i woke up to the sound of arguing and someone shaking me violently.
"you asshole cant you see I'm sleeping?!" i rubbed my eyes while complaining
"Rory, I'm serious " i heard Ayla's voice. all of last nights events came rushing through my memory.
at that moment, 2 guys came in the room and stood close to us while we were huddled in the corner. one of them had a hood covering his head.
"we found out some very interesting things..." the 'disgusted' dude with the deep tone said while the other one paced around
"which is..?" Jaxon asked
" background information about the Principessa" he said pointing at me
(Translation: princess)
the other dude cleared his throat and came closer to us " what's your name?"
"i told you before, its Aurora ace amherst"
"your lying" he said shaking his head
"why on earth would i lie about my name?"
"you dont want to test me right now" the 'disappointed' guy glared at me
"you can check all my documents, its my real name."
he shook his head " I'm going to ask you questions and you will answer truthfully." i nodded
"what's are your parents names, are they alive or not and how many siblings do you have" he asked
"Elena and Andrew Amherst. they were murdered by a mafia. i have 1 brother named chase, or i had.."
"tell me what happened to him."
"he disappeared when i was 19, he was 21 at the time. 2 years ago. i tried finding him but it was useless. he just disappeared. so i moved back to NY and stayed at our old parents house. "
"look up at me" he ordered and i looked up at him, i had my jackets hood over my head so my face wasn't showing until i looked up.
"muffin. its you."
"how do you know that name..?"
he stepped into the light and removed his hood
"you have the same hair and eyes,"
" you look alike" Ayla said shocked
" maybe mom made some brownies..?" he said smiling sadly

"COME ON! mom said lunch is ready!"
"OK IM COMING!" i said jumping off the swing in our garden
"do you know what she made?" i asked him while walking back home
"no.." he shook his head " maybe mom made brownies..?"
i shook my head " she made muffins i can feel it." i said and he laughed
"muffins? when did u like them..?"
" i only like chocolate and red velvet muffins!"
"ok then, thats your new nickname! Muffin" he laughed when i playfully punched his arm

"rory.." Ayla put her hand on my shoulder and i got out of my trance
"is it actually you?" i asked hopefully
he removed his hood and i couldn't help but notice. he looked like an exact copy of my missing brother. my supposedly dead missing brother.
"are you chase..? my brother chase?" he nodded
"if our actually him, show me the scar he got when i pushed him off of the swing when we were 6"
he rolled up his sleeve and showed me his wrist. and there it was, the scar. the same one chase had.
"its you" i ran up to him crying, he pulled me close and embraced me.
"its really you. your not dead. your alive" i cried on his shoulder as he wiped his tears away
"why did you leave me?"
"its a long story that was only completed now"
" i have time" i smiled softly
"2 years ago, the ultores reached out to recruit me since they heard about my skills, like mom and dad. i refused, but they threatened to kill you if i didn't leave and cut off all contact with you. i left you alone, but i had to, they were gonna kill you if i didn't"
"3 months after working with them, i wanted to leave but i wasn't allowed to, so i planned to hide all the tracks that may lead to you or me so we can run away somewhere else. they found out before i could finish everything. they showed me a video of them killing you and burning your corpse. turns out now that wasn't you, but i only just found out"
"i left them. i escaped. i had nothing to lose anymore. Leo here," he said pointing at the 'disgusted' dude with the deep voice "asked me to join them since i have all the information they want about the ultores and he said that they were our common enemy. so i joined his Mafia. The Imperium Empire"
" what going to happen to us now..? " i asked scared
"that up to Leo, muffin.." he said turning to Leo
"she cant leave. she knows too much. she's talented like you are. so she can work for us" he said smirking darkly
"No, im never going to join your mafia. your murderers"
"well, you can die. kill her" he said turning around
"No leo! you cant!" chase screamed
"calm down Caleb" he said. so they called chase 'caleb' ?
i thought about it for a second "hold on."
he turned around with a raised eyebrow " you don't want to die i see?"
"i can work for you, but i wont join your mafia, i will only do minor things since you have chase to do the rest"
he thought about it for sometime "deal. i will send you your contract in the morning. now go change out of this mess" he said pointing at my clothes. i was still wearing my work uniform from this morning
"wait what about Jaxon and ayla?" i asked him
"jaxon is off the hook. Ayla knows too much so she has to join us too." he said pointing at Ayla
"what do you say?" he asked her smirking at the fear on her face
"i agree, but i have to stay with jaxon." she demanded and Leonidas nodded
he left the room and another person entered the room. it was a woman my age.
"hey I'm Alexandra" she greeted us
"when did you start acting nice Alex?" chase asked mockingly
"this aurora, Ayla, and Jaxon" chase said pointing at my friends and i
" i have a question, why do you guys call him caleb? his name is chase" i asked confused
"when i came here i didn't want the ultores to find me so i changed my name to Caleb smith. that's why you couldn't find me when you searched"
"and since then we have been calling him Caleb, i guess the name stuck around" she said and i hummed an 'okay'
"well then, lets get you cleaned up " Alexandra said while holding the door out for us
Ayla and Jaxon left while i stayed behind with chase
"promise me you wont leave me again" chase looked at me confused
"promise me." i repeated
he smiled softly and hugged me " i promise."
