maggie takes you to the car. you are kind of put back together but you're in pain. you get in the car and rest your head against the steering wheel. a tear falls down your cheek. maggie puts her hand on your back.

you sniffle.
A | can we- can we go get breakfast.

M | do you want me to drive?

you move to the passenger seat. you drive to a diner and get a table. you pulled yourself together.
M | how are you holding up?
A | i'll be fine. i just need to focus on school. it's just like before anyways.
M | but it's not.

M | i saw how in love you two were.
A | in love? give me a break.
M | i saw you guys. it was like the world was stopped. it was just you two. no school. no problems just the two of you.
you bury your face in your hands.

you look at your phone. you have a notification you were tagged in a post 10 minutes ago. you open this.
your heart fills. you smile.
M | what it's it.
you give her your phone.
M | awe. and he tagged you.
A | yeah.
M | i'm so happy for you!
A | i have to post for him right.
M | yeah. use the one from when we hung out with amber. where he was holding you

you are shocked on how many likes and comments you were getting. you mute your notifications. you go out surfing with maggie. while carrying your boards over there you realize bryce and amber are out on your favorite place to board.
M | yo, amber's getting pretty damn good.
A | she is.
you both run out there.
A | hey!
Am | omg! hey guys! you see this!
M | we do. nice job.
B | it took her quite a bit of time.
M | i didn't think she could be taught.
Am | where are the boys?
A | they had to go home.

having payton out here was great but you missed amber and all the time you spent on the water. your life is still piecing itself together. you just need a little bit of time.
