"Get the fuck up!" My dad slaps me out my sleep, I get up "put some clothes on hoe!" He spits at me leaving my room,
I take a shower and get dressed for school, my mom died when she gave birth to me and my dad punishes me for it,
He says it's my fault and I killed the love of his life, he abuses me physically and mentally,
I have nowhere else to go tho I have no family anywhere they all moved,
I walk outside my room and grab my phone, "come here!" My dad says from his room I can tell he's been drinking,
"I gotta go!" I say leaving the house, I walk to school I don't catch the bus cause all the kids mess with me and call me names,
I don't really say anything about it cause it's no point, I get to school "Nakaya!" I hear a familiar voice call my name,
I turn my head and see my cousin Dee I run to him, "hey Dee!" I say hugging him Dee moved to Texas with his dad when we were 13,
"Hey wassup I been tryna call you but you ain't answering!" He says, "yea my phone been off I gotta pay my bill when I get payed today!" I say,
"I'm back down here!" He says "good I have no friends here!" I say,
"I made a few friends but everybody act how they did in middle school!" He says, "fake as fuck!" I say walking to my locker,

I walk to my class and people look at me as I sit down, I haven't talked to anyone this whole summer,
I really was just trying to survive working and minding my business, Dee walks in with a group of boys laughing,
Dee comes sit by me making the boys sit by me as well, I put my head down feeling them looking at me,

I put my head back down "she killed her momma while she gave birth to her she probably slow from almost dying with her momma!" Another girl says,

"Nakaya can you please answer number 10?" My teacher repeats herself,
"No call on somebody else I don't know why you always tryna call on me and you know I don't even talk in yo class leave me alone my grades are good and I mind my business!" I say getting up,
I'm bout to cry!
I get all my shit "where are you going?" She ask me, "move bruh!" I say pushing past her,
I leave her class and leave the school, "dumbass shit I'm so tired of this shit!" I say to myself walking,
I walk to a park and do my homework, I walk to my plugs house and get a few Xans from him.
I take two and go back to school, "Kaya!" Dee says walking up to me, I lazily turn my red low eyes to him "huh?" I ask him,

He mugs me and I mug him back I see the only open spot is next to him at the table, I go sit over there and put my head down,

I listen to what he says "your going to write 3 things about you down and give it to a classmate for them to do the same!" He says,

I get on my phone and zone out looking at the dude across from me, I look at his facial features he fine as fuck!
He mugs me "the fuck you looking at!" He says, "my bad!" I say looking back at my phone,
"Ms Greenfield I'm gonna have to ask you to get off your phone!" My teacher says, "can I use the bathroom?" I ask him,

I go to the bathroom and wash my face, "is it true you dad beats your ass?" A girl ask me laughing,
I just look at her and see Reneé looking at us laughing, Reneé was my bestfriend until I told her about what happens at home,
She made fun of me about it and spreed rumors about me, I walk away from them and go back to my class.
"You have to stop walking out people's cla- ion gotta do shit!" I cut my teacher off putting three facts about myself down on paper,

Mind you I'm high I lose my balance and fall, "move I can barely stand myself!" I say getting up as people look at me,
I put my hood on as we walk out, we get in the car with that mean dude and the dude I gave my ig,

Not about the abuse tho I don't plan on telling him cause it's not his business,
I don't nobody feeling sympathy for me and what I go through!
"You hungry?" Dee ask me I nod my head, "whatchu want?" He ask me "it don't matter!" I say,
He gets me a fo fa fo and we go to someone's house,
I eat the food and get a call from my sperm donor, "can I go to a bathroom?" I ask quietly,
"Yes it's right there!" Dee says pointing to a door, I walk in there and answer the phone,
"Hello?" I say "WHERE THE FUCK ARE YOU?" He yells,

I make static noises and hang up I start crying, this shit is so annoying who would think your own dad would have animosity towards you because you mom died while giving birth to you,
It's ok tho I'm gon prove everybody who doubted me wrong, and they gon all regret the way they treated me when I'm more successful then them all,
I wipe my tears and go back in the living room, I sit down and Dee looks at me
I get on my phone "what's wrong?" He ask me, "nothing!" I say looking at him I look back at my phone,
"Y'all ready?" The dude ask rolling a blunt, "yea come on!" Dee says I get up and go with them,
We smoke as we ride back to school,

"Dee!" I say walking up to his locker, "huh?" He ask me "can you give me a ride?" I ask him,
"Yea come on!" He says we leave and he gives me a ride to work, I work at foot locker I make good money and get free shoes so I like my job.

