Ten's POV
We are in the car on our way towards the dome where MAMA is being held.
The car is filled with excited yet nervous tension.
"Yo this is wild. I feel like we just debuted and we're already performing at MAMA." Xiaojun comments.
"I know. It's really a chance to gain more attention from all over Asia."
I look over at Lia, who I expect to look like a nervous wreck, since I know very well of her intense anxiety, but when I look at her she doesn't seem that nervous at all, but rather happy and excited. I smile, glad she can enjoy herself and this moment without feeling too anxious.
She's looking out the window, so to get her attention I slightly nudge her knee, making her look my way.
"Hey Lia. You're okay right? You definitely seem very calm." I ask.
She smiles at me and nods.
"Yeah. I look forward to it. I'm still a bit nervous, but at least I get to see some of my friends there, so that's pretty exciting."
I furrow my brows slightly. Who are her friends? She hasn't mentioned anything about any friends.
"Who?" I ask curiously.
"Oh Uhm just some friends from when I was a trainee at JYP."
I'm still a bit confused. Lia never liked to talk about her time at JYP. She only once mentioned that some of the other trainees were some annoying bitches.
But I didn't ask her about it anymore, since I'll just have to wait and find out who she's referring to.
A little while later we arrive at the parking lot. When we step in, people immediately wants to take pictures of the new arrived.
It took us a bit by surprise, but we end up having a lot of fun with it, doing a whole lot of silly poses and laughing.
Then a staff member approaches us.
"Okay. You guys are performing in like 2.5 hours so you have a lot of time to get settled and enjoy the show before it's your turn."
She walks down the hallway, expecting us to follow her.
"So this is the toilets for all the performing acts, so that of course means where you should head out to if that becomes necessary."
She continues down the hallway and turns a left.
"Okay so this is your waiting room. Some of your own personal staff members will be here in a couple of minutes to fix your hair and makeup."
I look around in the big room. It's way more luxurious than I expected. There's two big couches and some makeup chairs with big mirrors before them. There's also a table between the couches, where there's placed some snacks and different sodas, which Hendery and Lia immediately throws themselves over.
"If you need anything, just press this button. And as I mentioned your personal staff will be here shortly to fix your hair and makeup before we call you to get to your assigned seats."
We thank her and then settles us self in.
(Ring ring)
Lia answers her phone and I glance curiously over at her to see her reaction.
"Ah really?!" She asks the person in the phone, excitedly.
"Okay, yeah the guys and I have arrived and we're currently in our waiting room. Where are you guys?"
"You're here? What do y-"
But she gets cut off with some yelling noises outside in the hallway.
I look at her puzzled face, which quickly turns into happiness and excitement as she storms out of the room.
I follow her with the rest of the guys. Curious to see who it is.
"Ah there we have her, my princess!" The guy in the front says, as he opens his arms for Lia to run right into.
The sight is surprising me. When Lia talked about some of her friends from JYP would be here, I thought it would be some of her fellow trainees. I wasn't expecting to see the whole of Got7, one of the most successful kpop groups.
I look at the interaction between her and all those guys. Even so she seems very relaxed and happy, I have a rotten feeling in my gut. Especially when the guy in the front, whose name I don't remember, tightly hugs her and holds his arms around her waist.
I just scoff quietly to myself before heading back into our room with the other guys.
Lia's POV
As I see Jackson and the rest of the guys in the hallway, my heart fills with happiness. It's been so long since I've last seen them, but I've missed them so much, especially Jackson, since he really has been the only friend I had in JYP.
When I jump into his arms, his familiar scent fills my nostrils, and I feel as if I'm home for some reason.
I greet the others too with a quick hug.
"Hey you guys should come in here quickly to meet my members?" I suggest excitedly.
"We really want to, but I think the most of us stills needs a few things fixed. But I know Jackson would want to, the whole day he's been talking about meeting all your members, since he's Chinese too and he can finally make some Chinese friends in the kpop industry."
Jinyoung mentions, nudging Jackson's shoulder.
"Yeah no he isn't lying. I would really like to meet your members." Jackson confirms and has quickly switched to mandarin.
"Well okay then, I guess I'll see you others later then." I say, as me and Jackson waves them goodbye.
I open the door to the waiting room, which the guys quickly disappeared into after they saw who I was greeting.
"Okay I'm back guys. I want you to meet my best friend Jackson, if you don't know his name already." I awkwardly mentions at last.
"And I'm also from China, so you don't have to change to Korean or anything." Jackson says, which immediately makes some of my members relax.
"Hmm. I think I know some of you already." Jackson says, as he looks around at the guys.
"Yeah, I've definitely seen you and you." He points at Winwin and Lucas.
"Oh and also you! Your name is Ten right? You're like a crazy good dancer. I think I've also seen you on Hit the stage." Jackson excitedly says, gesturing to Chitta.
Chitta immediately looks embarrassed and a slight pink color can be seen on his cheeks, which makes my heart burst from his cuteness. I know he's never been too good at receiving compliments, especially from professionals.
I can't help myself but to reach out and squeeze his cheeks between my fingers.
This just makes him even more embarrassed, but it definitely makes Yangyang laugh. He's always enjoying when Chitta gets babied in anyway, since Chitta always calls him a baby to annoy him.
We chat a bit for awhile, before some staff comes in to get Jackson, and telling us that there's only a few minutes before we have to get out and find our seats.
7 minutes later
We stand before the entrance, waiting for us to be send into the dome to find our seats.
We can already hear the audience and all the fans, which makes my heart beat faster.
Then the door opens and we walk in.
As we walk in, we immediately see a whole lot of WayV and NCT light sticks being raised into the air. It makes us smile and we wave to our fans.
We find our seats quickly with the help from our stressed out staff.
Then suddenly the lights change and the hosts goes out onto the stage and people cheer for them, before calming down.
1.5 hours later
I look at the time, which have been ticking away like crazy. There's only 20 minutes left before it's our turn to perform.
I can feel my palms getting extremely sweaty and my heart beats faster and faster.
I poke at Kun, who's sitting next to me.
"I just have to go to the bathroom, okay? I'll be right back."
He nods and I walk out into the backstage with the permission from the staff and I quickly find the bathroom, which we were shown when we arrived.
When I see there's nobody else in here, I run towards the mirror above the sink, and I grab the sides of the sink as I take a deep breath, while looking at myself in the eyes.
"Oh well hello Lia... I didn't expect to run into you here." An annoyingly high pitched voice says behind me.
My body stiffens as I slowly turn around to be greeted with a sinister smirk on a face that I didn't hope to ever see again.
