She sat on the one of the couches in the lobby designated for the interviewees. She looked around and everyone was busy practicing their possible answers, some even have cards which they wrote random questions and answered it by themselves. She just sat there quietly and prayed for good luck. If it wasn't for her mother's desire to make her dad proud she wouldn't be applying for a double major.
Being the illegitimate daughter of the university director is already hard, why must she put herself in a situation that she's certainly cannot persist? She wanted to be an actress not some kind of robot who pleases her father's family. However, she also wanted to prove something. So, even though it's going to be tough she must endure it. She needs to pass this interview. No, she has to.
"Uh, excuse me? Can I sit here?" She heard a voice.
She isn't planning on sitting with someone, she needs her space. She needs her focus. She was about to tell the girl to just sit on other vacant seats but when she looked up, she forgot what she was about to say.
It was like looking up to an angel.
She thought she was staring too long so she looked down again, went back to fidgeting her fingers to ease her stress, then she nodded. She can't talk. Not in front of this lovely angel-like human being. And now she sits beside her.
Maybe she was trembling too much. Trying to shake off all her nerves and stress. She feels like she's about to pass out. A lot of scenarios are going inside her mind. What if she didn't pass? What will her mom say? What will her father think? What will her father's family think? She grew up with the mindset of not letting down her father. She grew up wanting attention from her mother who did nothing but to kiss his father's shoes just so he wouldn't disregard her as the member of the family.
All these years she wanted recognition and attention from the people she care about and she didn't expect to receive it from someone she didn't even know.
"Here, have some of this" she saw one candy landed on her lap.
"It calms my nerves. Hope it does the same to you. It's yummy, taste like strawberries" she heard.
She stared at that single candy with a cute wrapper. She doesn't understand but the small gesture warms her heart.
"Oh no. Wait. You don't have allergies, I hope" the girl said.
She shook her head, to say no. She haven't found her voice yet and maybe she wouldn't. She opened the candy and shyly took it in her mouth. She put the wrapper inside her pocket. She intends to keep it as a reminder of a beautiful first meeting.
"Uh, do you want some music? It's Jennie Kim though. Her voice somehow ease my mind for a while" the girl said offering one of her airpods.
Again she shook her head, no. She doesn't like Jennie Kim, well not Jennie Kim per se, she isn't fond of listening to Korean pop in general, it doesn't looks like it but she prefers Korean ballads and the classics.
And this girl's voice is so soothing like she was singing by the way she talks. Perhaps she found another genre that she want to drown in. She wanted to see her face again, she wanted to memorize how angels looks like in case she doesn't fit in heaven.
So she bravely looked beside her, wanting to take a peek only to be surprised that the girl is also looking at her maybe wondering how she looks like since she was just looking down the whole time. She wanted to look away, she was embarrassed to be caught in the act. However this girl is so full of surprises.
"Oh my, you are so pretty. You can be a model or an actress!" The girl exclaimed.
Her cheeks felt warm, she has this urge to cover her face and just look down again. She can see the girl's amusement and her smile still linger in her mind.
"Sorry for being talkative, hehe. I didn't mean to make you uncomfortable. Actually I'm also anxious about this interview" the girl said.
She smiled while listening to her talk. It feels like magic. Now she feels at ease, the girl continued on talking, she wasn't really paying attention. She just like how her voice affects her whole being.
"Oh my, how rude of me! I haven't even introduced myself. My name is-"
"Miss Park Chaeyoung? Is Miss Park here?" They heard the receptionist said.
"And yeah that's me. Uh I guess I need to go. I'll see you around. And uh good luck!" The girl said and went over to the receptionist and get her room number and proceed to her interview.
She just sat there and watched the girl leave. She didn't had the chance to tell her her name, but she's going to make sure that she'll never forget it once she does.
A smile slowly appear on her face. She felt a new surge of emotions invading her system. The warm feeling of being complimented without asking for it. The feeling as the girl's voice slowly envelopes her mind. The feeling of having someone's attention solely into her.
And she wanted more of it.
More attention.
More compliments.
More of her.
She wanted more of Park Chaeyoung.
"Miss Han So Hee" she heard the receptionist.
She stood up and went over the desk.
"I'm here" she said confidently.

