I haven't updated this in a while,
I feel like such a bad author to you all. 😞
But here's an update!! I'll try and write more for this along with my other books too ( I'm not sure if I'll finish the S1 arc before S3 drops this week — which I'm very excited about, can't wait! 👏🏻👏🏻) but expect maybe an update before it's released with a review!! ✌🏻

"Psst... Psst, Y/N... Y/NNNN??"
You heard someone whisper, even shaking you awake which earned them a low groan leaving your lips in annoyance. "Come on, please wake up Y/N. I need to tell you something!" He sighed lowly.
"Darius, you do realize that it's close to 3 AM right now?" Rubbing your eyes, and sitting up to glance at the boy tiredly.
Darius groaned softly with a few nods "I know, I know... And I'm sorry for waking you up. But I didn't want to leave without you knowing—"
"Knowing what?" Your eyesight adjusting and blink a few times, noticing how he had his jacket on which got you curious and he seemed nervous.
"I'm gonna sneak out and go to the compy enclosure..."
"W-wait what—?!" You immediately covered your mouth to stop your shouting, eyes wide, the young boy cringing slightly and watched you lower your hand and continued softly "Darius, are you crazy?!"
"Yes, I am. Because I've been waiting my whole life to see a real dinosaur from this place, and this could be my only chance to see one now!"
You stared at the brown boy in question, but somehow understood his reason to sneak out, unsure of what to say. "And I'm still going even if you disagree, so I just wanted to tell you in case." He finishes firmly.
You sighed "I'm glad you told me..." eying how he nodded sadly with his head low "But I'll be going with you." His eyes lit up in hearing your response, seeing your tired smile, and climbed out of bed to quickly change into a new pair of clothes.
And once you were done, the two of you silently but carefully sneak out of the bedroom's cabin. Not wanting to wake up your friends, Dave and Roxie, or anyone who was around and awake, soon walking through the cabin living room with slow and silent steps.
Then you felt someone's hand grab onto yours, a hitch of air caught in your throat, and whispered "Was that you, D?"
"Y-yeah, it's me..." he stuttered, a breath of relief leaving your lips in hearing his response. Smiling softly and squeezing his palm gently.
That was when the lights switched on, causing you both to freeze in alarm.
"Well, well, well... Lookey what we have here." And speaking of the devil, Kenji was still up (having a huge triumphant grin on his face) and caught you red-handed. "And what are you two doin'?"
You glanced at Darius and mouthed don't worry, just play it cool and do what I do and turned to give a calm expression and shrugged lightly "Oh, we just came from the bathroom and went around the cabins is all. I couldn't sleep..."
"Yeah! I got up to accompany her because—I-I'm thirsty!" Darius further explained, smiling nervously.
Kenji then points at the water dispenser near the dining table, this got the yellow jacket boy's anxiousness to rise. "Oh wait! I-i actually meant hungry..."
The raven-haired boy smirked, opening some cabinets and shelves to reveal a stash of snacks and candy jars, patting the wooden compartments gently you cringed inside on how bad your dear friend was at lying.
"Oh, would you look at that!" Your lips went to a straight line.
"T-thanks Kenji..." Darius placed a fake smile on for show, embarrassed at his failed attempt to lie. (And play it cool with you—😂😂😏)
Kenji walks over to the two of us "Look, lovebirds... I don't want you both to be intimidated by me just because I'm rich, my father owns a few condos on the island, and well I'm rich." putting an arm around Darius's shoulder while the other slide to hold your side.
"Uh, I'm not intimated by you..." Darius stated simply, eying Kenji, you gently remove his arm from your waist. "Neither am I... And you said 'rich' twice, y'know that?" Your eyebrow raised at the Asian boy.
"Oh, good. I just want us to be friends and friends tell each other stuff. Like for instance, what they're doing out of bed, late after curfew?" Kenji smirked, adjusting Darius's jacket with wiping some dirt off.
"And like I said: We just went to the restroom and did a quick walk around the cabins, nothing more..." you repeated with a groan.
He chuckled lowly "Ha yeah like I'd ever fall for that lie from you missy."
"If you call me that one more tim—"
"Or what? You'll tell Roxie and Dave about me?" He does a fake scream "Oooh!! I'm so scared!" Then laughs in amusement, this got your anger up higher than it needed to be as you clenched your fists shut.
"Hey, leave Y/N out of this and you best get your arm off me, friend." Darius started with a warning tone.
"Oh...? Why don't you make me, friend?" Kenji fired back with a grin still having his arm on Darius.
You ran your hand through your hair and down your face and mutter "I am surrounded by idiots..." Rolling your eyes at the petty fight happening between Darius and Kenji and then hear a camera click from the side, discovering it was Brooklynn.
