"She's not going to back down" Klaus said thinking of Selena as Katherine rolled her eyes
"Who?" She asked out of boredom "I assume you're not talking about Elena"
"Selena" he said "She's not going to back down without a fight"
"You don't even know her" Katherine stated "You talked to her for like ten seconds"
"I know her enough to know she's loyal to her friends and family" he told her with a smirk "But I told her to stay out of this"
"And you think she's gonna listen to you?" Katherine scoffed in disbelief "That girl is stubborn and strong willed, if she wants something... she get it"
"Oh don't tell me you're jealous of her, Katerina?" He smiled teasingly
"No" she scoffed "I'm just telling you what are you gonna face"
"Well there's certainly a little bit of the devil in her beautiful eyes" he whispered with a small smile
"Piece of advice? Selena is selfish and manipulative, you may want to be careful" Katherine revealed and he frowned "At least she's smart"

Selena, Elijah, Stefan and Elena were all gathered in the living room discussing the ritual
"Tonight is the full moon. We should assume that Klaus is prepared to break the curse" Elijah informed them and Selena shared a look with Stefan
"Elena said that, the sun and the moon curse is fake. That it's actually just a curse placed on Klaus" Stefan told him as Elijah explained to him why Klaus wanted to break the curse so he could trigger the werewolf part in him and be a true hybrid
"Then why are we letting him break the curse? We can kill him today with Bonnie" Damon walked in
"Damon" Stefan warned
"No Bonnie can't use that much of power without dying" Elena denied
"I'll write her a great eulogy" Damon said and Selena placed her hand on her forehead in frustration
"It's not an option Damon" Selena stated firmly
"All right. How do we break this curse?" Stefan asked Elijah
"Well the ritual itself is relatively straightforward, the ingredients, so to speak you already know" Elijah explained to them
"The moonstone" Selena breathed out as she squeezed Elena's hand to comfort her
"A witch will channel the power of the full moon, to release the spell that bound within the stone. After that Klaus being both werewolf and a vampire will sacrifice one of each" Elijah finished
"And where do I fit into it?" Elena asked him fearfully
"The final part of the ritual" he said as he took a wooden box from a shelf "Klaus must drink the blood of the doppelganger ... to the point of your death"
"And that where you come in" Elena sighed heavily
"This is the Elixir I acquired some five hundred years ago for Katerina" Elijah told them as he opened a antique box "It possesses mystical properties of resurrection"
"So I'll be dead"
"And then you won't" Elijah stated and Selena looked at him in disbelief
"That's your plan?" Damon asked in disbelief "A magical witch potion with no expiration date? You wanna come back to life, what about John's ring?"
"Those rings only works on humans" Elijah stated "A doppelganger is a supernatural occurrence, odds are the ring won't work"
"I'd take those odds over your Elixir" Damon retorted and Selena sighed "What if it doesn't work Elena?"
"Actually I'm with Damon on that one" Selena said and Damon grinned proudly looking at Elijah "What if it doesn't work, El?"
"Then I guess I'll just be dead" Elena said and Selena glared at her harshly
"You're not serious?"
"Do we know if Klaus has everything he needs to do this?" Elena asked as she evaded her sister's gazes "Does he have a werewolf?"
"Klaus has been waiting to break this curse for over a thousand years" Elijah said and Selena stood up angrily
"If you excuse me. I need some air" Selena walked away leaving the three of them as she joined Damon outside
"Breakfast of champions huh?" Stefan asked sarcastically as he joined them
"Surrounded by idiots. Need all the help I can get" Damon retorted and Selena snatched the glass from his hand "Well Selena is the only sane person beside me"
"You know you're both not helping" Stefan told them and she scoffed
"Oh I'm sorry how should I help you, when my soulmate wants to sacrifice my sister and she's happily okay with it" she snapped and took a sip from the glass of bourbon
"Elijah is an Original vampire, Stefan! One we tried to kill. You gonna believe this guy?"
"What do you want me to do, Damon, Selena?" Stefan asked them rhetorically "Elena made her decision. She's choosing to trust Elijah... you did too Selena"
"I never said I trust him" Selena stated "I never said that"
"I want to put my faith on her" he told them
"Why she's gonna end up dead" Damon retorted back
"Because she put her faith in me"
"Well this conversation is not going anywhere so I'm just gonna go" Selena said handing Damon the glass back before walking back to the house "Idiots"

Moments later, they all heard screaming coming out from another room "Get out!"
