  Harley's Pov

"No, come back here you little rat!"  I follow behind Ham through the hallway to our room.

"Leave me alone, Harley." He whines exhausted.

"Not until you give me an explanation as to why you didn't tell me about it," I advise him to tell me.

"I already told you. Phillips isn't good for you!" He gives me an invalid justification.

"What is that supposed to mean?"

"I don't want you to date him!" He turned around and yelled.

"I'm not going to date him, Ham. Don't be ridiculous." I shake my head cackling. He rolls his eyes going towards the main door.

"Can you let me go now?" He asks holding onto the doorknob.

"I'm leaving too" I announced pushing him out. We shove each other outside almost tripping on the concrete. I pulled my skateboard down and put my foot on it slid off our sidewalk. I look back in Hams's direction.

"Later ugly!" He waves.

"Later idiot!" I wave back.

A few minutes later I pulled up in front of the Phillips residence. I couldn't help but turn around to see Dayanna's house across. Guiltiness washes over me once again.

I was thinking of talking to her today but her car wasn't parked where it usually is so I assume she isn't home. But I will speak to her as soon as I can.

Yesterday, was a bizarre night, to say the least. I mean, I had a genuine heart-to-heart conversation with The Jordan Phillips. He opened up to me about his personal life and so did I. We shared similar experiences. And he even told me he had a crush on me.

What?! That's insane. If I had heard it from someone else I'd probably punch them in the face and tell them to go get checked in the head. But he told me so. Is life even real anymore?

"Morning Harley" Karen's familiar voice pulls me out of my thoughts. I turn around from Dayanna's house giving her my full attention.

"Good morning Karen" I greet her walking up to her as she approaches her car.

"How are you doing this fine day today?" She asks as I politely shake her hand.

"Good, I can already tell it's going to be a very hot day," I said eyeing the sky above us. Ever since I raced here I began to feel hot and the sun was burning through me the whole time.

"Me as well, kiddo." She chuckles.

"Is your mother getting any better?" I ask her moving my hands in my pockets as we spoke.

"Yes, actually she is. Yesterday, she started eating and she even conversed with me." She informs happily.

"That's good news isn't it?"

"Yes, it's wonderful news. She'll be out in no time, I know it." I smile acknowledging the fact that she'd be better soon.

"I'm glad, Mrs.Philips." I congratulate her.

"Me too. Anyway, I should get going. I'll be back earlier than yesterday so don't worry about curfew." She tells me to open her car door.

"Keys are in the Petunia pot as usual." She instructs clicking her tongue and pointing gun fingers at me.

"Alright, later Mrs." I do the gun fingers instead of waving.

I walk up the porch keeping in mind what she said and getting the key. I unlock the entrance and go in. I make sure not to make too much noise and wake them up. I'm thinking of surprising them today with a special breakfast.

But first I need some jams to play meanwhile I cook. In the corner of the living room was a record player on top of a drawer. I got a random disc and place it in. Soon it slid around and sound started playing.

"(Bo-bo) (doo-doot-doo-doo-doo-doo)
(There she goes) (doo-doot-doo-doo-doo-doo)"
The intro started. I swayed my hips dancing along with the music.

I stroll to the kitchen and quickly get to work. Opening the coldness of the fridge I get eggs and crack two of them into a big clear bowl. I mixed them up and poured flour onto a measuring cup.

"There goes my baby, moving on down the line." I sang along with the music as I flipped the circular flour on the stove.

I knew the sound of singing would wake them up. That way I didn't have to go all the way upstairs just to yell at them.

"Wonder where wonder where wonder where she is bound?" I chant.
Soon the noisy footsteps of both siblings were heard above the music playing.

I distributed all six pancakes on plates and put them on the table covered with a picnic table cloth. There was a clear sunflower-filled vase in the middle adding the finishing touch.

I organized all the syrups, flavors from blueberry and strawberry so they can serve themselves.

In a matter of seconds, Georgina and Jordan came in sprinting to the dining room where I stood holding two glasses of orange juice.

