Hayden POV
By the time I woke up again it was early afternoon, I was still drowsy, even though I just woke up, I slowly turn my head to see Bucky, he was reading a book,
I blinked a few time to rid myself of the blurry vision,
Bucky looked up, then back down at the book but did a double take seeing that I was awake,
"Hey sugar plumb, you've been in and out of sleep all day," He said standing up,
I just looked at him in a daze,
"Where's Clint?" I asked
"Told him to shower, he was starting to smell ripe," Bucky said scrunching his face,
I chuckled, which caused me to cough in pain,
"Easy," He said
"Well your the one who made me laugh," I mumbled
"Point taken," He said smiling at me,
"You think you can eat something?" He asked
"I can try," I said tiredly
"Alright I'll be right back," He said walking out the room briskly
I looked at the ceiling my breathing steady,
"Okay, I've got tomato soup, with grilled cheese slices, and crackers, and some ginger tea, Laura insisted," Bucky said
I smiled at him weakly He sat the tray on the nightstand,
"Here let me help you sit up," He said
He grabbed me gently from under my arms, and sat me against the pillows,
"You okay?" He asked
I nodded,
I ate the soup, crackers grilled cheese and the tea, me and Bucky were sitting there talking, when suddenly a harsh wave of nausea hit me,
"You okay," He asked
I shook my head no,
"I'm gonna be sick," I said starting to hunch over the side of the bed,
Bucky stood up immediately grabbing a trash can, and as soon as that happened I tossed everything,
I was crying as I got sick because Between the throwing up and the pain from the wounds and broken bones,
"Shh," Bucky said rubbing my back,
"Bruce get your ass up here!" Bucky yelled
Just as I thought it stopped it came back just as strong,
My breathing getting ragged from all the throwing up,
"What's happening to her!" Bucky said
"She can't keep anything down!" Bucky yelled again,
"It's from the infection," Bruce said
After throwing up from what seemed like forever, I laid my head against the headboard,
I winced as I breathed heavily,
"Can.. Can you help me lay back down, I'm so tired," I mumbled
Bucky nodded
He helped me slide back down on the bed, my head against the fluffy pillows,
I closed my eyes and I hear mumbling in the hallway,
Clint POV
After taking a shower, since Bucky pretty much told me I was starting to smell, I was in my room thinking about what Hayden told me, it caused me to smile,
A kid who didn't want to be close to anyone, who had such a wall up that she wouldn't dare let anyone break it down,
And now, now I've gotten it down, she told me she loves me, after everything is over, I've discussed it with Laura and she thinks its a great idea,
We're going to adopt Hayden, make her a Barton, I thought I smiled as I left my bedroom,
"Why is she so tired?" Bucky asked Bruce outside of Hayden's room,
"It's a few things," Bruce said
"What's going on?" I asked
"Well, Hayden woke up, and I gave her some food, but she ended up throwing it up," Bucky said
My eyes wide,
"And like I said it's from the infection, also her being tired is from the drugs and infection," Bruce said
"It's going to take a few days," He said
I nodded,
I walked into the room, where I see Hayden reading a book but her arms slowly dropped and she would shake her head and pick up her arms and start reading again, I could tell she was fighting sleep,
I took the book from her, she looked up at me slowly,
"You need to sleep," I said
"I wanted to wait for you..." She said tiredly
"I'm here now Chipmunk, now sleep, you need it," I said tucking some of her hair behind her ear,
"I'm tired of sleeping..." She said
"I know but it's not for much longer, now go to sleep, I'll be here when you wake up," I said
Her eyes slowly flutter shut,
I kissed her forehead,
"I'll always be here," I whispered
