Soil under my soles
giving way under my weight,
shifting. My path to you.
I am distracted by my hands, my feet, disconnected from the swirling thoughts within my mind. Divorced from my own manifestation, I have been away too long.
The deeper into life,
into the darkened woods,
I sink
the more spirit
and flesh
move as one.
Leaves whisper, brushing past. In the glade mead drips, an offering of sweetness for sweetness, poured upon the thirsty earth. Voice calling into the hidden spaces, longing.
Home, I warm my sheets,
skin on soft cotton
weighed down.
Fingers sliding through honey
intoxicating
myself
My body is strange to me, and oh so familiar. We are inextricable and still opaque to one another. It truly takes that moment of surrender to pleasure for us to become the one we are.
I am spirit, walking,
ever seeking
to be the lover
that this luscious flesh deserves.