"Ah, so that's what toxic masculinity looks like," she commented with a smirk and walking to your side. Ugh, tell me about it...
Darius was nervous in seeing they had another person discovering "Uh, I'm sorry we woke you up. I—"
"He and his little girlfriend were sneaking out, but I set them straight..." Kenji caught him off while waving his hand but I spoke up before he could say anything else.
This made you chuckle "Okay, that's a bit strange for someone like you to say that and second, I'm not his girlfriend..."
Kenji rolled his eyes while mumbling something lowly (trying to ignore you) before returning his gaze onto Brooklynn. "Look, I try to look out for the younger kids. It's—it's kinda what I do!" He explained simply.
"Is it now?" You raised an eyebrow at the raven-haired boy.
"You really like to get on people's nerves, don't you?" He spat with a tight grin.
"Nah, I just want to remind those who are too full of themselves that not everything is about them—"
"Haha, nice quote but pretty corny if ya ask me. What are you some kind of fortune cookie?" Now staring down at you, eyebrows furrowed.
"Okay, your about to get it—" ready to throw a punch at the Asian Rich-boy.
"Ugh, will you guys just stop! You don't understand!!" Darius groaned "I've been waiting my whole life to get here and... I'm gonna make the most of it. Those lights must be coming from the compy enclosure. I gotta check it out!" While pointing to a faintly lit-up arena that was quite close to camp. Y/N couldn't help but feel guilty for being so focused on Kenji that she forgot about Darius.
"Hmmm... Sneaking out to see dinosaurs in the dead of night, the mad danger of getting caught, great mood lighting... So, I guess that means—" Brooklynn started while going through her phone. Before the flash went on signaling her recording and smirked "We're going rogue!" And does an explosion sound.
You had a relieved look, before grinning in knowing Brooklynn joining instead of reporting you and Darius to Roxie and Dave.

The four of you made your way out of the cabin and into the thick jungle of Jurassic World, towards the small light of the compy pen. As you got closer and closer to the location, you would glance at Darius every so often to see his excitement growing by the child-like grin appearing slowly across his features, a smile on your face in seeing how happy he was.
You've only met earlier this morning and spent the entire day with each other, it felt like you knew Darius for years. Like he was the best friend you never had.
"I think this is it. The truck definitely drove up here..." Darius whispered, we were crouched down against a guard truck.
Kenji laughed "Of course this is it! Why else would they have—" before Brooklynn put a hand over his mouth from the sound of the driver's door opening with the light of the car turning on and a crew member looked out the window for a minute. Man, if he continued with his blabbering mouth we would've been caught...
Luckily, we were able to silently sprint towards a few plastic crates and hid behind them. And once we heard the sound of the truck moving, we went to a metal staircase that will lead us to the viewing area of the Compy pen.
As we got higher from the ground, I couldn't help but wonder about how excessive this place was, It pretty high containment for such small dinosaurs...
"Hey, Brooklynn! You can get a good shot from over here!" Kenji grinned and walked up to the pink-haired vlogger and grabs her phone "Allow me—"
"No thanks. I can—" Brooklynn dismissed him, trying to retrieve her device from Mr. crazy, rich, Asian boy. You rolled your eyes at the two and glanced over at Darius, who was quiet ever since we arrived here with having a down-and-out look on his face.
You walked to stand beside him, arms resting against the railing with a small frown "Hey, what's wrong?"
He sighs "It's just... I'm starting to think that this might not be the compy enclosure, I can't see any down there." eyes scanning the dinosaur cage.
Earning a nod from you "It does look too big to be for their kind, I'm sorry D."
He waved his hand "I-it's fine, I guess we better get back now before—"
"Give me my—!" You hear a gasp, you and Darius turn around. That's when you all watched Brooklynn's phone slip out of their fingertips and fall into the enclosure and hitting a metal pipe with a loud jangle.
"Thanks, Kenji... Real smooth!" Brooklynn sighed, before looking down into the arena to try and spot her phone.
The raven-haired boy took a deep breath and smiles "Relax, I'll get it!"
Your eyebrows furrow in what he was doing next "Wait! What are you?!—" Darius' ran up to Kenji who was climbing over to the other side of the railing.
"I got it, kid..." He shushed him, before climbing onto the metal fence, jumping down from the gate and into the enclosure, before looking around for the phone.
You shook your head and huff lowly "He's insane..."
"See? Good as new!" Kenji held the device up and waved it with the screen brightly on.
"Great. Now just climb back up and gently hand it to me!" Brooklynn said sarcastically, as we all looked down into the arena.
"Sure, sure! But right after I get a sweet Dino pic for you and your followers. No need to thank me!" Kenji exclaimed, you could almost tell he had a smirk on his face and saw his hand sticking out the gate. This guy sure likes to make an impression on people...
