she hugs you. you stand up and wrap your arms around her.

*maggie's pov*
i walk inside and most people are back to doing their own thing. the girl is talking to security guards. i look around for bryce and payton. i find them in the back talking.
P | i don't know man. i just-
he rubs his hands over his face.
M | hey.
P | maggie! omg is she okay? i-
M | i need the keys, bryce.
B | oh, uhh here.
M | thank you.
i start to walk off.
P | maggie, please! can i go see her. i just need to talk to her for a little bit.
M | not right now.
P | please. i literally beg of you. 5 minutes then i'll fly home.
M | don't fly home.
P | i don't want to?!
M | then why would you bring it up?
P | i don't know. maggie i just need to talk to her.
i see his eyes full with tears.
M | not yet, but come with me.
i walk him to the door.
M | you are not here when i walk outside.
P | okay.
M | don't say a word.
P | okay.
i open the door and amber and audrey are sitting in the step. audrey turns around and sees the both of you.
A | payton?
P | audrey.
his voice breaks.
Am | you wanna talk to him?
she shakes her head.
A | i- i can't.
Am | okay. that's okay.

i tug payton's arm and he doesn't move. he can't take his eyes off of her.
M | payton.
i whisper shout. he tugs his arm out of my hand and starts walking over to her. that's when a bryce comes out of nowhere and grabs the collar of his suit.
B | come on.
he drags him toward the car.
M | thank you.
B | no problem.
P | guys, i just want to talk to her.
M | it's going to make it worse.
P | i can't stand seeing her like that.
M | yeah? and do you think it's easy for her to see what just happened after she trusted you.
he doesn't say anything.
P | you don't think i actually-
M | i don't know at this point.
i start to walk back.
P | maggie! that girl's a fan. i've never seen her in my life. anyways when would i even have time to go see her. you know i was at audrey's house the whole last time i was here.
M | okay! then you're going to have to explain that to her. not me.
P | i can't if you won't let me?!
M | not right now!
P | then when?! i'm not going to sit here and watch her go through that when i know i'm the reason.
M | you are. at least you got that part.
he rolls his eyes.

*back to audrey's pov*
you hear footsteps approaching. they brought the tissues. your makeup is well past ruined by now.
Am | do you wanna go someplace else.
A | can i talk to him?
Am | audrey are you-
A | please.
Am | y- yeah.
she looks up and gestures over.
Am | just call me if you need anything. we will all wait just at my car.
you nod. she walks off and just then you hear payton approach. he sits about a foot and a half from you.
P | audrey can i just explain what happened in there.
A | go ahead i'm listening.
P | i want to start off by saying i have no idea who she is. i've never seen her in my whole life. i only came out here to see you-
A | i said what happened. not your excuses.
P | right. i was going over to get the drinks with bryce when she walked over. like a normal fan and she started to get a little close before she threw herself at me. i couldn't do anything about it. bryce saw what happened. that's when amber ran over and... you saw the rest.
A | you kissed her.
P | she threw herself at me. audrey-
you stand up and start speed walking toward the car. when the girls see you they quickly get out to comfort you and get you home. bryce runs past. obviously to get payton.
B | i'll take you to a hotel.
P | but i-
B | come on.
maggie sits in the backseat with you.
M | what happened.
A | can you guys just drop me off at home. i don't want to talk about it.
Am | yeah. of course.
M | do you want me to stay ov-
A | no. i just want to be by myself.
M | o- okay.
the girls try to talk to you the whole ride home. you just take your stuff and walk inside. your parents are asleep. you just get up to your room and shut the door. you collapse on the floor right as you turn the lock. your tears sting your eyes. after an hour of just bawling on the floor you decide to change. you take your dress off and have it just laying on the floor of your room. you put on a sweatshirt and sweatpants and don't even take off your makeup before getting in your bed and crying again.
so many emotions.