"What's going on?" Selena and the others rushed to Jenna who had a crossbow in her hands
"It's me Elena, Selena I swear okay" Alaric told the doppelganger "He let me go. Klaus let me go"
"It's him" Selena told them and they looked at him in confusion
"Prove it" Damon eyed him carefully
"Okay uh... first night you and I spent. Jeremy walked in right when I was about..."
"It's him" Jenna lowered the crossbow and Selena smiled at her aunt teasingly
"Why did he let you go?" Selena asked him
"He wanted me to deliver a message... The sacrifice happen tonight" Alaric sighed "He told me to tell you Selena to think about what he said"
"What?" Damon exclaimed and she flinched "You saw him"
"He came to talk to me yesterday... he said and I quote 'I want you to stay out of trouble and you don't want to know what I'm capable of'" she revealed and Damon rolled his eyes
When they all entered the living room once again Stefan spoke up "So you don't remember anything that happened?"
"No it's like I blacked out and woke up three days later. Katherine was there and he was going to take Leenie as a leverage" Alaric explained
"I need to get some air. Elena already made her decision, it's not like I can change her mind or anything" she coldly said and took off as Elena winced at her words

She was at the grill drinking her glass of bourbon until someone sat down beside her causing her to look up
"I know that look" she told him "What did you do?"
"I screwed up, I fed Elena my blood" he blurted out and snatched the glass from her hand
"You did what?" She whispered yelled at him
"I was so upset and you know me when I'm upset"
"Yes you tend to do stupid things" Selena stated as he gave her back the glass "Honestly Damon"
"Why are you drinking?" He asked her and she just took a sip of her drink
"My sister is sacrificing herself to Klausimort today. I mean why not celebrate!" She sarcastically said and he snorted and Alaric joined them
"Klausimort?"
"Yeah he's the hottest version of Voldemort" Selena stated and Alaric chuckled despite their current situation
"I screwed up" He said once again to the history teacher
"Yeah, yeah you did" Alaric agreed and Damon groaned a put his head on Selena's shoulder
"Gentlman, little wolf why so glum?" Klaus appeared with clenched jaw and she choked on her drink
"Agh" Damon groand in annoyance before lifting his head up to look at the Original "Klaus I presume"
"In the flesh" he smiled proudly and his eyes flickered toward Alaric "Thanks for the loaner mate"
Alaric gave him a blank look and Selena hadn't yet turn to face him. She put down the glass shakily as her heartbeat accelerated causing him to chuckle. She could feel his stares burning on her back as her breath hitched causing her to breath heavily. She was scared and terrified of the fact that her soulmate was standing beside her. Damon noticed how nervous and scared causing him to stood up as he blocked her from Klaus' eyeline
"Any reason you stopped by to say Hi?" Damon asked angrily
Klaus smiled at him "I'm told you and your brother fancy my doppelganger. Just thought I'd remind you not to do anything you'll regret"
"Too late" Selena snorted in amusement as she stood up beside Damon as he wrapped his arm around her shoulder causing Klaus to glare at them
"Ha! Thanks for the advice. I don't suppose I could talk you into postponement by any chance?" The raven haired vampire joked but he was 100% serious as he moved Selena more closer to him
"You're kidding" Klaus asked him as Damon grinned in amusement
"He's kidding right?" The Original asked Alaric and Selena when he received no answer from the vampire
"No he's not" Selena faked a smile
"I mean come on. What's one month in the whole grand scheme of things?" Damon argued and Klaus scoweled
"Let me be clear... I have my vampire, I have my Werewolf. I have everything I need" Klaus smiled looking between the trio
"The ritual will happen tonight. So if you want to live to see tomorrow... Don't screw it up" he told them menacingly and then his gaze traveled to Selena
"Soulmate or not... I will kill you" he threatened and she faked a smile causing Damon to pull her more closer protectively as Klaus rolled his eyes in annoyance
"Fancy seeing you again, love" Klaus smiled and winked to her before he exited the Grill
"Well that was fun" Damon commented wistfully
"For you maybe" Selena retorted back
"I could hear your heartbeat from mile away" he teased and she glared at him
"Yeah when you have a hot and handsome thousands years old psychotic soulmate" she sarcastically said "Who's willing to sacrifice your sister for some bloody ritual. I mean yeah I feel great"
"Ouch... Do you think if I took his werewolf out of the equation, she might get over the fact that I tried to turn her into a vampire?" Damon asked them and smiled smiled at him
"I think it won't matter because you will be dead" Alaric told him and Damon smirked
"Yeah... we're well aware of that. Thank you" Selena stated and Damon nodded
"But without the werewolf he can't perform the ritual tonight" Damon argued
"But you'll still be dead... I don't know about Selena but you'll be dead... I mean he did say he'll kill you" Alaric said once again and Damon rolled his eyes
"Are you gonna help me or not?" Damon asked Alaric irritably and then turned to Selena "Do you feel like helping me killing his werewolf?"
