Genevieve's POV
Everyone sat near the fields for the battle with the Volturi. I was beginning to look pregnant now. When Charlie found out after we had visited him on Christmas, he was happy, especially if their was two of them. I stood near Carlisle seeing as he didn't want me out of his sight for the whole thing.
Jacob placed down some firewood for a little bonfire, even though the vampires didn't need it. Benjamin walked over and pointed to the fire as fire came out of his finger. The bonfire lit and everyone smiled.
"That's what I'm talking about. A little pre-battle bonfire, telling war stories. Or just standing there like frickin' statues" Jacob says
Garrett walked over and sat down.
"Name any American battle. I was there" Garrett tells him
"Little Bighorn" Jacob says
"I came this close to biting Custer, but the Indians got him first" Garrett tells him
I smiled that the wolves and vampires were getting along. Kate then walked over and sat down next to Garrett.
"Try Oleg's assault on Constantinople, he didn't win that one on his own" Kate says
"If you're talking battles, you're talking the Eleven years' war. No one does rebellion like the Irish" Liam says
"You lost the Eleven years' war" Garrett says
"Aye. It was one hell of a rebellion" Liam says
"When we ruled, everything came to us. Prey, diplomats, favor seekers. Such was our power. We have two mind controllers, but we never put on white hats and called ourselves saints. We were honest about what we were. We sat still for a very long time. We didn't notice that we were beginning to petrify" Vladimir says
"Perhaps the Volturi did us a favor when they burned our castles" Stefan says
"We've been waiting 1,500 years to return the favor. We've been ready to do battle for ages. And to protect Bella as she is a reminder of our mind controller members" Vladimir says
Edward looked Carlisle, making me look at them. Carlisle wrapped an arm around my waist.
"I can't help thinking, all these people are putting themselves in danger because I fell in love with a human." Edward tells Carlisle
"You found your mate. You deserve to be happy" Carlisle tells him
"But at what cost?" Edward asks
"Everyone here has someone to fight for. I certainly do" Carlisle tells him
I looked at Carlisle as he looked at me. He leaned in and kissed me then soon pulled away. Edward looked at the tent for Mee where Bella and Mee are.
"Carlisle, I never thanked you for this extraordinary life" Edward tells him
"No need" Carlisle tells him

The Volturi were arriving now. Everyone got into positions based on their coven. I stood beside Carlisle, as we all stood in the field. I looked at Carlisle.
"I love you" I told him
"I love you too. Whatever happens, I love you" Carlisle tells me
The Volturi soon came into view, and their was a lot more people than our side. This was scary.
"They're looking for Alice" Edward says
Once the Volturi were close enough, some took their hoods off from their cloaks. Carlisle stepped forward. I watched him, scared for his well-being.
"Aro, let us discuss things as we used to. In a civiled manner" Carlisle tells him
"Fair words, Carlisle. But a little out of place, given the battalion you've sembled against us" Aro tells him
"I can promise you, that was never my intent. No laws have been broken" Carlisle tells him
"We see the child. Do not treat us as fools!" Caius yells
"They are not immortal! These witnesses can attest to that, or you can look. See the flush of human blood in her cheeks" Carlisle says
"Artiface!" Caius yells
"I will collect every facet of the truth. But someone more central to the story. Edward, as the child clings to your newborn mate, I assume you are involved" Aro says
Edward looks at Bella and Mee, before walking over to Aro. Bella puts a shield around him, only for him to go out of her reach. Edward walks up to Aro, and gives him his hand. After a little while, Aro looks at me and Mee.
"I would like to meet them" Aro says
I looked at Carlisle before walking after Bella, Mee, Jacob, and Emmett. We walked over to Aro. He smiled seeing Bella.
"Ah. Young Bella, immortality becomes you" Aro tells her
He then looks to me and smiles.
"And who are you?" Aro asks
"Genevieve Swan, Bella's sister" I told him
"Genevieve. The vampire-human hybrid in Edward's thoughts. The one with two powers. May I?" Aro asks
Aro holds his hand out to me. I place my hand on his, and he places his other hand over mine.
"You're so different then what I thought. A mermaid before a vampire. You're not biologically related to Bella. Interesting" Aro says
I stepped back so Mee can walk to him. She stepped forward making Aro look at her.
"I hear her strange heart" Aro says
"Hello, Aro" Mee says to him
Mee walked to the point where she was close to him. She then placed her hand on his cheek, showing him her power. Aro smiled in amazement at what she can do.
"Magnifico! Half immortal, half mortal. Carried and conceived by this newborn while she was human" Aro says
"Impossible!" Caius yells
"Do you think they fooled me, brother?" Aro asks him
We walked back over to the other side. Carlisle protectively wrapped an arm around my waist. Caius looked towards some guards.
"Bring the informer forward" Caius tells them
Irina was then brought forward. Her arms were gripped by guards. I knew that they were going to kill her. I prepared to stop them if they were about to.
"Is that the child you saw?" Caius asks her
"I don't know" Irina says
"Jane" Caius says
"She's changed. She's bigger" Irina tells him
"Then your allegations were wrong" Caius tells her
"The Cullen's are innocent. I take full responsibility for my mistake. I'm sorry" Irina says looking at us
"Irina!" Kate calls out to her as Felix walks over to her
I closed my eyes. I imagined that she wasn't going to be killed. She didn't deserve it. She didn't know what or who Mee was. I then heard gasps as I had my eyes closed. I opened them to see Irina on our side, not with the Volturi. My eyes widened. I looked down at my hand, and saw a yellow wisp come out of my hands that was linked to Irina.
"Did you do that?" Carlisle asks
"I guess so" I told him
"Why did you do that?" Aro asks
"Because she is family, and I won't let anyone hurt my family" I told him
Jane looked towards me and out of nowhere pain spread throughout my body. I winced in pain and fell to the ground, snow flinging around me. Carlisle crouched down next to me to help me up. I looked at Jane and shot my hand out at her. Yellow wisps came out of my hand and caused her to fall to the ground, causing the pain to stop. I got up with the help of Carlisle.
"You alright?" Carlisle asks
"Yeah" I tell him
"Aro, you see there's no law broken here" Carlisle tells him
"Agreed. But does it then follow that their is no danger? For the first time in our history, humans pose a threat to our kind. Their modern technology has given birth to weapons that can destroy us. Maintaining our secret had never been more imperative. In such perilous times, only the known are safe. Only the known is tolerable. And we know nothing of what the child will become. Can we live with such certainty? Spare ourselves a fight today, only to die tomorrow" Aro says
Then two figures appeared in the distance. I noticed it was Alice and Jasper. I tried my best to fight a smile seeing them. Aro sees them as well.
"Alice!" Aro says as she and Jasper walk over "My dear, dear Alice, we're so glad to see you here, after all"
"I have evidence that the child won't be a risk to our kind. Let me show you" Alice says
Alice placed her hand out for him to hold. Aro walked over and took it.