"What's this?" Jordan asks as he and Georgina rub their eyes just woken up.

"Wakey Wakey munchkins. Breakfast is ready!" I greet them directing them to the table full of delicious food.

"I made y'all pancakes!" I place the juice next to the plates.

"Mmm, these look good. Thank you" He says taking his seat. I smile feeling accomplished. Georgina, still standing confused, looked at the food with a weird look. Jordan soon realized her uneasiness.

"Georgina," He asked in an older brother's authority manner.

"Uh thanks" She replies hesitantly to me. She soon sits herself down and he begins to cut up his fluffy pancakes.

"Want some?" I ask holding a syrup container.

"Yes please." He nods. I go over to his side and serve him. As I reach for his plate my hair accidentally hovers over his face, tickling him. He giggles pushing it away.

"Sorry" I laugh. I move away after helping him out and scoot myself to a seat next to him. I beam watching him enjoy the first bite. He looks at me and gives me a thumbs up.

"Did I miss something?" She asks us pulling our attention away from each other.

"No, why do you ask?" We both reply too soon.

"Since when are you two so...civil with each other?" She asks acting as if it is so out of the ordinary. Which it would be.

"Since I realized it's just better to get along with you two if I'm going to have to babysit you for a whole week," I answer. Georgina's eyes widen.

"And you're okay with that?" She nudges Jordan. He eats unbothered nodding.

"Mhm," He hums.

She furrows her eyebrows observing us with suspicion. I innocently smile and she twists her mouth.

If I were her, honestly I would have the same reaction. Jordan and I have shown no interest in wanting to create alliances. And all of a sudden we're friendly.

I'm shocked as well. In a good way, of course. This is great. For the first time in a while, I have someone to rely on.

"Did you two kiss?" She asks making him spit out the orange juice back into the glass. My head pushes back completely taken back by the question. Why is she not the first to ask that?

"Pardon?" He turns to her.

"I said have you two kissed?" She repeats confidently. We eye each other unsure of what to tell her. Our reaction might seem odd but it's just crazy for someone to assume as said.

"No course not!" Jordan shakes his head obsessively.

"What makes you think I would ever do such a thing?"

"I don't know, you guys are acting suspiciously nice with each other." She shrugs poking her fruit.

"We just agreed to put our differences aside and ally for the better." He spoke up assuring her we're on the same side.

"But what happened to our original plan? What happened to try to get rid of her?" She starts to question him. Wow, I wasn't aware they had a whole plan to get me to leave. I must be that important.

"Yeah, I don't know if you've noticed but there's no way you two are getting rid of me that easily. " I laugh pulling her cheeks jokingly. She angrily scoots away.

"Are you not going to eat?" Jordan asks abruptly curious.

"Oh yeah, I made a pancake for myself. " I nod bringing my plate in front of me.

"So what's the plan for today boss?" He asks with a sigh after finishing his now empty plate. I stop for a second and think.

"Hmm, I'm not sure. I'll just go along with whatever you two want to do. " I respond.

"I want to play outside," George says right after swallowing her food up. I nod relaxing my face in agreement.

Not even 5 minutes After:

We went back inside.

It was just way too hot for us to handle the heat. My skin was going to burn off. I don't know how Ham and his crew can play in these conditions.

"Is this AC even on?" I ask him laying on the couch as he installed one of the multiple fans around the room.

"I don't know, I'll check" He obediently ran to the corner where they inspect. Drinking the last drop of my Coca-Cola, I so desperately wished it was winter.

"Ugh, this pop isn't working Jordan. I'm baking like a toasted cheeser in here!" I complained sinking myself into the soft furniture.

"You're not the only one." He murmured slapping the small air conditioner.

"I'm sweating in places I didn't even know I could!" I whined.

"And what do you want me to do about that?" Jordan asked standing in front of me.

"Help it stop!" I demand stomping my feet on the ground. He rolls his head back to look at me.

"How?" He asks with an exhausted look on his face. This is understandable, this climate makes any simple task seem like a hardcore sport.

