"guys can you please tell
me what were doing, or at least
where were going" Amanda
whined from the backseat.
Mille was driving the car
and Mia was in the passenger
seat passing through the city
to get to a small cafe where
they would meet up with Louis.
"Sorry no can do" mille
responded to Amanda
keeping her eyes on the road.
"well at least give me some
knowledge on what we're doing"
Amanda huffed. "all you told me was
hey Amanda get ready well be there
in 20, and I had to race as if I was
in the Olympics to get ready. What if
were going to some fancy place and I'm
underdressed"
Amanda straightened up a bit
leaning to the front side of the car
and pointed out her index finger at mia
"you know how much I hate being
under or overdressed" she said with a
glare a mia.
"don't worry, you're dressed perfectly
fine for this situation" mia said
letting out a chuckle at
her friend's dramatic persona.
She did very much hate
not being dressed properly.
One time in the fifth
grade when one of
their classmates
had thrown a birthday
party Amanda had not gotten
the memo to wear
something casual
so she hid from everyone.
Mia and Mille ended up
spending the whole party looking
for her eventually having
to call her mom. Amanda ended up
hiding with the birthday girl's mom,
classic Amanda.
"alrighty, here we are" mille
spoke up, putting the car in park
in front of a small cafe.
"oooh, it's so pretty" Amanda spoke
unbuckling her seatbelt and getting
out of the car.
"Right, now go in" mia spoke moving
her hands in a back and forth
motion to signal Amanda into going
in the coffee shop.
"what do you mean
go in, dint you have to
go in as well" Amanda said
moving her head to the side
to face her friends.
"we'll go in after you" mille said
"Why don't you just
go in with me" Amanda said
a look of confusion on her face.
"um, because me and
mille have to put quarters
in the parking meter"
mia said panic in her
voice, she and mille definitely
had not thought of how
they would get Amanda
into the coffee shop thourely
and it was showing heavily at
the moment.
"um ok" amanda said making
her way into the store.
Amanda went to sit at a table
not being able to order as one,
her friends didn't say what they
wanted to order and two, they
weren't even here.
They stayed behind putting quarters
in the parking meter, why did you
need two people to put quarters into
a machine.
Now that she thought of it, there
wasn't even a parking meter.
What were her friends up to?
She turned herself to the door
going to get her friends when a voice
stopped her.
"Um, amanda"
She turned her head and saw "louis"
Amanda spoke with great shock in her voice.
"surprise" he said putting both his hands
up in the air slightly shaking them.
"oh so this was the surprise they were
talking about" she said with a
chuckle to relieve some tension that
had built up within her.
"yeah I hope it's a good surprise"
louis spoke shaking his head slightly
"It is, it really is" amanda said as the
two of them began to get lost in
their conversation.
In the back of the coffee shop sat mille
and mia drinking their tea, and eating
their muffins watching their
friend be on a date.
Every now and then amanda
would look over Louis shoulder
at her friends for some encouragement
and every time mille and mia
would look hp at her and gave her a
big smile and a thumbs up.
"They grow up so fast" mia facked sob
as she watched Amanda and
Louis finishing up their coffee, along
with their date.
"yup they really do" mille said
pulling in mia into a hug watching
their friend meet someone happy
to see her happy.
