ALRIGHT, LET'S GET ON WITH THE STORY! Also, if you guys want me to write a fanfic for other characters, please leave a comment coz I'm trying to make a fanfic for each AOT character.
--------------------

Light hurried footsteps were heard rushing through the hallway of the wooden house, the boards creaking at the pressure that was being applied to them, alerting the woman who waited patiently in bed for her daughter to come home.

"Mamma! Mamma! Guess what!" Came your voice, strained from running all the way from the training grounds to your small little home. "We did it Mamma! I was chosen to be the Stone Titan! Can you believe it!?" (P.s that's a Titan I came up with. Details are in chapter 9.)

You exclaimed with excitement while giddily hopping up and down, waving your little arms all over the place. You reached into your school bag and brought out the two red pieces of fabric, signaling a new beginning for the both of you.

"Sweetheart, I'm so proud of you. That's my little hard worker!" The fragile woman let out a sigh of relief as she combed her fingers through your hair from her bed. "Thanks to your hard work it's that I'm still alive today. Because of your sacrifice it's that I can afford my medicine to keep me going." She sniffled while cupping one of your cheeks into her hand.

It's been a couple of years that's she's been infected with this strange desease, doctors were still assigning her medications and remedies while you worked everything you had to provide her the money for proper care. Or at least as close as Eldians can get to proper health care.

You had become a warrior to help afford her medication ever since your father had passed away. It's been about a year now... He had gotten executed for going outside the intermediate zone to seek medicine for her against the governments will.

He had asked for a permit but wasn't granted one... few options remained for your family, causing it to spiral down a path of depression, leaving you to care for your Mother alone.

All that was left to do was work. Work hard and keep the both of you alive. The simplest thing you could do to earn money and respect was become a warrior, fighting tooth and nail to push your way to the top to become honorary Marleyans.

That way she wouldn't have to worry about suffering the same fate as your Father. His absence had caused even more pain for her, now single mother, sick, and doing the best she could to take care of you, she was tired, Anyone could tell from afar how sick and tired she is.

"Y/n, listen close my dear, your Father would have been so proud of you," she whispered as her wrinkled dull eyes swelled up with crystal clear tears. You were quick to jump and hug her, burring your face into the warmth of her embrace, her hand gently patting the back of your head.

"Please don't cry Mama, I'm sure he's watching us and he will protect me while I leave for my mission. He's going to look after me and you while we're apart." You couldn't hide for long your own tears that began to pool in your eyes, making your grip on her tighten just a bit.

-

"I might not be able to go bid you goodbye tomorrow but I will try, promise me that you'll take care of yourself, those island devils are inhuman and bad. You need to promise me you'll return. I need to know that I won't loose you as well as I lost your father! Please!" She exclaimed while brushing loose strands of hair behind my ears. I hugged her once more, even tighter than before.

"I promise... those island devils, they won't get away with leaving us here! I'll come back to you I promise!" I pledged, full of confidence with a huge reassuring smile on plastered across my face. She smiled at me and kissed my forehead, after wiping away her tears. After she finished letting her emotions out about me leaving, I went to get my clothes and necessities ready. Packing the bare minimum to keep me alive in those days that lay ahead of me.

-

We met up near the doc after the parade they held for the warriors that would be taking off to Paradis. As it took off I waved to all the people who were bidding us goodbye. Mother wasn't able to make it since she hadn't been feeling well enough to go see her only daughter leave home. I imagined as if she was there, trying to get some sort of comfort in that imagination. The blue crystal ocean captivated my gaze as the boat swayed from side to side, further and further away from shore.

"Annie... do you think we'll be able to make it back?" I asked with worry laced in my voice. The cold hearted blond was standing next to me, admiring the sea as well. Her blue eyes turned towards me.

"Maybe, I am not sure, we should get some rest though, we are going to need it once we arrive..." she responded with the same longing in her voice. She didn't show it but she wanted to return home to her father's arms, just like I longed to return home to my mother's embrace.

