Leo's POV:
for the past hour, we have been searching for the documents in the underground rooms. but to no avail. we needed to find the documents, the same papers that may lead them to where the contracts are hidden in the pentagon.
"its a pleasure to meet you again. Leonidas Gambino"
Romeo.
"the pleasure is all yours." i turned around to face him
"still stuck up as ever i see."
i didn't reply.
"i cant let you barge in my property and get away with it can i?" he raised an eyebrow
i quickly took out my gun and aimed it at him, shooting him in the shoulder, making him fall on his knees.
"weak aim" he took out his own gun while he was still kneeling on the ground.
i launched towards him and threw a punch towards his jaw, followed by a blow in his stomach. he clutched his body from the pain.
he took me by surprise and threw a punch at my stomach, then grabbed his gun that fell on the ground and aimed at me.
i searched for my gun. it was too far away for me to be able to get it.
he shot his gun and it was aimed at my stomach. i looked down and saw blood pooling around my shirt and seeping through on to my hand, as a painful sensation erupted in my body.
i was wearing a vest over it so the bullet didn't cause any permanent harm. i chuckled at his misaim and pulled out the knife hidden in my vest and threw it at his stomach. it went right through making him scream in agony.
"you'll pay for this!"
"no. your paying for your actions you bastard. an eye for an eye" i laughed through the pain
"maybe i should make that kitten pay instead." he smirked
i froze.
"that little aurora" he smiled devilishly
"Leo" i heard a voice calling from the stairs behind me and turned around to see her descending the stairs.
"Aurora! get back and find the physical copies of the pentagon" i yelled and chase and her went off to search for it
"i see she has taking a liking towards you, too sad she'll be mine the moment i put my hands on her. I'll make her forget you ever existed"
"maybe, but over your dead body."
"no, over yours" he got up from his knees and shot his gun again.
this time it went through my leg making me drop down to the ground. i was kneeling down on the ground waiting for the drip to stop.
when i heard an agonizing scream coming from Romeo.
i looked behind me and realized that chase shot him in the leg.
"Leo! they placed explosives around the building, its going to blow up in 10 minutes. we have to get out!" chase yelled as he ran up to me
suddenly men from the ultores came towards Romeo and picked him up.
chase tried shooting them but to no avail, we were only three against a dozen.
"LEO! CHASE! i found them! all of them" aurora came running towards us waving the papers in her hand
"good job baby"
"Leo." she gasped and crouched down beside me and wrapped her arms around me softly, making sure to not touch my wounds
"I'm sorry Leo. i should've been with you."
"I'm fine principessa. were going back home now." she helped me as we stood up.
she looked me in my eyes and smiled as she caressed my face. those beautiful eyes.
"come on, lets go back to our home." i smiled at her beautiful face
"our home, i like the sound of that" she smiled back
another gun shot ran through the air, but it was near. i looked around trying to find the source of the noise, but the person must've ran back and we didn't know who it hit.
"Leo..." i looked down at aurora and she suddenly dropped to the ground
"AURORA!" i fell down beside her on the ground
"NO!" chase tried to pick her up but he was heavily injured.
"it hurts-" she choked out between sobs
"were going to take you back home. your going to be safe, come on" i tried to pick her up but both my shoulder and leg gave up, i yelled in pain.
"Leo...listen- to me." she slowly pulled my face towards hers
"no, save your energy were gonna get back"
"Leo if you love me listen to me, chase too" she tried raising her voice but failed because of the pain.
"Rory..." chase crouched down beside her from the other side
"the gun shot reached deep." she sobbed quietly as we looked at the blood pooling around her on the ground
"no, please don't say that, where gonna get through this" chase yelled as he clutched her close to him, his tears staining her shoulder
"i don't want to go either. but you cant cheat death. remember your words leo?" she turned towards me with a sad smile
"death doesnt discriminate, well now I'm going" i shook my head in denial as she pulled me close, tears were streaming down my face.
"don't cry baby, I'm going to be fine." she smiled through the pain
"chase, take care of Alex, she loves you with her whole being. tell her how much i love her, tell all of them. tell them that I'm proud i died fighting beside them" aurora cried as she held her brothers hand
"you have no time, its going to blow up. there's no point in trying to save me because I'll be dead before we reach the door" she held my face in her hands
"if you leave me I'm a dead man" i cried in pain
"i love you. Leo, i love you so much and i regret not telling you. i regret every time i wasn't beside you. i regret not believing you. I'm sorry, so sorry"
the first time she tells me she loves me, is the last time i will hear it.
"you don't have to apologize, your automatically forgiven." i chuckled as she smiled at me
she slowly closed her eyes as she winced in pain "i love you more principessa. don't leave me!" i yelled
"it hurts, i cant" she choked out blood
"tell Liam and Rosie how much of a family they are to me" she managed to breath out
"i love you, both of y-" she clutched her stomach in pain
"Leo, leave. you have 2 minutes to get out, if you don't i will never forgive you. i love you baby" she urged me
she closed her eyes slowly. "I'm only sad that I'm leaving you."
"i love you like the honeysuckles love the thorn" i put my forehead against hers
she took her last breaths.
she left this world, smiling.
the other half of my soul is gone.
"NO AURORA!"
"Leo you heard her! we have to leave." chase yelled through the tears and helped me up
i was too shocked to speak as we ran outside.
her body is there. we left her body. she was so selfless, till the last moment.
we reached the border of the house.
and it blew up.
and everything went black.