I push myself off my seat easily and walking over to him. His back was to me as he kicked and assaulted the air conditioner.

"I dunno you're the big brain, come up with something nerd." I slap the back of his head as I walk past him. Skipping my way to the exit leading to their backyard.

"Seriously? And I'm not a nerd!" He defends from inside the house. I shake my head chuckling, already letting the heat hit my body. Georgina sat on the small bench at the outdoor table. There was a pool in the middle of the outer court.

"Whatever you say, nerd" I laugh sitting on the bench near hers.

Third Person Pov:

"150 degrees," Georgina informs her while taking a look at the thermometer.

"150- ugh!" Harley groans not being able to comprehend it. Georgina nods sadly patting her back. She let her arm hold her head as she feels a headache.

"Welcome to California," Georgina says stretching her arms out in a welcoming manner.

She shook her head irritated, frustratedly standing up. She inspected the yard for a while. She seemed to be intrigued by the blue blanket-like cover in front of her.

She begins to randomly remove the solar cover off, exposing the transparent blue water.

"What are you doing?" Confused Georgina asks. Harley ignores her and continues to pull it completely off. "Hello?"

"Hello?" She repeats.

"I just want to see if the water is cool enough to swim in." She walks around the perimeter of the pool.

"It's dirty." Georgina points out.

"Your point is?"

"You're disgusting!" She fake puked.

Harley shrugs kneeling to touch the water. With her knees bent under her and her foot halfway stepping in the concrete and the other in the air. If she took one more step forward she would be able to trip into the water.

Her fingers reached the clear-blue reflected liquid. As soon as she was able to speak her body pushed down on the water.

"See it's co-" She didn't get to finish when she fell into the small rectangular body of water.

"Harley!" Georgina exclaimed as she watched her babysitter collapse into the pool. Harley held in her breath as her face met the water and began to sink.

The short girl turned away annoyed with her sudden act. Harley could've easily warned her she was going for a dive but instead freaked her out.

Georgina went back to the bench to carry on with sitting in front of her fan. She sat down and expected to look at the pool and see Harley swimming.

But once she had turned to see where she was. She walked up closer to the pool to see if Harley was visible. She was nowhere to be seen. There were bubbles in a specific area of the water which Georgina noticed. Normally, it is never good news.

"Jordan!" She screamed.

Not even a second later, Jordan came out the exit door once he heard his sister's shout. Alarmed, he went to see what happened.

"What?" He asked his sister jumping up anxiously.

"Harley- she fell in the pool!" She pointed to it.

His eyes widened startling him to act. Reacting fast, he began taking off his shirt. He pulled the fabric above his head and aggressively threw it on the ground. He didn't even bother changing out of his jeans when he quickly ran to rescue her.

His feet were at the edge of the perimeter ready to dive in. Georgina came up behind him.

"What are you doing?" She asked worriedly.

"She doesn't know how to swim." He replies before immersing into the coolness. Internally, his heart was beating at a very speedy rate.

Both of them were concerned for Harley. Although they would never admit it, they cared deeply for her.

Water splashing all over the pool. His body was lost inside the liquid interior. Georgina picked herself up to see if he was okay. You know, just in case the fall was too intense.

Shortly, his head resurfaces upbringing him forward about the water. Relieved Georgina approached near the edge of the concrete where ground dug downward.

He held Harley in his arms pulling her up on the water. His breath and movement were shaky. She was in the water floating with her eyes closed. This was a very scary sight for him. What if it was too late?

They brought her body back to the ground up. Placing her head down and back to the ground so she was able to breathe.

"Is she okay?" She asks following him.

"Let me see." He began to practice CPR on her. Positioning himself, he kneeled beside her. He made sure to interlock his hands, stretched straight on her.

Leaning forward so his shoulders are directly over her chest and press down on the chest. He helped release the pressure in her lungs. He repeated this five more times.

But she remained breathless.

"I'm going to call an ambulance!" Georgina said before disappearing inside.