Brooklynn just groaned with arms crossed and waited for the boy to finish.
"Um, guys this isn't the compy pen..." Darius muttered lowly.
Kenji groaned "Quiet, junior! The grown-ups are talking..." and returned his attention to the dinosaurs inside the cage " Ah, Brooklynn your followers are gonna love this! Here... compy, compy!" he called out, ready to take a photo.
"This isn't the compy pen!!" Darius screamed out, hands gripping the railing tightly. Your eyes widen in seeing something zip past the large leaves within the enclosure. Then you recognized the unknown dinosaur that was creeping out of the shadows to where Kenji's arm hung out.
"Raptors..." you mumbled, cursing lowly in remembering how dangerous they were from reading one of Doctor Grant's books, looking down into the pen and heard the clicking sound of Kenji taking the shot.
The raptor growled and banged against the metal gate with Kenji screaming as he backed away to the wall away from the fence enclosure. Claws reaching out to grab the teenage boy.
You, Darius, and Brooklynn followed the dinosaur as it moved with Kenji, then find an operating board. You weren't sure on which one to click "No, Brooklynn wait!" she went with pressing the green one. A loud siren went off and red emergency lights switched on around the containment.
"Open the gate! Open the gate!!" Kenji shouted, banging on the metal doors with fear in his voice, then the gate separating him and the velociraptor began to move up.
There was so much was happening, glancing between Darius and Brooklynn or around the enclosure, accompanied by Kenji's cries and the raptor screeching while scratching and banging on the metal fence roughly.
Then Darius began to hit a large yellow pipe with his foot, grunting lowly. Causing it to break as smoke was released, separating Kenji and the Velociraptor, who was cawing loudly as it messed with it's vision.
"Darius..."
The boy turned his troubled eyes on you for a moment, making direct eye contact and then jumped down into the cage as the smoke left the broken pipe, landing on a bone pile.
"Dude, I really hope you have a plan!" Kenji was panicking at this point, still backing away towards the wall.
Darius gave his some reassuring words before glancing at the ground where bones laid underneath his feet "Kenji, try and look through the bones for a raptor skull!"
"Wait what?!"
"I-it's uh, from the VR game that I—!"
"You seriously wanna mention video games now?!"
Their talk was interrupted by the smoke lessening, the hissing noise not as loud anymore. The air clearing and the velociraptor pounced through with a screech, scaring Darius as he shrieked and slipped on a bone and fell on his back, backing away quickly from the raptor.
You're worry was building up and glance at the operating board again, a specific button caught your eye with a pig on it? Then getting an idea, walking to the strawberry haired girl and pat her shoulder.
"Brooklynn, on my signal. Press that button."
"What, but why—"
"Just trust me."
Your body began to move, running onto the metal bridge way and stop in the middle to of the enclosure, extending the catch pole it your hands and turn to the pink haired blogger "Now!"
She did so, a buzzing sound went on and a mini hatch opened releasing a pig, attracting the velociraptor and pursuing the small piglet that ran for dear life, oinking loudly.
You jump over the railing and climb down, stopping halfway on the thick metal fence in watching the dinosaur chase it's prey. "Y/N!! N-no!"
Ignoring the plea of your yellow jacket friend, now inside the cage, next to the metal fence and stomp your foot against it to attract the velociraptor "Hey! Over here!"
The raptor immediately turned its attention away from the pig, head cocking to side and ran towards you. Hand on the metal railing of the fence, your three friends watched in anticipation over what you'd do, the raptor got closer, claws out and roared, prepared to eat you. When you jumped up the fence quickly climbing up, as the carnivore hit its head and falls over onto its side.
You let go land land with a huff of breath,
That was crazy...
"Y/N! Look out!!" Brooklynn screamed from above.
And a shocking revelation was unveiled to you, there wasn't just one raptor — but three more, huddled together, a pack of velociraptors were in this enclosure and you didn't know.
A gasp leaving your lips with Brooklynn covering her mouth in shock from above. Grabbing a stick from the ground and holding it out defensively in front of you, ugh what good would this do?!
Darius' eyes widen as you were backing away slowly and without knowing trip on a rock, you yelped as your back made contact with the ground and a raptor came closer to you, cawing loudly.
Your body was sore from the impact. But nonetheless, use your arms and legs to move backwards away from the carnivorous dinosaurs. Fear beginning to build within you, panting heavily as they followed your every move. The fourth one managed to get up and be with its pack.
You were cornered, all four raptors onto you.
"Oh, sh—"

So sorry for the cliffhanger, one of the reasons it took me a while to finish this was how it would end. And I'm satisfied with this version lol 😂😏
