"Yo, pig boy! Heads up!" I say, tossing the cape in Techno's direction
He swiftly turns around and moves his arms in order to catch his falling cape. Once he caught the cape, he draped it over his shoulders once again to put it back on.
"Thanks" He replied
"Yeah, no problem" I say, ringing my clothes to get rid of some of the water
There was no words exchanged in the moment, only the drips of water making contact with the stone floor.
Silence. It wasn't a bad sound, but not a good other either. Sometimes you wonder if you did or say something wrong in the moment, but other times it could be because no one knows what to say.
Once I got my clothes damp enough, I turned to the direction of Techno who was just standing there staring at me.
"...Whats up?" I question
"Your new outfit surprised me is all..." He replied
"What? Does it not suit me? Is it not good?" I questioned "At least I'm not the one trying to imitate royalty, lol"
"To tell you the truth, I am pretty much a king" He says
"Of what? I've been told you're the 'Blood God', but I've never heard of you being royalty" I point out
"I'm the king of potatoes" He says
"...what?" I say in confusion
Is this dude serious..?
"I have potato farms all over the place..!!! My main one being far away, but the second one i'm semi proud with is at Pogtopia" He says
"...Are- are you seriously flaunting potatoes..?" I asked again
This dude can't be serious. He's calling himself the potato king... That sounds like a waste of life...
"My reasons for no longer sleeping, my reasons for never being in actual conflict... is all because of my potatoes" Techno says
"Now I want to see this potato farm of yours..." I mutter
"If I did show you-- actually... Now to think of it... Maybe they will let you in... How about we head over to Pogtopia now?" He asks
"What about Philza?" I asked, eyeing up the room we all were sleeping in only a few hours ago
The manz been sleeping all this time, when me and Techno were out, while I was out- he hasn't woken up yet- and it's slightly worrying since this is a very echoey room, and I thought the rebound of our voices would of woken Philza up.
"Eh, he's still sleep deprived. He'll be out for a while longer" Techno mutters, walking towards the exit "Follow me"
Bruh- I got back not that long ago-
Regardless, I followed the pink male out of his base and we walked through the forests once again.
Seriously- why isn't there paths? I swear to god, you can get lost in these forests so easily if you aren't paying attention- you'd be living out here for months if you ever got lost...
And- I'm not so familiar with these woods, I just go in one direction and hope for the best... So I'm lucking to have Techno showing me the way.
"So... Did you look a little longer to get back than I thought you would... Did something happen?" Techno suddenly asks
"Hmm? Uhh, well- kinda..?" I said "After I got my clothes I ran into George, Sapnap and Dream before I left"
"Did they do anything weird?" He asks
"Uhhh..." I trail off
Does what they did really count as weird? Teasing the hell out of me, Dream speaking in a way that mislead what actually happen... like- seriously. He was there for that? What isn't he here for???
"...We just talked- the conversation was a little odd, but nothing too alarming..." I muttered a reply
Nothing too alarming to Techno that is...
"Mhhhnn, if you say so" He murmurs
He sounds like he doesn't believe in my words- oh well.
We continued walking through the forest, the sun barely reaching us through the leaves. We enjoyed each others company in silence once more.
That was until we began coming closer to a gigantic cobblestone and pink wool striped tower in the distance-
How the actual fuck did I not see this while I was making my way to Manberg before?
We walk a little more until we stopped near a small hill with a horse in a hole in the ground near by. The cobble and pink wooled tower wasn't that far from where we were standing, "fear" was built in capital letters behind it.
"Is... this where Pogtopia is?" I questioned
"Yeah, and also- The Intimidation Tower was built by Tommy" Techno pointed out
"It's called the Intimidation Tower..?" I asked, totally baffled of what I'm seeing in front of me
"You seem pretty speechless, so I guess it works" He says
The only reason I'm speechless is because I've never seen a pink tower made that's suppose to intimidate people...
"Well, get enough fresh air- you'll need it" Techno says, walking to the hill
I was confused by what he meant, but I listened to him and took in oxygen regardless.
He then starts digging into the wall, revealing a small room behind it.
Seriously- why are so many people in his part of the world obsessed with secret bases???
I followed Techno inside and we walked down a flight of stairs before we entered a pretty giant lit-up underground ravine. Stairs and bridge ways were built in place in order to get around and to the lower sections of the ravine.
