Day 4 || amusement park.
"aHHHHHHHHH" the students screamed as they finally came out of the haunted house.
Some students were laughing out of the fun, some were screaming their lungs out in horror.
To save their dear life, they pushed each other through the exit. Their throats, dry as the desert itself from all the screaming.
Who doesn't like a thrilling yet fun experience right?
The darkness swallows you as you try to find an escape, getting the clues inside that house as you walk through. The ghosts, vampires, and whatnot will be following you and be your distraction so you won't escape sooner.
This was the meaning of fun for some, but it was a risk to their life for others as they started calling out for their parents.
Because of these horror experiences that people called fun. Hyunjin, the most unexpected man, was clinging to the girl beside him. He screamed, he called his mom, he apologized as a ghost touched him.
Seunghee couldn't help but laugh as he stayed near her, asking her to save him every single time a ghost moves. The girl wanted to remind him that they were just wearing makeup, but she couldn't even try to say one word to him as he kept jumping and flinching every time.
Finally, after that 'deadly' experience, the two got to escape and find the exit.
Hyunjin was currently clinging onto the girl with his eyes close as they walked out. This boy was seriously holding on for his dear soul.
Their hairs were a mess, the boy was shaking in horror and panic, not even bothering to open his eyes until the girl finally spoke, "We're outside now." She chuckled.
Hyunjin then slowly opened his eyes, closed it again then opened it again. The realization hits that he was in public now which made him (instantly) pull away from the girl, clearing his throat afterward.
"That- th-that was fun. Right?" He rubbed the back of his neck, he bit his lower lip awkwardly.
Hyunjin had flashbacks of what just happened, causing him to swear at himself internally.
Of course, the signal of the boy regretting his actions bounced to the girl beside him. It was written all over his face. He was obviously, thinking about what he had done.
"It's fine." Seunghee said. "It was actually fun." She then giggled. She always wanted to see his other side, she knew that the image that he shows at school wasn't really him. So she thought of herself as lucky for encountering his other personality.
He never usually shows this kind of side.
Still, the boy overthought and the girl just decided to let him take his time to breathe so she kept quiet.
They didn't even realize that they were standing in front of the exit until another person was pushed by his friend out of it. "aHH EARTH. AIR. LIGHT."
Seunghee flinches and quickly moves aside along with Hyunjin, looking over at two people. "oh. I'm sor- oh? Han Jisung?"
"Peter han..?" Seunghee smiles a bit, waving at her friend behind someone.
"Huh? What?." The boy seemed to be longing for air as he looked back at the person who called his name. "wait?! Seunghee? Yoooooo!! It's been a long time."He chuckled rather awkwardly.
"Yeahh! It's been quite a long time——I heard you moved instead of going to Malaysia."
"Ah yeah I did, it was all of a sudden I'm sorry for not informing you." Jisung pouted but the girl shook her head, forcing a smile. "It's all good!"
"What are you doing in Incheon by the way?"
"Field trip."
Jisung nodded in understanding. "Ahh, I hope you guys are enjoying it then~." He gave a gummy smile before looking at his friend. "Ah right, this is Kim Seungmin—— Seungmin- this is Seunghee."
"Ah. Hi." The boy greeted her politely and as shyly as possible while Jisung then started to notice the boy beside Seunghee. "Oh? Hwang Hyunjin- you're Hyunjin right? You were the video director of that project."
Seunghee looked over at him then back at Jisung.
"Yes- I- I was," Hyunjin replied.
"Weren't you always with Minho?" Jisung asked in curiosity as Hyunjin's eyes started to wander around the floor. "Ah yeah. I- I was."
Jisung hummed in response and then nodded, quickly getting the sudden somewhat flustered reaction of the boy. "Sorry I just never saw you with anyone else but- I won't say anymore so don't worry. Me and Seungmin will go along then, I don't want to waste your trip time. It's good to see you again, Seung!"
"You too, Sungie! Have fun as well. Always take care alright?" She waved constantly as Jisung did the same and his friend gave a shy smile at them. "See you another time again my friend!"
"See you!" Seunghee continued to wave until the two boys were out of her sight, giving her a chance to look over at the boy. "You alright?"
No response.
Seunghee knew, that he wasn't on earth, yet again. He was going through dimensions after dimensions in his head, again. Though she can't blame him, she can't let his head get over her friend, again.
With such thoughts, the girl grabbed the taller one's hand which took the boy out of his little dimension of flashbacks as he started to be pulled around by her.
"Wh-." The confused boy couldn't even continue his sentence as his eyes finds the line they were suddenly in. Hyunjin slowly looked over at what ride they were gonna go to.
Ferris wheel.
Hyunjin gave a deep sigh of relief that it wasn't the rollercoaster they were gonna go to, but he also gave a confused expression as this was sudden. And before he could even speak once again, the girl smiled at him. "I know it's sudden, but you'll see."
The line started to get shorter and shorter, until the two friends could finally go in. "I haven't been to things like this before." Hyunjin mumbled as soon as the door of their cable closed.
"Wah. Really?" Seunghee looked back at the boy. "Yeah, my parents were always busy with donations and all, I didn't mind that though." He looked out of the window.
"Well! In that case, enjoy this moment! Ferris wheels are always the best. Especially when you're on the top!" She smiled calmly, looking out of the cable's window as well.
Hyunjin hummed in response then went into a peaceful quiet, just living the moment as he watches the world slowly shrink. "The world is so small." He mumbled under his breath.
"Yet so big." She continued and looked for a while.
Hyunjin smiles a bit, slowly taking his camera out just to capture this perfect.
Perfect moment.
He knew that he should take a picture to make it last.
Because at last, he figured and found out, the view of the world he was currently in. It was beautiful, with nature's beauty and man's man-made creation. The people who work down there, the kids who play down there, the people who are fighting for their dreams, and those who are fighting silently. All that joined together. Was beautiful.
If it wasn't perfect, then it was beautiful.
He took a picture, of the view which was currently on his left then turned with his camera, seeing the girl whose eyes were glued at the world with pure adoration in his camera.
He was hesitant.
His hands slowly, clicked on the button to capture the photo.
I mean- Pictures last right?
