~Shalnarks POV~
Uvogin never came back to us after his fight with the chain user. I'm getting severely worried about Y/n's safety. I told her to stay on the down low.
She knows my line of work and she supports me fully which is one of the many reasons on why I love her.
Shes a tough girl I know she can protect herself but I cant help but worry.
I come back to reality when I realize that the meeting was over and we could go home for the day.
I grab my bag and head out of the hideout. I was deep in thought when a buzzing sound snapped me out of it.
It was my phone. I took it out of my pocket to see that Y/n sent me a message. I open it and my heart feels like it dropped.
There she was tied up, injured and bloody. I felt myself stop walking leaving me in the middle of the sidewalk.
I couldnt do anything bit stare in shock and discomfort. But those feelings quickly switched over to anger and fear.
I couldnt just let the one other person I love and care about leave my life. Not now... I care way to much about her to ever leave me.. atleast not like this.
Its like my legs had a mind of there own and I felt myself sprinting down the street to our shared apartment hopeing that it was all just an illusion and my dear was just peacefully resting in our bedroom.
I tried picking up my pace even though I'm moving as fast as I possibly can. And just like that I find myself in front of our apartment.
I waste no time and hurry my way inside. Every second felt like an entirely as I hastily enter the elevator then pressing the button for the 17th floor.
The elevator shock as it start ascending up towards the high up floor. As the elevator got close I felt myself growing more anxious by the second.
The elevator dinged and I was out in less than a second. Quickly I dashed down the hall.
I stop and hesitate before grabbing the doorknob.
Shes fine.. my dearly is A-okay
I tell myself. I turn the knob and throw the door open. As the door swings open the foul smell of blood hits my nostrils.
I gag at the sudden stench. And avert my eyes. When I finally look up all I see is broken furniture and blood splatters spewed along the walls.
I rush into the room and quickly rush to the bedroom praying that maybe just maybe she'd be okay.
Holding onto that little shred of hope I had, I throw the door open. All I see is a bloody mess, a blood splattered knife on the floor, and a shattered balcony window.
I quickly make my way over to the broken window and peer out of it. I look over to the bed to see a neatly placed note.
I waste no time to opening it.

I froze. I slowly took my phone from my pocket call Phinks and tell him what's happening. After a few minutes on deciding what to do we agree on meeting just outside the location with a pair of copied of the scarlett eyes that Kortopi would make.
We end the call and I enter the location into my phone. I had to take the subway to get close to it which I wasn't very comfortable with but if it get me to my princess I'll do anything.
After 15 minutes on the subway, it comes to a stop. I quickly get off and start speed walking in the meet up spot.

After a while of walking I found myself on the shady end of the city with a lot more run down buildings and other criminals doing there on thing.
I take my phone out and text Phinks that I'm here. Not even a second later I hear my whisper yell to me from the side. I look over and see Phinks, Kortopi, machi, and feitan.
I quickly make my way inside the rusted building. "You got the eyes?" I ask. Kortopi nods and hands the copied scarlett eyes.
"Wow these are really realistic I didnt think your copies would look so real." I said taking the eyes and holding up in front of me to get a better look at them.
"Their the real copy" Kortopi said which caught me off guard. "Wait didnt we agree on giving them a fake copy?!" I exclaimed.
"Yes but we know that Y/n matters a lot more to you than some rare eyes... and shes like family to us to so better to just give him what he wants." Machi spoke up.
"Y/n. Your. Princess. She. Is. More. Important." Feitan added on. I stare at them in shock and smile softly.
"Now go get your girl back before we do it for you!" Phinks said smiling and pointing to himself.
I nodded and turn to the exit. I start walking off and try to look tough. Our meeting spot wasnt far from the location the chain user wanted to met at so it didnt take very long to get there.
I stop outside the old worn-down building and take a deep breath. I care walk inside to find my beloved who is unconscious and four boys looking at me.
I recognize two of them as the children we met the other night from when they defeated Shizuku in an arm wresting match.
I stop a good distance away with my eyes locked on Y/n's bloody chained up unconscious form. "Shes alive just unconscious dont worry." The blonde guy spoke up.
My eyes darted from Y/n to the blonde male. "I'll give you the girl if you give me the scarlett eyes. Do we have a deal?" He asked.
I vigorously nodded my head in agreement. I just want to hold my beloved in my arms once more.
He then proceed to carefully pick Y/n up and walk over to me. I set down the eyes and hold out my arms to get a hold of Y/n.
He hesitantly places Y/n into my arms and quickly picks up the eyes inspecting them throughly.
"Well are they real?" The tall goldfish looking man said in a whiny tone. There was silence for a moment.
"I'm pretty sure they're real so you..." he looked back at me. "Leave now you have what you came for... but if they turn out to be fakes I wont hesitate to kill her" he said in a somewhat menacing tone.
I turn and speed walk over to were the troupe meeting spot was. "Machi! Please can you use your nen stitches and help Y/n?!" I begged.
All she did was nod and motion for me to place Y/n down. I did so. And like that Machi got to work on stitching her wounds.
Once amachi finished she left without a word. I pick Y/n back up and kiss her forehead gently. "I'm gonna go back to my apartment.. Night guys!" I said slowly returning back to my cheerful tone ecstatic to have the one I love back with me once more.

~Y/n's POV~
I slowly open my eyes to see that I'm in my bedroom. It was spotless. I shoot up confessed and worried. I feel something going across my waist.
I look to my right to see Shal peaceful sleeping.
I let out a confused 'huh?' From shock from seeing him. Was the attack just a dream?
Shal moves a bit before opening his eyes. He looked up at him tiredly before smiling wide.
"Good morning princess I'm so glad finally awake. You've been asleep for a couple of days" he said while leaning up and brushing some of my hair from my face.
I gave him a confused look. "I'm not surprised you might not remember.. You were attack and taken capture by the Chain User but dont worry I got you back my dear..." he said before kissing my forehead and pulling me into a tight hug.
"Please be more careful you really scared me" he whispered. "I promise I'll try an be more careful my love..." I quietly say.
We stayed in that position for a while as we both slowly drifted back to sleep in eachothers arms.

I really wanna go to Japan! Or anywhere that's not my state since I've never left it. Hell I'd be happy just to go to the beach bc I've never been!
What inspired you to write a oneshot book on Shalnark?
I've loved his character since he first got introduced and I was really sad that he didnt get much screentime so when I went to find some books on him, I didnt find any so I decided I could be the first or one of the first people to make one!
What are your plans when this book gets 100,000 reads?
I'm gonna cry probably bc I didnt even think we'd get to 10k but here we are. I'm probably gonna write a really special chapter and a big thank you!
Are you still doing requests?
Maybe I'll probably say yes but it takes me a really long time to write them since this chapter request is weeks old but it was requested when I was having surgery stuff done so it got HELLA pushed back but I'd say yea requests are open still!
What's your favorite food?
Hot wings!! I love spicy foods! That or fried chicken. Or chicken in general... Chickens delicious!