Although on the outside he seemed calmer than his sister, Jordan was scared to death. He so desperately hoped she survived.

She came back with a telephone. She placed it on the table and spoke into her ear giving the paramedics information.

"Please Harley" He begged her quietly.

"She's dead!" Georgina cried into the telephone. He shook his head frustratedly and moved up to her face.

Even though he didn't want to, this was his last resort. He was going to give her mouth-to-mouth resuscitation.

Hesitantly, he pressed on her nose, pinching her nostrils. He tilted her head and lift her chin to open the airway again. Letting her mouth fall open slightly.

Taking a deep breath in, he prepared himself to connect lips with her.

"Jordan?" His sister asked.

"Here I go" He leaned into her mouth. With both of their mouths opened and ready to touch, it seemed as if they were about to kiss. Which would be nice, under other circumstances.

As he was going to blow air into her. Harley spit out water on his face. Quickly, he removed his head away. He wiped the water off his cheek and mouth region.

Harley's loud giggles made them realize she was alive.

"Harley?" He asked confused.

"I can't believe you were about to do that!" She snickered shoving him back as she stood up straight.

Georgina rolled her eyes. "Never mind, she's fine, unfortunately." She put the telephone down. Jordan kept his mouth open in shock. Harley stood at her feet acting as if nothing happened.

"Uh, why are you shirtless?" She asks staring down at him. It's not like it's the first time she's seen a boy shirtless, she has a brother. But it was still odd and uncomfortable.

"You almost drowned and that's the first thing you ask?" He asked offended standing up.

"I didn't almost drown, I know exactly how to swim." Harley shrugged nonchalantly. He shook his head as she realized her clothes were wet.

"But you said you didn't know-how. Show and tell day remember." He explained vaguely. Harley and Georgina squinted their eyes at him.

"You brought floaties and did a whole emotional speech about how you never learned how to swim." He clarified with his hands directed at her. She shook her head and cackled.

"Show and tell? That was in first grade, genius!" She laughs making him raise his eyebrow muddled.

"Things are different from how they used to be in kindergarten, Jordan." She quotes his words from the previous night. He slightly pouts as she slowly walks to the table.

"I did all that for nothing." He murmurs utterly discomposed. Sighing in exhaustion from both heat and overwhelming strength use, he dropped down on the bench.

"No, I think it's a pretty heroic act of you." Harley admired. "Y'know, trying to save me from drowning, although I didn't need saving."

"Yeah? Well, I'm glad you enjoyed scaring the living crap out of me." Jordan responded sarcastically.

"Aww look at you getting all worked up about me." She pulled his cheeks teasingly. He smacked her hand away making her giggle it off.

She was right though, he was very worried for her wellbeing.

"So now that happened. What are we going to do?"

"Pool party!" Georgina jumps up excitedly. "I call dibs on the jacuzzi!" She announces raising her hand. The two teenagers shook their heads in disapproval as the child speeded off her seat.

"You gonna get in?" He asks.

"I would if I had a bathing suit."

"Ever heard of skinny dipping?" He smirks. I roll my eyes facing away.

"I'm sure you would like that" Harley mumble as she removed her sweater. She could hear him snickering behind her.

"I would" He mumbles. She quickly turns to look at him, quite impressed by his boldness.

"What was that?" Harley asked intrigued.

"Nothing" He shrugged pretending as if he didn't talk.

"You're a weird boy, stalker." She tells him. The concrete floor felt like it was literally on flames although they had shoes on.

"Like you're any better," Jordan replied. She kissed her teeth looking down at herself. Her clothes were still soaked and uncomfortable on her.

"What?" He noticed her discomfort.

"I just didn't bring any extra clothes and well these are pretty wet." She embarrassingly confessed. After all, it was her idea to get in the pool fully clothed.

"You can use something of mine" He assured her.

"Oh you don't have to"

"C'mon follow me." He walked up and led her towards the house.

At that moment, Georgina appears in the jacuzzi with a magazine and apple juice by her side. She was weather a pink bathing suit and floaties in both arms. Pretty useless considering she's in a small water space.

