Amelia's POV
Thankfully I made it out of Chicago without incident. Though the entire way to Texas I kept looking over my shoulder and checking my review mirror to be sure Henry wasn't following me. I've never been a paranoid person but it looks like I'm going to have to start being a little more observant with my surroundings after this. It took two days to get from Chicago to Tyler, Texas. It wasn't too bad though and it gave me time to calm my nerves so that when I get to Ember I can be my normal bubbly self and she won't be any wiser to my problems. Ember always was a caring soul and she has fixed way more than a few of my problems over the span of our friendship, but I wanted to be the one who was there for her with her wedding. My problems could wait and hopefully they won't be a problem anymore anyway since I hopefully made it to where Henry didn't have time to wake up and figure out I was leaving until I was long gone. I had called Ember after I left my apartment to let her know that I was able to come down early because I wanted to help her with the last minute prep for the wedding. She squealed in my ear so loudly I had to pull the phone away, yup she was definitely excited to get to see me.
I pulled up to the Blood and Bones MC Ranch and couldn't hold back the whistle. These were some fine looking men at their gate. One of their two guards walked up to my car and looked in. The patch on his cut said "prospect". I have spent some time around a couple biker clubs during my travels so I know a few things.
"Hey there good lookin' names Amelia, I'm a friend of Ember's and am here for the wedding." I batted my eyelashes and smiled innocently at the prospect.
He gulped before looking down at my chest, "uuuh yea, Prez had said a friend of Flame's would be arriving soon."
Oh yea, I had forgot that Ember had said Hawk had given her the biker name Flame. "Well do you think I could maybe go see her now?" I chuckled at his continued stare at my chest.
He seemed to come out of trance then and looked back up to my face and nodded before scurrying back to the gate to help the other guard open it up.
I couldn't help but shake my head at him. Cute kid but a little too young for me he looked to only be about 21 and at 30 I just wasn't interest in being a cougar just yet. I pulled through the gate and gave the prospect a wink on my way through. Just because I wouldn't do anything with him didn't mean I couldn't play with him a little.
I pulled up to a huge building that had bikes lined up out front. This must be the clubhouse. I hopped out of my car and walked quickly towards the door. I couldn't help my excitement; I hadn't seen Ember in several years. She had already left St. Louis before I made it to Chicago or else we might have seen each other before now.
I grabbed the door handle and shoved the door open with a loud bang. All Eyes were on me but I only sought out one set of eyes and once I saw her I couldn't help but shout out, "Where's the tequila Bitch!" while holding my arms open. Ember squealed and ran towards me slamming into me and wrapping her arms around me. We both laughed at our antics.
"I cannot believe you're really here! I thought for sure you wouldn't be able to come." Ember confessed while still holding onto me tightly.
"Of course I came. My sister is getting married I would never miss that." I felt sad that she thought I would actually not come. I've missed a few important things for her but I would have never missed this.
"Come on, you need to meet Hawk and I'll get you some tequila." She said that last sentence with a wink. She grabbed my hand and began to lead me towards to very large man that she had been standing next to before she ran over to me. He was looking at Ember like she was the most precious thing in the world. "Hawk, this is Amelia!" Ember nearly shouts as she is bursting at the seams with excitement.
"Little Flame, I'm right by you." He tells her causing her to blush. He bends down and kisses her temple before turning to me and offering his hand. "It's nice to finally meet you; Flame hasn't stopped talking about your coming since you called the other night."
Alright I've already decided I love Hawk for sole basis of how he treats Ember I can see she is his world. "Likewise, thanks for being okay with me coming here early." I replied to the big guy and then I turned back to Ember who was looking up him smiling, "So where's that tequila you promised?"
"Bull!" Ember called out. A guy with another prospect patch comes over to us on the other side of the bar. "A Double shot of tequila for my friend Amelia here!"
"What you're going to let me drink alone? We have to celebrate! We've been reunited, you're getting married, and you've finally settled down!" I cannot believe she would really have me drinking alone, "Make that two doubles Bull!" I call out to the prospect.
"No really Amelia it's fine, you drink however much you want." Ember tries to persuade me.
"No way we have to show these bikers up! Unless there's a reason you don't want to drink?" I started to think more about it. "There is a reason isn't there? Are you pregnant!?" I may have shouted that last part and now the whole bar has gone silent.
Ember froze at my questions but Hawk came up behind her and wrapped his arms around her while placing his hands on her stomach. "Well we were going to wait until after the wedding to announce it, but I guess the cat is now out of the bag. Little Flame here is pregnant with our future president!"
The bar erupted into cheers and men were coming up to congratulate the happy couple. It was then that I noticed one man in the corner that was staring at me intently. Though I didn't get a creepy vibe from him like normally would from someone behaving that way for some reason having him watch me like that made me feel safe. He looked like a Greek god with his chiseled features. I could tell he had a lot of muscle, deep brown eyes, chestnut hair that he kept cut short, He was tall maybe just over 6 foot, and a chin that could cut glass. He didn't look like the kind of guy that smiles a lot and for some reason I had a strong desire to make him smile.
I was pulled away from staring at the Greek god by a loud booming voice. "What's everyone in here celebrating?" Cass had walked into the clubhouse with a good looking man holding her close to him. Cass smiled when she noticed me.
Ember grabbed my hand and lead me over to the couple. "Amelia here unknowingly announced to the whole club that I'm pregnant." Gage's face beamed and he picked up Ember and spun her around. Hawk came up and yanked Ember away from him though and then I tuned out what they were saying. Cass had a smile on her face but she looked sad. I only know a little bit of her story but I know that because of an incident that occurred she most likely won't be able to have kids.
"Are you okay Cass?" I quietly asked her, I didn't want to embarrass her.
"Yea, I just, Gage and I have been trying. I know that it's really unlikely though. It will be great to become and aunt thought. Don't you think?" She asked me trying to get a little more excited.
"Oh yea! You and I are going to spoil that little princess rotten!" I told her excitedly trying to cheer her up.
"Princess!? Oh no, it is definitely a boy in there." Hawk said matter-of-factly.
Ember rolled her eyes, "You know it could very well be a girl and then what are you going to do?"
"Nope, definitely a boy." A couple of the men around us nodded their heads in agreement.
"Alpha biker males." Ember muttered shaking her head. "Alright Amelia let's get you that tequila."
We went up and I immediately tossed back the shot that Bull had poured me early. "Pour me another Bull! And where's the music me and my girls need to dance! We have to celebrate my future niece!"
"Wow there girly better slow down. Little thing like you probably will struggle to handle all that tequila if you keep throwing back doubles like that." Said a big man who had come walking up to our little group.
"Oh Buster, you should not have said that to her." Ember smiled shaking her head.
"Don't worry big fella I can handle my own around a bottle of tequila. How about you do shot for shot with me tonight and we'll see how it goes?" Oh I am going to love this.
"You're on!" Buster shook my hand. "Screw are you going to get in on this?" He turned to the other man that had walked up with him.
"You bet!" Screw replied, "Bull set us up!"
With that more tequila began to flow and rock music came from the speakers in the room. I made Ember and Cass dance with me. I even got a couple of the bikers to dance along with me. I noticed their clubwhores giving me glares, but I just ignored them. I also noticed that a certain Greek god in the corner continued to follow my movements everywhere I went in the bar whether I was drink, dancing, or sitting around a table. He was there watching me go continuing to give me that sense of security.