She buys them and leaves "don't forget to text me about the party!" She says, "ok!" I say back I do what I usually do at work.

I see Dee "mcht you really stayed?" I ask him, "yea why not you ready?" He ask me I nod my head,
We go back to his house "hey auntie!" I say hugging Dee's mom my dads sister,
"Hey baby!" She says hugging me back, "whatchu been doing?" I ask her sitting on the couch,

"Why don't you be coming over?" She ask me, "I be working and don't have a ride I walk to work and school!" I say shrugging,

He takes to trash out and comes back in his room.
"So how you been?" I ask him laying out on top of his bed, "Ight I guess how bout you?" He ask me sitting next to me,

This nigga was like my brother growing up, we're both the same age I'm a couple months older,

We go sleep I wake up the next morning, "I'm gon only be a few and we can go to yo house!" He says,

We leave "be quiet don't wake him up and stay in my room!" I say, he nods his head and we go in the house,
We quietly walk to my room and I close the door gently, this was nothing new to Dee my dad has always been aggressive
That's why non of the family hangs around him,
"Ok I need to take a shower I'll be real quick!" I say, he nods his head getting on his phone,
I get in the shower and get dressed real quick, "come on!" I say grabbing my shit we leave my room and my dad comes out his,
"What was y'all doing in there by y'all selfs?" He asked us walking up to me, "I took a shower and he waited to give me a ride!" I say still walking.

He laughs as we pull up to the school, we go to our class and sit by each other in the same seats,
"Nakaya headphones out!" My teacher says, "Leave her alone she ain't bothering nobody!" Dee says,
"Right!" The other boy who's name I still haven't got says,
Paris walks in and looks at me "you ain't hit me up bout the party!" She says,
"I forgot my bad!" I say shrugging putting my headphones back in,
Threw away yo love letters, I thought it'd make me feel better, I finally got you out my bed but I still can't get you out me head!
Summer walker plays in my earphones I change the song cause that song gon make me cry,
I do the assignment my teacher gives us, "how you understand this?" The boy behind me ask,

A whole bunch of thoughts come to my head at once and I start feeling sick, "can I go to the bathroom?" I ask my teacher,
"Go!" She says I get up and go to the bathroom, I pop a two Xanax in my mouth
"And back to normal!" I say drinking some water from the fountain,
I go back to class and the bell rings I get my shit and leave,
I go to my other class and sit across from the mean ass boy,

Two weeks later...

The door bust open "WHO THE FUCK IS THIS?" A elder man ask, "man go somewhere else with that yelling shit!" Malik says getting up,

I just sit there and get on my phone I just mind my business!
Malik takes care of him and comes back in the room, "get dressed fuck you just doing sitting there?" He ask me aggressively,

I see my dad passed out on the couch in his own throw up,

I wake up at 3 am "damn drugs really fuck you up!" I say looking at myself in the mirror,
My face don't even look the same I look so tired,
"Need to stop taking these!" I say looking at the xans taking another one,
My dad comes in my room and bust in the bathroom throwing up,
"The fuck you doing up?" He ask me lazily slapping me,

I clean it up and get in the shower making sure to lock my door,
1 month later...

He nods his head and I hand up going to sleep, I wake up and take a pill I take a shower and get dressed,
I look at the time 5:23 pm I go to Dee's house,
"Wassup I was just bout to leave!" He says, "where you finna go?" I ask him as he walks out the house,
We walk to his car "the trap!" He says as we get in, I nod my head "you hungry?" He ask me
I nod my head and he gets us some food, I gag as soon as I smell it "that shit stink!" I gag,

We pull up to the trap and get out "so you and Malik?" Dee ask as we walk up to the trap,

They get up and start working and I get on my phone, "what chu be high off of?" Malik ask me,

I stay their for a while and go back to mines I walk in my door and see all my dads friends sitting around drinking,
I walk to my room "come here!" My dad says, I lock my door and he bangs on it "open this damn door!" He says,
"Whatchu need I'm getting dressed!" I say, "nevermind then dumbass bitch!" He says kicking my door,
I put some pajamas on and walk out my room for something to eat, "hey sexy!" One of my dads friends say rubbing up behind me,

I climb in my bed smoke a blunt and go to sleep,

I walk to school "you finally came!" My teacher says,

I get the urge to throw up and get up and go to the bathroom,
I throw up in the bathroom sink and wash it out,
"The fuck did I eat to mess my stomach up!" I say to myself washing my face popping a xan.
I go back to my class "Miss Greenfield you can't just walk out the class like that!" My teacher says,
"My bad I had to use the bathroom hella quick!" I say,
I sit back in my seat and put my head down going to sleep...
