Prologue

You never want to admit that you're alone. Loneliness is like a knife in the heart most times. Even if you aren't completely alone, it's hard to get over what you've lost. When people walk out of your life you put a barrier around your heart. You stop trusting people, you stop telling them things, you do whatever possible to protect your heart from getting broken yet again. When people talk about the worst types of pain in the world they're always talking about the physical types of pain. No one talks about the emotional pain of feeling your heart break because that's what really hurts. Nothing compares to mental scarring of a broken heart. Physical pain is temporary, while emotional pain will be with you forever.