"Welcome to Pogtopia" He says
We used the stairs to go to the very bottom of the ravine, I inhaled a little bit but then instantly started to cough due to the dust in the air.
"Ha-! Try and get use to it, we'll be out soon" He chuckles lightly
"Oh my fucking god- how can you breathe down here??" I say in between coughs
"I pretty much can handle any situation" He says
"Is that soo..?" I hummed, getting closer to him
"Uhhh.... yeah?" He replies
I stared at his face- or of what I could see of it anyways. I could only see the lower half since his damn mask was in the way of me seeing his whole face...
Now I wanna see what his face looks like behind that mask...
I slowly inch my hand closer and closer towards Techno's mask and all he did was stare at my hand, but soon enough when I got only a few centimeters away... he grabbed my wrist lightly to stop me.
"U-uhhh... what are you doing?" He asks
"You and that mask of yours... I haven't seen you without it... And I was curious" I admit
There wasn't any other reason I could come up with, so it was the best choice to tell the truth to him. Like- how else are you suppose to lie when you're about to grab someone's mask? 'Oh- sorry! I just wanted to get that ant off your face..!'
As if-
Techno didn't say anything to me, he just held my wrist and silently stared at me, into my eyes- into my very soul.
The gaze made me more and more nervous the longer he stared at me. So, I decided to get back onto the main reason why we were here.
"So- uhhh- the potato farm..." I muttered out
"Oh right..." He mutters out, letting go of my wrist and walking forward, motioning me to follow his lead, which I did
I was taken to a little room a little ways down the ravine, Techno allowed me to walk down the little corridor first, and so I did. And once I got to the end of it, I saw the farm.
"...This is the farm you're proud of? It looks like a normal farm to me" I muttered, peering inside the room
The room was just a side room where there was a small fields of potatoes already planted and grown.
"Oh, it's not just any farm..." Techno says "Do you see that lever on the ground?"
I took a quick glance down below me to see a lever there.
"Yes?" I replied
"I'd like for you to pull it" He says
"Uhh- okay?" I say in a questioning tone
With that, I crouched down and placed my hands around the lever, pulling it towards me in order to activate it.
Shortly after me activating the lever, I begin to hear water...
Looking up from where I was, I saw that there was a little water stream being produced because of me activating the lever. It was slowly pulling the potatoes out of the soil and drifting its way down in our direction, entering the hoppers once at the end.
After all the potatoes were in the hoppers, I pulled the lever once more and the water stopped flowing.
"Ohhh, automatic potato farming..." I muttered, taking a stand and walking into the room
"Hehh??? I thought you'd be more impressed..!!" He exclaimed
"Huh? I mean- sure. It's always impressive to see people with redstone contraptions, but it really isn't that hard to make things like this" I tell him "What? Did you make this?"
"Uhhh- no. Tubbo actually made this to make farming more easier for me. Since I always do it by hand" Techno explained
"Ohhhh? Is that why you're structured like that?? No wonder..." I hummed
I didn't even realize what left my mouth in that moment, but when I finally did realize, it was too late. I just forced myself to act casual, which was hard to do when all Techno did was stare at me in slight surprise and confusion.
He didn't say anything, he looked away.
But- this time around... I think I noticed a slight change to him- but it could of just been my eyes playing up... I mean- I thought I just saw him blush-
"...Was that a little weird? Sorry, but it's true. How your body is structured is quite amazing... And by just farming potatoes..? It's really impressive..." I said
And- I think with that I made the atmosphere a whole lot more weird.
"....U-uhhhh... I think I should get these replanted before the soil dries up..." Techno says, walking over to the hoppers and crouching down to take out some potatoes out
I walked up and crouched beside him. He noticed I was beside him and turned his head in my direction to look at me. I smiled softly.
"I'll help out then" I say, taking out potatoes as well
"You don't have to..." He says
"Trust me, I know. But I still want to help out the potato king" I say
No more words were exchanged, he just smiled back at me. My heart tugged at the sight, I don't think I've seen him smile at me like this before... It's more softer than all his other ones. And it seemed genuine and more directed towards me. Which, was a nice change.
For the rest of the time, Technoblade showed me how to plant potatoes. He would scold me at time when I would apparently plant them wrong- and half the time he would just stand around until I planted it right.
By the end of it, I grew tired. We finished planting all of the potatoes, and while I felt drained... Techno seemed like he could go another hundred fields.