"Hell yeah" she said excitedly
"What do you want me to do?" Alaric sighed in defeat

They arrived to Alaric's apartment he opened the door "Look who's dumb enough to come back" Katherine remarked
"Well somebody had to invite him in" Alaric retorted and Katherine eyed them warily "Damon would you like to uh come in?" Alaric said as he and Selena entered
"Fancy seeing you again, Kitty kat" Selena smiled sarcastically at her
"What are you doing here, princess?" Katherine bitterly asked her "Didn't Klaus made it very clear to stay out of trouble?
"And you. Are you trying to get me killed" She asked the male vampire as he sped over to her and shoved her against the wall
"I gave you vervain now I'm here to collect" he said and gave Alaric one sided look "I got it from here Ric"
"You sure?"
"Yeah only one of us needs to get blamed for this. Get back in the house and keep Elena from handing herself over" Damon demanded
"Yes please. We only need a little bit of time to save her life" Selena stated looking between Damon and Katherine
"Get blamed for what?" Katherine got back to the topic
"We need to know where Klaus is keeping his werewolf" Selena innocently said
"Why? What are you going to do"
"Kill him or her" she stated with a 'Duh' tone
"Dead werewolf equal no ritual" Damon said
"No you can't interfere Damon" She told him "Klaus will kill you and everyone you've ever met" and then she turned to Selena
"He seems to fancy you" Katherine said with a British accent causing Selena to roll her eyes
"We just need to delay this stupid ritual" Selena said
"No. No way" she said as she walked past them
"You should like this is. It's going to buy you another month of your pathetic life" Damon told her
"I mean I wouldn't mind if I were you" Selena agreed "I'll even help you escape the soon you tell us where Klaus is keeping his werewolf"
"Right... except I'm not the vampire he's planning on sacrificing. He's got Caroline Forbes and Tyler Lockwood" she smiled widely "Therefore I'm in the clear"
"Please let me kill her" Selena pleaded looking at the doppelganger with a harsh glare "Tonight is a full moon, Katherine"
"And where'd get the idea from?" Damon growled angrily
"Hey, hey hey!" Katherine raised her arms in surrender "I'm just trying to live long enough to get myself out of here"
"What if I told you Elena has vampire blood in her system" Damon said and Selena smirked at the doppelganger
"Imagine how fun that will be, competing with Elena for Stefan's love for" Damon smiled tauntingly
"I don't know? Forever" Selena asked rhetorically
"The tomb. He got them in the tomb" She finally admitted through gritted teeth
"Thank you" Damon faked a smile

Damon walked around the ruins by the tomb and Klaus's witch Maddox appeared behind him
"Which one are you trying to save? The blond or the wolf?" He asked with a teasing smile "Did you really think Klaus would leave them unprotected?"
"Wishful thinking" Damon muttered and he rushed towards him pinning him to the ground as he strangled him
The witch used his magic, overpowering the vampire as Damon crumbled to the floor
Selena grabbed a small knife from her boots and stabbed him in his back causing him to groan in pain "I hate to break it to you but he didn't come alone"
However before she could kill him the witch was shot into his chest with wooden bullet
When Damon and Selena looked up to see who shot him they found out it was Matt
"Matt? What are you doing here?" She asked him and Damon sped over to the witch snapped his neck to ensure he was dead
"Where's Caroline?" Matt asked them as he raised the gun at them
"Listen Man not the time to play the hero" Damon told him and Selena held her hands up in surrender
"Where is she?" He scoweled at them "What did you do to her"
She kept her hands up in defence "Matt she's my bestfriend"
When she saw his eyes softe she grabbed the shotgun out of his hand and hit him in the head with it
"Oh my god?" She gasped in shock "I didn't kill him did I?"
