Aurora's POV:
i woke up late.
and that means Leonidas is going to burst a vein from anger.
i quickly used the bathroom and went down to check whether they left or not.
by the time i reached the ground floor, the mafia members were putting the mission's equipment in the car. i ran up to chase, who was putting a few bags inside the car while everyone already got in the car.
"Chase, how could you go without telling me"
he chuckled "i wasn't going to leave without saying goodbye, i was gonna wake you." he pulled me into an embrace
you better come back to me. i cant lose you again"
"and your not allowed to get hurt, no injures"
"cant promise you that" i glared at him and he put his hands up in surrender.
i looked around and my eyes landed on a Leonidas sitting in the car doing some weird shit with his guns. i just remembered Liam.
"chase where's Liam?" i asked confused as to why he isn't here saying bye to his brother.
"last time i saw him he was in his room, Leo told him to stay there and not get out"
i quickly turned around and started walking back to the house
"where are you going?" he yelled
"don't leave till i come back !" i yelled back
i ran up the stairs and through the hallways till i reached Liam's room. i opened the door and saw Liam quietly playing with some race track toy.
"Liam, why aren't you downstairs?"
"Leo, he told me to stay up here and not get out.."
"he is just worried about you, he doesn't want you hurt when he is away from you and cant protect you. do you want to say bye to him?" he nodded his head
"come on lets go" i picked up his tiny body and rested him on my hip and he started playing with my black hair.
we quickly made our way down to the front of the house where the cars where still parked and ready to leave.
"what are you doing muffin, Leo is gonna go ballistic that you went against his orders" chase warned me when he saw me carrying Liam
"i don't care, he has the right to say goodbye to his brother, this may be the last time they see each other. its not fair for Liam neither Leonidas."
(A.N: imma explain why she's being dumb asf and doing this: she lost her own brother suddenly out of nowhere and thought she would never see him again, she never got to say goodbye. so now, leo might go *dead noise* and Liam wouldn't have had the chance to say goodbye, she doesnt want him to make the same mistake she did.)
one of the car doors slammed open, i looked behind chase and saw the devil himself making long strides toward us with anger plastered on his face
"didn't i order you to stay in your room?! why are you bringing him down when i clearly said not t-"
"he has the right to say goodbye to his older brother. what if something happens to you? would you like the last memory he has with you to be this?" Liam buried his head in the crook of my neck
"Leonidas, you may be the leader of the Imperium Empire, but your still Liam's only family, your his older brother."
he stopped for a second. then spoke up.
"fine."
i slowly put Liam on the floor and Leonidas crouched to get to his height.
"hey buddy." he said softly
"hello.." Liam looked up at his brother
"i want you to stay safe, ok buddy?" Liam nodded his head then looked at me.
i understood what he wanted to do, so i smiled encouragingly. Liam slowly came closer to his brother and hugged him.
"i love you Leo.."
Leonidas looked taken aback for a moment, but instantly wrapped his arms around his brothers small figure.
"i love you too, Liam." he ran his hand over his hair
Leonidas pulled back and stood up, he spoke to one of his guards, then he turned to me.
"don't get near him, his nanny will take care of him."
i didn't reply.
"get to the computer lab and wait for our orders." he turned around and he left towards his car.
an elderly women came towards us and smiled softly ushering Liam to come with her.
i hugged chase one last time and he got in the car. he started the car.
"you better come back you asshole!" i hollered at him
before they were gone out of sight chase stuck his middle finger out of the car window, Xavier and Antonio got out of the window and shouted inaudible words because of the distance, and Noah got out of the widow on the roof of the car he is in and started his own dance routine.
i couldn't see them anymore. so i headed inside towards the lab.

its been 3 hours and i haven't gotten any orders from them, the entire lab was getting orders instead. i was the dying slowly from the boredom, so i started watching a movie till i got a order from the mafia.
"crack into this IP address and disable all the security measures now" chase's voice spoke through the ear piece i had on.
"got it."
i followed his orders and got to work. in 5 minutes the IP address was cracked. it took me a bit to find all the enabled security measures in the location this device was in but it was done quickly. before i disabled the last security camera, i saw Leonidas fighting another person swiftly, but he was surrounded.
"chase, Leonidas is on the 3rd floor of the building outnumbered by men in black suits with a scorpion sign"
"on i-" the connection cut off
i realized that Leonidas couldn't leave because the exit door was locked and couldn't be broken because its electrical.
"in 30 seconds Leonidas." i said through the speaker in the floor, since i don't have access to his ear piece because its an encrypted connection, hoping he would understand my message.
"chase i cant connect to Leonidas's earpiece I'm goin to open the door in 30 seconds, I'm going to turn off the light so he can get out, tell him that"
"i lost my connection with him!" he panted " keep it open for a bit longer till we reach him so we can get out, we got what we came here for but we didn't expect them t-" chase said before the connection cut off again.
"damn it" i groaned in frustration
i quickly counted 30 seconds and opened the electric door.
i counted 5 minutes and was about to close it when i suddenly heard shouts around me.
"what is going on?!" a woman shouted
"we lost control of their system" another replied
"i still have control"
"give us access!" one of them said
"if i stop what I'm doing, Leonidas will die! so sit your ass back down and try to find a loop hole in their server. use an incognito server to enter their system you dumbasses" i did not look up from the computer
it took 5 minutes.
5 minutes for me to hack into their eclectic system, close all the lights in the system, give chase a Morse code signal using the lights in the 3rd floor so he can know the door is opened.
"- .... . / -.. --- --- .-. / .. ... / --- .--. . -." the lights flashed in this sequence meaning ' the door is open'
through the camera i saw chase flash his light in this sequence: ".-.. . --- / .. ... / -.. --- .-- -."
"Leo is down. " i gasped as i translated the code he sent and the room fell silent

we waited for hours before we got a bit of news from them.
chase called and said they were 10 minutes away.
he didn't sound good.
i was sitting with Liam in my arms as Esmeralda, his nanny, was making lunch. we heard the screeching of cars pulling up to the front of the house. both me and Liam shot up from our seats and ran towards the door ignoring Esmeraldas calls.
once we were outside we saw chase and the guys get out of the car. i ran to my brother and hugged him so tight.
"chase I'm glad your fine" i said looking up at him and his deep cuts and injuries " you need medical help you prick"
"you should've seen the other guys" he referred to the other mafia's men
i felt a tug at my shirt, i turned around and saw Liam.
"where is Leo?"
i picked him up and turned to chase, he shook his head and pointed to the last car.
some soldiers were taking out a stretcher with Leonidas on it. blood was all over him.
Liam inhaled a sharp breath. he latched onto me and put his head on my shoulder. i held him tight.
Leonidas's stretcher got closer to us and stopped.
"Leo.." Liam chocked out
"hey buddy" Leonidas tried to open his eyes but barely managed to.
"don't go." Liam put his head on my shoulder and cried again. i kept rubbing his back in circular motion so he can rest.
"i will never leave you." Leonidas replied
i unconsciously smiled at Leonidas, then turned to Liam "he is going to be fine, he's the mafia king, isn't he?"
Liam nodded and said "yes, he's even stronger than superman"
they moved Leonidas's stretcher inside.