Annie was never the one to show emotions, but as a close friend, and fellow comrade of hers, I knew exactly how to read her. We both went back into the inside of the boat to get some hours of sleep with Marcel, Reiner, and Bertoldt trailing behind us. The sun was setting in the horizon, painting the sky with a pink, and purple tint.

-

The next day we arrived at the island. As we got on our horses and rode towards the walls, the birds flew across the sky, soaring back to the ocean. After long hours of riding the sky began to darken, we decided to camp out on an open field that seemed inhabited by humans nor titans. By the time we set up camp the night sky was already dark. The campfire burned lowly as Marcel and Reiner began what seemed to be a heated argument over why he got chosen to be the armored instead of Porco, who was obviously ahead of him on a different level.

"I'm sorry Reiner... you were never meant to be chosen as a Titan holder..." Marcel confessed with sadness coated in his voice. "I influenced the military to put you on a pedestal... and made my brother seem like a bad choice, I just wanted to help him... that way he would be able to live a long life... I did it to protect him..."

My eyes widened at what Marcel has just confessed, if he had gotten caught fooling the government then who knows what they would have done to him and his family. Reiner immediately stood up to process what Marcel had just claimed. Time seemed to have frozen when the ground began to cry below us.

A Titan arose out of from under where we had set up camp. It lunged over to grab Reiner, but missed when Marcel pushed him away of the grip of the Titan, immediately being grabbed in his place. We had all completely lost it. Our comrade was just eaten... just like that our whole mission took a turn. Reiner was the first to run out of panic as Annie, Bertoldt and I ran after him.

Annie found him on one of the far away trees. She immediately began beating him up for leaving Marcel behind. Truth be told I believed that it was the fault of all of us for leaving him behind. We had the chance to transform and capture the person who ate him, but instead, we ran. And left him to die.

Reiner still wanted to continue with the mission. Annie, Bertolt, and I wanted to go back home and let Marley decide the rest. The loud bickering continued and lead to them fighting as Bertolt and I moved away from the two, the stress was over bearing abs the yelling didn't help at all.

"Stop fighting damnit!" I yelled as tears began to escape my eyes. I just couldn't process it.

Marcel was dead.

We left him behind.

It was our fault he was dead.

What were we going to tell Porco?

'We left your brother for dead and ran away leaving him behind.'

What were we going to do now?

After Annie and Reiner finished their fight, we let Reiner decide to continue our mission to Paradis. Annie transformed while we clang on to her Titan form tightly. We were getting close to the walls and she was growing even more tired with every step she took. A huge hoard of titans were close behind us, trailing our every move ever since we approached the walls.

"THERE! THE WALL IS ALMOST INSIGHT! GO BERTOLDT! TRANSFORM AND BREAK IT DOWN!" I yelled while Bertolt nodded and jumped off to transform. Annie rushed out of her Titan while falling unconscious in the process due to over use of stamina. I picked her up and climbed onto Reiner's shoulder while Bertoldt broke down the gate to Shiganshina.

-

Bertoldt, Annie, and I clung onto Reiner's Titan, he began running through Shiganshina and into wall Maria. We were busting this whole area down and killing everyone who stood in our way.

Screaming, yelling, and crashed were all I remembered after dragging Annie away from the falling rocks in front of the gate to wall Maria. I felt something collide against my head, muffled voices and then everything went pitch black. I was knocked out.

When I awoke Reiner told me and Annie that we were in a refugee house in Trost, located in wall Rose.

"Annie, y/n I'm sorry, I'm so sorry for what we did to Marcel and for fighting against you." He spoke with sadness laced in his voice.

"If we want to make it out of here we need to be a team, I know it'll be hard without Marcel but he's gone. There's no going back. As much as I miss him we can't let this bring the mission down" I whispered as a single tear rolled down my cheek.

"We must... fight" I added. My eyes trailed along the people of the refugee, I noticed a chocolate-haired boy with the most beautiful eyes I had ever seen. They seemed to reflect a forest in the middle of a golden sunset. No, the ocean in the middle of a storm... or both? A forest in front of an ocean, with a beautiful sunset in the horizon.

We shared eye contact for a second until I looked away. "This is going to be one hell of a mission..." I whispered to myself.