Jordan and Harley laughed at each other at the adorable sight and went inside.

After lending her his letterman jacket and denim shorts, letting her change in the bathroom. She came out wearing the longer-sized attire. He couldn't help but smile seeing her in garments he once wore on himself.

"How do I look?" She posed with her hand on her hip. He chuckled nodding as she twirled.

"Like the female version of me." He half complimented. She grimaced pretending to cringe.

"Um, I was thinking of going to the store and getting some groceries. Mom left a note on the fridge of foods we need so I thought I'd bring it myself."

"Yeah go ahead." She agreed. He grinned and nodded before making his way out.

Time later

Georgina had ordered them to let her stay in the jacuzzi while it gets cooler. So Harley decided to wait outside in the front yard.

She sat on the porch, swinging herself on it. Her gaze was fixed on the house across. There was a car parked in front of it, meaning she was home. Which means she could go see how she's doing. She would try to make amends or something.

"Are you okay?" Georgina came out the door and asked. She sighed after being pulled out of her thoughts.

"Oh yeah, it's just Dayanna is still mad at me." She stated sadly. Georgina glanced at the house across.

"You should apologize." She advised.

"What?"

"You were the one in the wrong, therefore you should be the one apologizing to her." She patted her back and said.

"George don't be ridiculous. How could I ever be in the wrong?" Harley chuckled.

"Well, I see why don't have any friends," Georgina commented. Harley gasped offended.

"Are you not my friend?" She asked fake pouting.

"No thanks."

"You're right though, I should go talk to her." She nods.

"I'm back," Jordan yells making known of his presence. They turned to him who was holding a brown grocery full bag.

"Hey" He greeted them going up the small porch steps.

"What's up?" Harley asked as he gave Georgina the groceries and told her to put them inside.

"You won't believe the news going around today" He explained as he sat down breathing heavily.

"Oh really?" Harley asked unimpressed. She was still thinking about how she was going to apologize to Dayanna. He nodded. "A little birdie on the way told me this."

"I heard your brother and the other rejects got kicked out of the pool today." He explained roughly with a smirk.

"How?" She furrowed her eyebrows giving him her full attention. Jordan shrugged throwing his hands up.

"Supposedly one of them kissed a lifeguard without her consent. What a pathetic loser." He added.

"Who?" She sat up and asked.

"The one with glasses. "

"Bertram?" She questioned scooted away.

"No the shorter one." He corrected.

"Squints?!"

"Mhm," He gladly hummed.

"Goddamnit, Ham." She sighed.

"You Porters have a way into trouble don't you?" He poked fun at her.

"And you Phillips don't know how to shut your mouth?" She fired back.

"Are you alright?" He asked observing her closely noticing her upsetting face.

"Not really. I think I'm going to go to Dayanna's and talk." She said standing up to leave.

"Want me to come with you?" He asked as she approached the house.

"Yes," She approved.

"You sure?" They walked side by side to the door.

"Yeah, I mean what's the worse that can happen?" She asks after knocking on the door.

Dayanna opened not too long after. She was quick to close it on them from just seeing a glimpse of Harley's face. Dayanna rolled her eyes and shut the door on them.

The two knocked again not thinking of giving up that easily.

"What do want?" She asked annoyed to see them.

"I just came here to talk," Harley responded honestly.

"No no Dayanna please." Jordan didn't budge and was fast enough to kick his foot in the doorway. This preventing Dayanna from closing it completely. The girl paused and eyed the boy.

"Listen okay, she has something important to tell you." He spoke for Harley.

"She does?"

"I do." Harley smiled.

"Come in," She let them in. She leads them to her room where they would talk.

"What is it?" She asked them as they went in. Harley and Jordan glance at each other as a preparation for her to talk.

"I'm sorry." She said walking up to her. Digging in her pockets she took out a crumpled piece of paper and gave it to her.

Dayanna unfolded it to see it was a drawing of two girls. Very colorful and detailed, it was easy to recognize it was of both of them. She was happy to know her friend thought of her.

