Hermione's POV // 4th September
When I woke up I went in the shower, got dressed, then walked downstairs with hopes of reading for a little bit before my day is contaminated with Malfoy germs
when I walked into the common room I saw every breakfast related item under the sun on the table as well as a note
I decided I would read that when ferret was up
I was reading Hogwarts a history when Malfoy finally walked down the stairs
"Mornin frizz"
"why do you still call me that? My hair isn't even frizzy"
"it's stuck now" he muttered with a shrug of his shoulders
"We got the note" I held the note up for him to read
"ok" he didn't take the note but started eating a piece of toast
"ok I'll read it then," I muttered, rolling my eyes
Dear Ms. Granger and Mr. Malfoy
Today you shall play a series of games, these will help you learn to trust one another
game 1 - kiss, marry, Avada kedavra. Everyone takes a turn to pick three people for another person and they have to pick to either kiss, marry, or Avada them
game 2 - amortentia, you both know what this is but instead of it smelling of what you like, you'll smell the person you are most attracted to
You have to do these tasks, if you do not I'll know, and you'll endure immense pain
Once you have finished the games you are free for the day

I'd read it aloud to him
"nope" I sighed
he scoffed "I'm not doing that"
"3... 2... 1..." he shrieked in agony "did you not hear me? You'll experience immense pain if you don't, so you better agree, or your gonna keep-"
"FINE, fine.." he was panting "which game first then?"
"um... kiss, marry, Avada kedavra"
"Fine"
"pansy, Ginny, and Luna" I offered
"...ok um kiss Loony, marry red... oh god Blaise would kill me, and Avada pansy"
"pansy?" I swear they were dating
"no we aren't dating granger"
"Don't use legilimency on me" I didn't even know he knew legilimency
"well I do" he was still smirking
"STOP"
"Alright alright chill. Twin weasel, exploding boy, and Blaise"
"um... marry George, Avada Blaise 'cause Ginny and kiss Seamus... you're a horrible person Malfoy" I stated
"love ya too Granger, ok pick for me"
I sighed "ok uh... oh, lavender, Parvati, Astoria?"
"merlins beard woman why those ones" he shook his head
"because you don't want them"
"fine... uh... marry Astoria, kiss purple, why do I keep kissing my friends' girlfriends," he sighed with frustration "and Avada Patil"
he was pissed but started smirking a couple seconds later
"oh no"
"weasel, Snape... Me"
my smile dropped "Seriously?" he nodded "...AvadasnapekissronMarryyou," I spoke quickly, hoping he wouldn't hear me properly
"huh, what did you say?" he heard me, he put a hand over his ear as if trying to hear better I sighed
"I said, Avada Snape... kiss Ron and marry you- before you get all smug I meant how I and Ron broke up, I'm not going near Snape like that cause ew and you're left so yea.." I finished lamely
"sure, ok I'm bored of this game what's next?"
"amortentia"
"but do we have to make it or do w- oh" it had popped up on the coffee table ready to use
"k who goes first?" I ask
"I will but what if we take veritaserum so we make sure we tell the truth?" he suggested with a malicious grin
"uh... ok fine who cares" I took the bottle of veritaserum that had just popped up and gave it to him "one drop should be enough, I'm pretty sure one lasts a minute"
he nodded and drank one single drop before smelling the amortentia
"what do you smell?" I asked, secretly hoping it was me- what! no mione shut up, you DO NOT want him to be attracted to you
"uh... old books, cinnamon and I think strawberries?" his face went pale when he realized what he said, luckily he quickly got over it
"ok you next granger, what do you smell?"
"spearmint toothpaste... quidditch equipment, and, oh god that's strong" I moved my head away, the smell was potent
"what was it,"
"some kind of cologne, an expensive kind, it seems like... wait here"
I ran up to our room, I remembered something. I picked a small bottle up from the dresser, and ran back downstairs
"my cologne?" I sprayed a small bit on my wrist and smelt it
"... it's this"
We were both standing, now frozen in place, not knowing what to say when lunch appeared on the table and we went back to reality
"um... well we better eat... you know what?"
"what?"
"Let's not talk about this to anyone"
"Sounds good to me"
I guessed the room was working because we only had one argument for the rest of the day which is a big improvement since we usually have about four a day