"Park Chaeyoung, how could you forget that easily?" She said to no one in particular as she watched the house.
"But I just realized that you've been hinting that you are Jennie Kim's. How could I missed that out?" She said again as she crumpled that photo of Jennie wrapping a coat on Chaeyoung's waist as they discreetly walked inside one of the restrooms in the university.

"Told you you'll kiss and make up" Wendy teased.
"Hey~! Stop teasing me already~" Chaeyoung whined.
"How was it?" Wendy asked.
"Not telling" Chaeyoung said and strummed her guitar.
"Joohyun's lips taste like cherries when we first kissed and I've been addicted since then" Wendy said.
"Wendy! Too much!" Chaeyoung exclaimed.
"What? It's true though" Wendy just laughed at her best friend.
"So?" Wendy insisted.
"Strawberries" she shyly admits.
"Add some whipped cream for some action" Wendy told her.
"SON SEUNGWAN! YOU AND YOUR PERVERTED BRAIN!" Chaeyoung harshly whispered, she can't shout since the two idols are resting.
"It was subtle but you understood it means you too, Chae. You too" Wendy laughed at the whining Park Chaeyoung.

The snow stopped already that afternoon, it didn't really snowed that hard but it's becoming colder and colder. Weather reports said that it will snow more as Christmas gets near.
She felt chills when a warm pair of arms encircled around her waist then she felt a kiss on her shoulders. Irene also appeared beside Wendy, who tried to sneak a peek on their notebook.
"Babe, I told you just wait for the winter fest, okay?" Wendy scolded Irene.
"Fine" Irene groaned.
"I bet it will be the most beautiful performance on the festival" Jennie said.
"Save your compliments on the day it self, hon" Chaeyoung said.
Then suddenly, Irene burst into laughter and whispered something to Wendy which cause her to laugh also. The married couple looks at them weirdly.
"What are you laughing at?" Jennie asked.
"You look funny hugging Chaeyoung from the back since she's taller than you" Irene said.
"She's also taller than you" Jennie said.
"At least my height is perfect for my Wannie" Irene said and stick out her tongue at Jennie.
Jennie just made a funny face because she knows that Irene was just teasing her. She felt Chaeyoung laughed along with the two so she pouted and looked her wife. Chaeyoung looked at her and automatically wiped her pout with a kiss.
Jennie was flustered but wanted more, thankful that Chaeyoung opened up big time. She was about to grab Chaeyoung's neck down and crash her lips onto her but then they both heard some kissing sounds followed by laughter. Irene and Wendy will not stop teasing the both of them. They need to be in the comforts of their home for Jennie to get the privacy that she wanted with Chaeyoung.
"Ugh! Joohyun you are so annoying" Jennie said.
"Now now relax. They are just teasing" Chaeyoung said.
"So, any plans?" Wendy asked.
The two idols just shrugged. Wendy eyed Chaeyoung so they could suggest something. Although they knew it will be a bit risky but there is no harm in trying.
"You two up for some street food date?" Wendy asked.
Silence, Jennie and Irene looked at each other. There's no problem, they are just worried for one thing.
"It's okay if you don't want we can have other alternative things that we can do" Chaeyoung said.
"It's fine for me" Irene said.
"Yeah" Jennie agreed.
"Really?!" Both Chaeyoung and Wendy asked.
"Yes" Irene said and Jennie nodded.
"Yey!" Chaeyoung said.
She loves street food night and tonight's extra happy because she'll be able to be with Jennie.
"Let's go, get ready" Wendy said and dragged Irene to their room same as Chaeyoung to Jennie.
"Dress up warmly, love. Also get your things, we're going straight home after" Jennie said.
"Okay!" Chaeyoung answered excitedly.
