~ Ali's POV ~
I woke up feeling so tired and groggy. I must have slept really well.
I rubbed my eyes and sucked my thumb.
I made stretching noises as I yawned.
I was so tired I didn't heard someone come in the room.
Daddy stood over the crib and I looked up at him. He smiled as he lifted me out and onto his hip.
"Morning Baby." He softly said rocking me.
"Mwowiwngw Dwadwdy." I was so sleepy it came out all gibberish.
I felt so warm on his chest.
He then put me on the table and took off my pyjamas. He undid my diaper and changed me.
All while he was doing this I was humming to myself. I sucked my thumb and twirled my curls.
When he had finished he dressed me into some comfy trackies and an oversized hoodie.
I held my hands up to him and he picked me up, my head resting on his shoulder.
He then took me downstairs to the kitchen.
I didn't see Dada
"Daddy where Dada?" I asked.
"Dada has gone for a meeting with Tom." He smiled.
"Back soon?" I softly asked.
"Yes, he'll be back very soon." He smiled.
He then placed me in the highchair and started making breakfast.
"Daddy?" I asked.
"Yes Baby?" He smiled while cutting up fruit.
"When Dada and you get married?" I asked.
"In a few weeks?" He smiled. "Are you excited?"
"So excited! Can Adri and Lila come?" I asked.
"Of course they can!" He smiled coming over and placing my breakfast in front of me.
"Daddy say peeeease." I smiled. He came back over and crouched at eye level.
"Pleaseeee." He smiled.
I gave him the fruit.
"Daddy say thank wouuu." I smiled.
"Thank youuu." He chuckled.
I loved when Daddy did this.
When I had finished my breakfast Daddy picked me up and took me to the living room where he turned the TV on and placed me by my toys.
A minutes later I heard the door go.
My head shot up and I smiled at Daddy.
"Who that?" He playfully asked.
"Dada!" I smiled getting up and running to the door.
I saw Dada and he put a bag down and I ran into his arms.
He lifted me up and I snuggled into him.
"Dada." I smiled.
"Hello Baby." He smiled.
I clung to him and hugged him tightly.
Daddy then came in.
"How was Tom then?" He asked.
"Yeah he was good, he said he will sort something out today and should be complete by tomorrow." Dada smiled.
"That sounds good then." Daddy said.
"I brought something back for you Ali!" Dada smiled at me.
"My eyes widened.
He handed me one of the lollies.
"Thank wou Dada!" I squealed. He helped me get the wrapper off and he handed it to me.
"Dada say peeease." I help the lolly up to him.
"Pleaseeee." He smiled.
"Dada say thank wouuu." I smiled.
"Thank youuu." He chuckled.
I giggled.
I then started eating the lolly.
"Will wou play cars Dada?" I asked.
"Sure Baby." He smiled. "You coming?" He asked Daddy.
"I'll come soon, I have some work I've got to do." He said.
"Okay then." He smiled.
He then carried me into the living room.
He placed me on the floor and sat next to me.
"Which colours first?" He asked me.
"Blue and pink." I smiled.
~ A little while later ~
I was about 3pm and Daddy still wasn't done in the office. I did miss him but Dada made me feel better.
We had played games all day and couldn't have asked for a better day.
I then heard the office door open.
My head spun round to Dada who smiled at me.
"I wonder who that could be?" He playfully said.
"Daddy!" I squealed.
I saw him come in the room and got up and flung my arms up to him.
"Daddy! Daddy!" I smiled as he lifted me onto his hip.
"Hello Baby! Sorry I was so long!" He smiled.
"Dat oki." I giggled as I played with his hair.
He carried me to the living room where he sat down on the sofa with me on his lap.
"It is a very special day the day after tomorrow." Daddy smiled at me.
I then remembered what day it was!
"Oh I just can't remember." Dada playfully said.
"I just can't think.." Daddy playfully said. "Can you remember Ali?"
"Birthday Daddy, Birthday!" I squealed.
"What, my birthday?" Dada asked.
"No! My birthday Dada, my birthday!" I laughed.
"Oh of course! How could we forget?" Daddy chuckled.
"Daddy and Dada funny." I laughed.
"What would you like for your birthday Baby?" Dada asked.
"I not really sure." I thought. I mean it was understandable. I hadn't celebrated my birthday in 15 years!
That's right. 15 years...
"We know that this could be a big deal for you so if you have any worries, you can say." Daddy smiled.
"Thank Daddy." I smiled.
~ 1am ~
I jolted awake and saw myself back at the orphanage.
My heart missed a beat as I flung the covers off me.
I got up and heard the door open.
Matron stood in the door.
She came closer to me with possessed eyes and grabbed my body.
I screamed bloody murder and she tried to hurt me.
"GET OFF ME!" I screamed.
"I'VE GOT YOU BABYGIRL!" She shouted over my screams.
"I'M NOT YOUR LITTLE!" I screamed again.
"CALL ME MOMMY!" She shouted.
I kept on screaming and screaming until I started loosing breath and started hyperventilating.
"LET GO OF ME! YOUR NOT MY MOM!" I screamed.
"JUST SHUT UP!" She shouted.
Just then the door swung open and I didn't see who walked in. Matron dropped me on the floor and the last thing I heard was.
"LET HER GO!"
I then sat up and started breathing heavily.
I looked at my hands and at the ceiling.
It was just a nightmare...
But damn that was so scary.
I started crying quietly and climbed over the crib. I grabbed my penguin and lamb. I then opened the door carefully and stepped out.
It was dark and scary. I made my way to Daddy and Dada's room. I was about to go in.
"Baby?" I heard behind me.
I jumped out my skin and turned round my heart in my mouth.
"Are you okay?" Daddy said worriedly as he crouched down.
I burst into tears and ran into his arms.
He held me close.
"I scared Daddy." I cried. He stood up with me in his arms and rocked me.
"What's scary Baby?" He softly asked.
"Scary dream Daddy. Matron say mommy. Daddy not there." I got out between sobs.
He rocked me gently.
"I've got you Baby-Girl. Daddy's not letting go." He softly said.
He held me close to him and I was still crying.
"Daddy won't let go Baby. He's got you." He softly said.
He rubbed my back and hummed quietly.
After about 10 minutes I had finally calmed down and fallen asleep.
