Amity's Pov:
It was around the middle of the night.
The movie had ended and I was the only one awake.
I couldn't fall asleep.
Not because of the movie.
I didn't pay attention to one part of that movie.
It had something to do with gangs and covens- ahhhh I really don't know.
But what I was focused on was the beautiful girl sleeping on my shoulder.
She was adorable, and cute, and so many other things.
I have a soulmate.
I know I do.
But everytime I was around Luz I got butterflies.
She was so funny and she's really smart! Something she doesn't give herself enough credit for.
But there was a huge problem.
Shes a human.
Even if we could date- which we would never I don't even like her!
But if we did, someday my soulmate would come around.
I would hang out with them and end up falling in love.
Then I would haft to choose.
I would haft to choose between a girl I have a massive crush on and only met a month ago. Or my soulmate...
It's something I really didn't like the thought of.
Luz seemed so perfect.
She didn't care what others thought of her, she always helped others before her, and she was absolutely optimistic.
That's what I loved so much about her.
She never let anything bring her down.
But like I said.
I've only known her for a little over a month.
I looked down at the sleeping Latina.
She had her legs curled up so she could stay up properly and her right side was leaning on me.
Her right arm was laying on the floor while her left hand was reaching across her and resting on my leg.
It was comfortable to me.
Her breathing was steady and peaceful.
Her face was illuminated by the moon that shone through the window.
She looked like a goddess.
Emira was laying on her bed with her arms sprawled out like a star fish, while Edric was laying fully on the floor. Only his head was propped up against the bed.
No doubt his neck would be in pain tommorrow.
I looked back down to Luz.
She nuzzled her face into my shoulder before relaxing again.
I could feel a smile make it's way onto my face.
I rested my head on top of hers and closed my eyes.
Maybe I didn't want my soulmate.
Maybe I wanted her.
