Sheng Yeting casually observed what was going on inside Xia Xingcheng. In fact, he himself did not realize that he cared about this woman so much. He was originally planning to just let his men take Xia Xingcheng away after he had finished his business.

The two body guards came to seize Xia Xingcheng but she swiftly picked up some bowls beside her and poured the soup all over their upper bodies. The action of the two body guards was hindered. Mr. Xia had just come back to his senses and angrily commanded his men to block Xia Xingcheng’s way.
Mr. Xia was outraged. “When I catch this sinful daughter, see how I will deal with her.”
Xia Xingcheng was not at all stupid and she had anticipated what her father would do. Taking advantage of the disorderly situation, she seized a waiter and asked him hurriedly, “Where is the back door?”
That waiter was startled by Xia Xingcheng, as she looked like a dying duck in a thunderstorm; then he promptly pointed her in the right direction.
Hearing that the bodyguards were catching up, and being too occupied to say thank you, Xia Xingcheng channeled all her effort into running out. There were no bodyguards at the back door and Xia Xingcheng didn’t dare delay, running like mad down the road and thinking to take a cab, but there was no sign of any cars on the road. Xia Xingcheng was desperate. It was June but she felt the crawling of cold perspiration on her body. If she was caught up by them again, it wouldn’t be so simple for her to just marry that old man.
In the nick of time, as she was running and feeling hopeless, a Maybach suddenly stopped in front of her, blocking her way. The car was definitely aiming for her and Xia Xingcheng thought that these were her father’s men coming to get her. She couldn’t help beginning to look pale as she was staring at that car and, right then, forgot to run away.
The person inside the car wound down the window and there appeared Sheng Yeting’s aloof face; then without much emotion he said coldly, “Get in.”
Knowing that her father’s men were chasing after her, Xia Xingcheng didn’t give it a second thought but opened the door and got in the car. The driver slammed on the accelerator and the car tore off.
With a lingering fear in her heart, Xia Xingcheng looked back and saw her father’s men were already chasing after her. As Sheng Yeting’s car was faster, they failed to catch up. Xia Xingcheng didn’t settle down until her father’s car had disappeared from sight. She turned to Sheng Yeting sitting next to her and smiled with appreciation. “Thank you.”
Sheng Yeting gave a hum of acknowledgment and didn’t say much. Sheng Yeting hadn’t moved his gaze away from Xia Xingcheng since she got into the car. He failed to see it before but she turned out to be quite a resolute woman. Inadvertently Sheng Yeling began to look at the woman with great admiration.
Xia Xingcheng was made quite uneasy by his stare, so she cleared her throat to cover her embarrassment and said, “Well, just leave me there up ahead. Please don’t let me trouble you.”
Since she had now run away from the Xia family, the most important thing was to find Bao. As for Sheng Yeting, she would surely visit him another day. So many days had passed and she was wondering where Bao could be. The harder she thought, the more concern she felt. If something really had happened to Bao she would drag the Xia’s to hell, along with herself.
Old and new grudges had overwhelmed Xia Xingcheng. Clenching her fists, she suddenly felt a stabbing pain in her palm. Opening her palm, Xia Xingcheng frowned and found a large patch of skin was burnt, and the surrounding skin had been swelling. It must have been burned when she toppled that table.
Xia Xingcheng was not in the mood for such things and she was about to put her hands away when Sheng Yeting pulled her hand swiftly to him. Being that close to one another made Xia Xingcheng pause in confusion and she forgot to resist.
"You're hurt." Sheng Yeting paused and said to the driver, "Go to the hospital."
Hearing this, Xia Xingcheng quickly drew back her hand. Her cheeks were flushed with unnatural redness. She said instantly, "There’s no need to send me to the hospital. If I may, please take me back to the hotel. I want to find Bao."
Talking about Bao, Xia Xingcheng was finally unable to control her feelings and her eyes turned red.
Sheng Yeting took back his empty hand, and seemed to still feel the warmth of Xia Xingcheng on his fingertips. He had never felt this before. He turned his eyes away to cover up his emotions and ignored Xia Xingcheng's words.
“Driver, speed up. To the hospital.” Sheng Yeting repeated.
Xia Xingcheng was very irritated and yelled at him, despite the fact that he had just saved her. “What’s wrong with you? I said I won’t go to the hospital! I’m going back to the hotel! My son went missing and he was gone two days ago!”
Once again she felt rather saddened thinking about Bao. She was about to say something to get him to let her out when Sheng Yeting, all of a sudden, lowered his gaze and kissed her on the lips.
“Um.”
Xia Xingcheng opened her eyes wide seeing the handsome face approaching, and she was unable to think straight with her mind a blank.
Sheng Yeting was also kind of shocked at himself for doing this. He only did it on the spur of the moment to try to quiet her down by gagging her mouth like this, but he didn’t expect himself to actually kiss her.
He didn't foresee that he himself would actually go overboard like that. Sheng Yeting came back to his senses instantly and let go of this pair of red lips. “You’re finally quiet.”
Xia Xingcheng blushed again and forgot their argument only minutes ago. All that was on her mind was the kiss just now. Why did he kiss her? Thinking about it, Xia Xingcheng couldn’t help but ask it aloud.
Sheng Yeting raised his eyebrows, still without any emotion in his eyes, and said carelessly, “This is how I shut you up. You’re very annoying.”
Xia Xingcheng flushed instantly but it was not because of embarrassment this time but out of anger. ‘What on earth is he up to? Such a nuisance!’

The car had soon driven them to the hospital. Xia Xingcheng didn’t dare waste time and went into the hospital and got her wound dressed straight away. Sheng Yeting was staring at her in the car all the time and what he really meant remained obscure.
Xia Xingcheng got out of the hospital as quickly as possible and her wound had become more and more serious because of the warm weather. She got some medicine and when she went out, she saw that conspicuous Maybach still parked there, which made her feel rather surprised.