"No" Damon told her "Come on"
When they made their way to the tomb, Damon rushed and used his strength to pull the gate off
"Care Oh my god!"
"Selena help us" Caroline pleaded and Selena nodded making her way towards her bestfriend
"Why do you think we're here?"
"Your boyfriend is outside with a rifle loaded with wooden bullets" Damon informed Caroline as he tried the broke the chains around her wrists "You have some explaining to do"
Caroline frowned as he broke the chains "Matt?"
"Matt knows about you?" Tyler asked her
"No-I" Caroline began
"Shh" Damon hushed her "Tomorrow's problem"
"No we're not leaving without him Damon" Selena told Damon causing him to sigh
"Do I have to?"
"Yes Damon" she firmly spoke and he sighed in defeat
"Don't make me regret this" he said sternly a d the wolf nodded "How fast can you get the hell away from here?"
"I need to get to my family cellar" Tyler scoweled "I can lock myself up"
"I'll help" Caroline smiled at him and Selena facepalmed herself forgetting about the full moon
"I forgot about me wolfing out"
When they made it all out, Caroline gasped in shock when she saw Matt began to gain consciousness "Matt!"
"Hey" She turned to Damon and accused "You hit him"
"She did" He pointed at the young wolf
"He had a shotgun" She admitted "He was going to kill us!"
They all turned when Tyler growled holding his chest in pain "It's starting"
"Grab boy wonder and let's go" He ordered Caroline and she nodded
"Why am I not feeling anything?" Selena asked them and Damon shrugged "Let's just go"

"I wasn't aware you'd be invited in" Klaus muttered in annoyance when Damon entered the apartment with Selena
"We've come to tell you that you have to postpone the ritual" Damon smirked at the Original as Selena smiled amusement
"Didn't we already have this conversation" Klaus rolled his eyes causing his soulmate to smirk widely
"Yeah but..." Selena trailed off
"That was before we rescued your werewolf and vampire" Damon replied arrogantly
Klaus scoweled angrily as he stood up from his chair facing the two "Excuse me?"
"Your witch is dead too so..." Selena teased as he looked at her emotionless "My condolence by the way"
"And you can kill me for it. It was all me. Just let Selena go" Damon told him fearlessly
Selena put a strong smile even though deep down she was terrified, she was reckless when she defied him but it was worth it
She raised her eyebrow challenging him to do something but he just smirked at her. He was amazed by her confidence and bravery. He enjoyed how ahe stood up for herself, he enjoyed her
"Katerina" he called the doppelganger but his eyes never left his soulmate "Give us a moment"
Katherine eyed them warily, before leaving them
"I heard about you two" Klaus began as his eyes shifted to Damon "The crazy impulsive vampire in love with his brother's girl"
And then he looked at Selena again straight in the eyes. She was smiling arrogantly showing her dimple
"And you the reckless temperamental young wolf" he moved away from them and Selena let out a shaky breath before sharing a look with Damon
"I knew one of you would try and stop me it was just a 50/50 guess on who" He pressed a button on his laptop and a sound of someone screaming came out
"The nice thing about werewolves is they travel in packs. Need a closer look?" He then tossed his phone to Damon who looked down to see who
"Jules" he muttered quietly
"Can't say she didn't deserve it" Selena said and Damon glared at her in disbelief "What?"
Klaus looked at her in amusement as he began to walk closer to them merely Selena "When you spend a thousand years trying to break a curse you learn a thing or two" he said as he stopped in front of Damon "Always have a back up, Back up werewolf, back up witch"
"Back up vampire" Damon muttered and swallowed thickly
"I've got that covered too" Klaus smirked at them and snapped Damon's neck
"Oh my God!" She breathed out and he looked at her with a devilish smirk
"He's good as dead anyways..." he remarked and she looked towards the door and run as fast as she could causing him to vamp-speed in front of her stopping her as she stepped back fearfully
"Nice try, love... Now what should I do with you?" He asked and she scoffed bitterly
"Do I look like a doll?" She asked sarcastically "Don't you have a ritual to attend?"
"You truly are one of a kind" Klaus muttered in both surprise and adoration
"Thank you" she said with a fake smile
"What part of stay out of trouble you don't understand?" He asked her and she remained silent
"Katerina call Jenna" Klaus called causing her eyes to widen