"Is this an apology?" She asked.

"Yes, you deserve one. I've been a disappointment of a friend to you. You have been my one and only friend throughout these years and I was stupid enough to let you go."

"I take too many good things in my life for granted. Sometimes, I lose them because of this reason. And now one of those things is you."

"I don't expect you to forgive me after everything."

"I don't deserve you anyway." She shook her head self-aware of her actions.

"Let's go" Harley gave up. She signaled Jordan to the door.

She was the first on her way out. He just stood in front of Dayanna as she contemplated her whole life. He curled his lips into a line and nodded in a parting manner.

Gloomily, Harley was ready to go back home and drown in her depression. He turned around walking up behind her. But just as they were about to leave the room Dayanna spoke up.

"Wait!" She raised her voice for the first time. The two pause and glance at her.

"What you did was wrong." She admitted crossing her arms. Harley looked down sadly.

"But everyone makes mistakes. And everyone always needs a second chance." Dayanna said cheering up the mood. Harley stared up with her eyes light up.

"I agree" Jordan smiled.

"Does that mean you forgive me?" Asked Harley walking up to Dayanna nervously. Dayanna hummed thoughtfully creating suspense.

"Yes, I forgive you."

"Come here." She pulled the redhead into a hug. That would be the very first hug Harley received in a long time. Jordan watched as both friends reconcile, delighted for his new friend.

Harley leaned into Dayanna's shoulder as her back was being patted. She stared down feeling accomplished once again. Her eyes flew up to the curtainless window in front of her. From what she could see people were going in and out of the main entrance of the Philips. A lot of people.

"What's that?"  She panicked making Dayanna turn around.

"What's what-"

"Who are those people?" Harley's index finger pointed at them.

"Oh shit!" Jordan shrieks as he gets a glimpse of the sight. He immediately runs for the door and races out of her house. Dayanna and Harley were left confused but curious enough to follow along.

Anxious and worried it might be what he thought it was, he bounced on the porch and slid to the entrance.

The first thing visible to his eyes was the throng hindering at the way in. He was beyond addled and disoriented. Pushing through the crowd he tried to find an exit from the mess.

"Georgina!" He shouted. Just then, he felt a hand wrap around his arm and pull him out of the crowd.

"There you are!" Alice screeched bringing him into another crowd of people. "We've been waiting for you."

"What? What are you doing here? Who are these people? And why are they in my house?" He began to ask alarmed.

"What are you talking about silly? This is your party remembers?" She clarified. The people surrounding him stared at him as if he was crazy for not recognizing them.

"Party?" He questioned looking around the house filled with people. Alice nodded and gripped his arm once again taking him into an unknown location.

A few seconds afterward, Harley and Dayanna entered the packed house party.

After having to go through the wave of people blocking the entrance they made it out. An intense gasp escaped their mouths seeing the destruction created by those same people.

Cups and food all over the place, spilled drinks leaking from the couch, and random pool items sitting at the dining room table. Just a few of the many messes found.

"What the hell?" Harley screamed picking up an alcohol l filled boot at her feet.

"Who are these people?" Dayanna whispered freaking out as well.

"I have no idea but this is bad. Bad." She answered shaking her head.

"And I have a feeling I know who's behind it all." Her view searching for Jordan.

While others laughed, conversed, and talked they hesitantly walked through the living room. Dayanna pointed at the transparent exit to the backyard.

People bounced off the diving board and swam in the pool she "drowned" in earlier. In the scene, they could also see Georgina watching after them and talking to those people. From what they presumed she was ordering them something.

Harley quickly ran outside to help. The sky was darker now, it was way past six in the afternoon. So the pool reflected brighter.

"Georgina are you okay?" She held on to her shoulders and kneeled. Georgina nodded with an unsettling look.

"They are taking over the house." She cried.

"Did you let them in?" Dayanna asked.

"Not exactly, they just told me they were Jordan's friends and rushed inside without asking."  She explained. Harley hummed nodding. She now confirmed it was his fault.

