a d r u g b u s t ?
Decided that taking the bus downtown would be the better option, as walking would take them too long. Once they got on, they occupied the back seats all together.
"There's this cool arcade indoor recreation place that opened up recently, we should check that out!" Niki turned in his seat to tell them, showing a picture of the place from his phone. They agreed to go down there, hitting the button so the bus could stop.
Walking in, they paid for their arcade tokens as well their wrist bands for entry. They went around competing with each other on different games and machines. There was also an indoor obstacle course with zip lining and trampolines. It was practically just one giant fun place for teenagers and adults.
"We should do the zip line, the queue just got shorter." Yena pointed up towards the people going down the line. They started to make their way up the stairs to the top.
"You're gonna stay down here right?" Jaebeom asked Chaeyeon. She nodded. "Okay, just wait here and we'll be down soon." He made his way up with the others.
"Why are you gonna stay down here? Everyone's going up." Sunghoon stopped just before the stairs.
"I'm not the biggest fan of heights like that. It's a little unsettling hanging from a thin wire in the air." Chaeyeon chuckled. "Go before everyone leaves."
"I'll wait behind with you."
"Sunghoon go, I'll be fine." She laughed.
"Let's go together then, there's a duo one we can do."
"I'm not sure..." Chaeyeon looked up at the people zipping down.
"How about this, we'll go up and if you're really sure about not going then we'll come back down. Does that sound good?" Sunghoon looked to her.
"Fine, but if I don't like it I'm going right back down." Sunghoon nodded, chuckling. They made their way up, getting to the platform.
"Wow, I never thought I'd see Chaeyeon somewhere with heights like this." Naeun laughed.
Chaeyeon rolled her eyes, "don't push my buttons." She slowly walked closer to the railing, a tight grip on the handle.
Each of them went down one by one, until it was just Chaeyeon and Sunghoon left. The staff member called for them next.
"Single or double." The worker called out.
Chaeyeon let a deep breathe of air out, "I'm not too sure about this Sunghoon. Are you sure it's safe?" She looked at him with worry.
"I promise it's safe, grab onto my arm." He offered his arm forward for her to grab.
Once she did he slowly moved her away from the railing and towards the zip line. "Can we do the double please."
The worker got them strapped into the harnesses, clipping them to the line. "Just sit down on the edge side by side for me please." They instructed.
Sunghoon sat down first, reaching his hand for Chaeyeon to help her sit as well. "Don't look down, just focus on me." Sunghoon squeezed her hand tightly, giving her a reassuring smile.
Chaeyeon just focused on his face, not looking down. She replaced his hand for his arm once they were pushed to go down, burying her face deep in his shoulder, her squeals muffled in his shirt.
"Look, we are done." Sunghoon said. Chaeyeon lifted her head slowly, seeing that they were in fact at the other end. She sighed deeply, letting her head fall back.
"See, it wasn't too bad. You did great!" Sunghoon cheered. They were unclipped, getting down on the platform. Chaeyeon arms were still tightly wrapped around Sunghoon's.
"First and last time I'm doing that. I can't believe I just did that." Chaeyeon cried (not actually, more like a whine).
"Chaeyeon! I can't believe you did that! You did great. It wasn't that bad right, you now defeated your fear of heights." Jaebeom smiled.
"I'm still terrified. Never again."
"Let's find a place to eat, I worked up an appetite from all that moving around. There's a couple of restaurants around here we can pick from." Heeseung said. They left and went back out to find a good restaurant. Picking a bbq place just down the street.
Ditching school just after five o'clock, now it was half past eight. Finished eating, they were making their way through the city, just walking wherever the warm night lead them.
"Look, we should do karaoke." Mina pointed toward the building with neon signs and glass windows. It was the karaoke place that everyone went to. They walked in and took the empty room that wasn't occupied.
Sunoo and Jay went up first, deciding on preforming a Twice song. Surprisingly, they're singing wasn't bad, but of course Jay had to add his humorous voice and dance to it.
They spent the next hour or so playing around with the music, having a fun time. Yena and Naeun were finishing up there song.
"Hey, I'm gonna go and pick up water from across the street. Anyone want anything?" Chaeyeon got up. Once everyone gave her a list of what they wanted, Chaeyeon left the room.
"Hey, I'll come if you don't mind." Sunghoon jogged up to her.
"Not at all." She smiled. They made their way out of the place and walked down the road to the store to grab what they needed.
Walking down the street, not noticing they missed the turn to go back into the Main Street where the karaoke place was because they were talking.
"Hey!" Chaeyeon and Sunghoon stopped and turned their heads forward. A group of guys were standing there. Chaeyeon looked around, finally realizing that they weren't where they should've went.
"Sorry, we don't mean to barge in, we'll be going now." Chaeyeon nervously chuckled.
"No no, you don't leave until I say you can." The guy walked up to them, looking them up and down. He reached down and snatched the bag from Chaeyeon's hands. "What does the pretty girl have to offer us, huh?" He smirked.
Sunghoon pushes her so she was behind him. "We don't want any trouble man, you can take the stuff and we'll leave."
"What do you think this is, a drug bust kid. Cause I'll make it one." The guy snarled, shoving Sunghoon's shoulder.
Chaeyeon looked around, hoping to see a way they can run. She noticed a small alley way that leads back to the main road. Taking a look back toward the guys, taking a deep breathe. She snatched Sunghoon's hand, and bolted them both towards the alley.
"Get them!" The guy yelled.
Sunghoon them gripped his hand tighter around her hand and picked up his speed. They noticed the others outside the place, waiting for them to get back.
"Woah, what's going on?" Jake asked.
Sunghoon ran towards them, "stop standing there and run!"
They turned their heads towards the group of guys running towards them and looked back at the two. Sunghoon sighed and pushed them to go, which they did once they noticed them getting closer.
They booked it down the street, trying their best not to slam into the other people occupying the roads.
"Where are we even running towards." Youngmin yelled over.
"Over there." Heeseung pointed, "it goes into a closed warehouse, we'll lose them in there."
Deciding that it's their only choice, they ran towards the building. They quickly hid wherever there was a place to hide, splitting up around the building.
Chaeyeon and Sunghoon both kneeled behind a corner, in the far right. Sunghoon drew her head closer to him, making sure she wasn't exposed.
