey!" She smiled at her
"Hey!" Selena smiled back "Did you have fun?"
"Yeah, the night was beautiful" Jenna said as she handed her a velvet box causing her to frown
"What's this?" She asked her in confusion "Where did you get it?"
"Klaus gave it to me. He told me to give it to you... Did something happened? You don't look like yourself"
"He told me that he loves me" Selena muttered and Jenna gasped
"Oh my God! Don't you dare say you didn't say it back" Jenna said and her niece remained silent "Do you love him?"
"I do... I mean I don't know, I think I do" Selena admitted "I'm scared... what if something happens, like they cut off our bond and he stops loving me? Because I know for a fact that my frelings are real"
"Well you won't know if you don't give it a chance. Plus the way he treats you, he's head over heels in love with you"
She opened the box to see a drawing of her causing her and Jenna to gasp quietly as they shared a look and Selena chuckled
'Thank you for your honesty' Yours Klaus
Selena grabbed her car's key and opened the door causing her aunt to look at her dumbfounded "Where are you going?" She asked
"To do the right thing" she said amd slammed the door shut behind her

She drove to the Mikaelson mansion, she stood in front of their door and took a deep breath it was too late to back down so she knocked the bell ring
"Selena?" Elijah asked when be opened the door revealing the young Enchantress "Is everything okay? Are you okay?"
"Yeah thank you... Is Nik home?" She asked him and he smiled as he nodded and motioned for her to come in
"He's in his room" he told her and she nodded as she made it upstairs and knocked his door twice
"What the bloody hell Eli-" he trailed off when he saw his soulmate in front of him "Selena? What are you doing here?"
She smiled and instead of answering him, she surprised him by kissing him, it took him a moment to respond but he did. He pulled her closer to him as he closed the door
"I love you too" she whispered between his lips and he smiled widely and kissed her once again
He continued to kiss her and he moved them slowly towards the bed, she removed his shirt and his hands slid up the dress touching her skin and she gripped the back of his head, fingers tangling his curls. Klaus unzipped her dress, that fell into the ground and he laid her down on the bed without interrupting the kiss
"Wait" he whispered and they stopped as her chest was rising and falling due to the quick breathing "Are you sure?"
"I've never been so sure in my entire life" she said with a smile and he chuckled their lips crashed together with a force that sent a shock of pleasure-pain through her
Now his lips pressing the corner of her mouth and then along her jaw and down her throat, sending little shocks of astonished pleasure through her body
"If we do this now. I can never let you go" he told her and she smiled at him lovingly
"I don't want you to" she bit her lip
"I love you" he whispered in her ear and then nipped at her earlobe causing her to gasp lightly
Selena abandoned herself to the kisses, the language of them, the wordless speech that passed between the two of them silently
He looked down at her body as his eyes darkened with lust and desire as he grabbed her left tigh hoisting it up to his waist.
She moaned softly as she bit her lower lip when he moved to her neck and then collarbone. Their naked bodies pressed against each other.
He sucked at her skin harshly and he trailed kissed down her stomach teasingly and he moved down to her core causing her to moan lightly as she gripped onto his hair tightly
Climbing back over her, he kissed her more passionately as the kiss became more heated, he bit her lower lip causing her to moan between his lips. He entered her causing her to gasp lightly as he took her hands and pinned them on either side of her head. He groaned in pleasure and his eyes flashing Gold as she moaned loudly calling his name repeatedly