"Alright, you two keep an eye on these people and make sure they don't destroy anything." She warned them heading inside. In that same instant, a cracking noise was heard.

"Anything else." She corrected herself. They agreed as she strolled past everyone.

"Where's Jordan?" She asked a random boy. He pointed upstairs making her roll her eyes when spotting Jordan and Alice behind the stair railing.

She fastly followed up the stairs angrily. The blood inside her was boiling hotter than the climate earlier today.

"Phillips!" She yelled.

Skipping furiously to the popular group from school she found his back. She tapped on his arm making him turn around.

"What is the meaning of this?" She shouted.

"I can explain-"

"Harley hey!" Alice welcomed. Harley rolled her eyes and ignored her comment.

"You better. What's going on?"

"I may or may not have made a bad decision." He said scratching the back of his neck.

"Inviting us to a Friday night party is a bad decision?" Alice and the other idiots asked jokingly. Harley's mouth dropped.

"You did what now?" She screamed shockingly.

"No this all a huge misunderstanding" He tried to explain himself. But before he could do any further talking someone bumped into Harley.

She quickly tossed her head up and looked at who it was. It was some boy from middle school she knew who happened to be a little league as well.

"Woah Harley looking good since the last time we met." He flirted checking her out. Jordan immediately realized the way he was staring at her and sparked something in him.

"Ay, ay" He clapped in his face "Eyes up here, buddy" he snapped his fingers pointing at his eyes.

The guy rolled his eyes and walked away. Jordan was the leader, after all, so he took this as a warning. Harley took no notice of this and went back to the original argument.

"What is your problem?" She claimed outraged.

"What do you mean?" He shook his head dismayed.

"Don't be play dumb. I know damn well you organized this party to get me fired!" She saw right through him.

"Didn't you?" She whispered holding back a scream. He kept his head down not wanting to admit to it.

She stepped away not being able to be near him any second. Facing away she was ready to run out. But he jerked her hand making her turn to him.

But before she could see him, her clenched fist met his face. Punching him right between his eyes and mouth, he fell backward. The sudden violent act caught everyone off guard.

Some cheered, others "oohed" but Harley regretted it almost immediately after seeing his nose bleed. All he did was gasp as his only reaction. He glared up at her embarrassed and humiliated.

"Everyone leave!" Dayanna's faint voice from downstairs demanded.

"NOW!" She yelled stomping hard on the coffee table she stood on.

Then, everyone started gathering over to the exit sensing the tension. It was clear things got ugly. Real ugly.

"I'm sorry" Harley hurried to help him up. He didn't even object as the punch almost left him unconscious.

Soon, no one was left at the party. Even Alice decided it was better to go home.

                                 • • •

Wiping the red off his upper lip with a rag, she helped clean off the blood. His nose was fine but it was just bleeding from the impact.

He looked up at the ceiling the whole time she tidied up himself. He wasn't exactly mad at her for doing what she did, he knew well he was one to blame. He was just embarrassed people saw it happen.

They were in the kitchen while Dayanna and Georgina picked up the mess the party left with trash bags.

"You're all done." She said finishing off and throwing the rag in the sink.

"Thanks," He half-smiled.

"For what? Punching you in the face?" She chuckled.

"For helping clean me up."

"It was well-deserved." He confessed.

"The punch?" She questioned in laughter.

"Yeah, after all, I did try to sabotage you." He said.

"I hate you." She scowled.

"Me too." He agreed.

"Hey lovebirds, think you could help us out here?" Georgina sassily asked from the other room. They rolled their eyes and cackle.

"We are don't worry!" Harley answered loudly.

"Let's go" she whispered to him.

They were about to exit the kitchen when they heard the sound of keys unlocking. They instantly froze in their place ready for the worst.

A woman's scream echoed all over the house. The two grimace to each other understanding the trouble they're in.

"WHAT HAPPENED HERE?!" Karen's not-so-far-away voice asked.

Oh shit.
