I just wish things would be like they used to
But they never will now I see right through you
Wish you could tell me all the ways that I miss you
Baby, I'd be lying if I didn't say I wish you'd stay
Stay by,
Why don't we

The dinner party is tonight.. I'm sure Harry would be there too, Slughorn's been praising him for ages. Surprisingly, Blaise got invited too.
Professor Slughorn has called me to meet him after class, he said it's about my grades. And they are horrendous, to be fair. I'm no master in potions, unlike my twin brother.
I approach the Professor with a polite smile, "You said you wanted to speak, Professor?" The professor nods, "Ah yes, Miss Malfoy. I'm sorry, but i can't help but notice that your grades are.. Falling off a little."
"Oh really? Oh wow- What can i do to fix it, Professor?"
"Not to worry," The professor smiles, "I see potential in you. I know you can do better, but something is maybe bugging your mind. Your love life, perhaps?"
My eyes widen, and i feel my cheeks heating up. Yes, my love life is a part of the things hat's been bothering me, but it isn't just any other problem. I smile awkwardly to Professor Slughorn, feeling the nervous tension now. I don't really like it when someone brings up my love life out of the blue. I don't really feel comfortable talking about that stuff now.
Slughorn chuckles, "Forgive me, if i've touched on a sensitive subject. But i know just the way to fix your grades."
"Oh? How, sir?" I raise my eyebrows and asks. The professor says, "I've assigned my best student to help you, he shall be arriving soon."
Best student? Hermione is one of the best, but the Professor says "He." Draco is brilliant at potions, but he's busy mending the cabinet, and he hasn't mentioned this to me or talked about school at all. So who could it possibly be?
"May i ask who, Professor?"
"You'll see for yourself," The professor laughs, as he walks towards the exit of the classroom, "Now, i must excuse myself. Best of luck to you, Malfoy."
"Thank you, Professor," I smile at him, as he exits the class. While waiting for this "best student", i set my books down on the nearest desk, and sit down on one of the stool chairs.
Suddenly, someone comes in the room, "Hi, Bubbles," He greets me. I take a quick glance of him and greet him back, "Hey, Harry."
I furrow my eyebrows once i realise who i was talking to. Harry Potter. I look back at him again, seeing him carrying one of the stool chairs and setting it down beside me.
My eyebrows furrow deeper, baffled and confused, "Harry? What are you doing here?" He shrugs, "Well, i guess i'll be your tutor."
"Tutor?" I scoff, "You're just as clueless as i am in potions."
"Not according to Professor Slughorn," Harry smirks, sitting down beside me. I sigh, "Harry, i haven't got time for tutoring. You know i only take like 3 classes."
"That reminds me," He furrows his eyebrows, "What have you been up to Y/n?"
I take a deep breath. If i can't outwardly tell him, at least i have to warn him, "I'm trying my best to slow them down."
"Slow who down?" He asks, moving closer to me. I sigh before giving him a reply, "Look, Harry. Something is happening, it will come. But i can't tell you."
"Why?" Harry asks me curiously. I huff in response, "Just know that i'm trying, okay?"
"Okay," He nods, "I believe you."
"Let's get to the lesson, shall we?" I give him a smile, opening my book. If this is a tutoring session, let's make it a good one. No need to discuss anything other than the subject. I'm trying to get better grades here.
"About that.." Harry awkwardly chuckles, scratching his head, "I'm not as amazing as you think."
"What do you mean?" I say as i look at him, confused. He then pulls his backpack, and begins to search for something.
"I found this book.." He hands it over to me, "It says it belongs to the half blood prince. It has loads of awesome spells, and also instructions for brewing potions."
"So you're a cheat," I chuckle, crossing my arms. Harry shrugs with a smirk, "Slughorn doesn't know."
"That's a win for you then," I say to Harry, shaking my head and smiling at the boy.
"Hermione says i should return it," Harry tells me.
Of course Hermione wants him to do that.
"I say... No," I shrug, "You can use it to study, same use as any other book."
"Have you heard of these spells?" Harry opens the book, pointing to one of the pages. "Not a clue," I say as i study the book, reading every strange word.
"But you best master these spells, Harry," I look up at him, "Could be a good use. Like i said, something's happening."
"I don't think i'm ready, Y/n," Harry frowns. I rest my hand on his shoulder for reassurance, "You have to be."
"Will you be there with me?" Harry asks, looking straight into my eyes. Then the conversation pauses. Neither of us say anything, just looking at each other.
Until i eventually break eye contact, and stand up from my stool.
"Well um.. Seeing that you can't tutor me, and i have to be somewhere else, i'm just going to leave. See you around."
"Y/n," Harry holds me back, "Will you be there with me?"
"I wish i could," I softly say to him, frowning.
"But things aren't like how they used to be, Harry," I continue, as i gently push his hand off mine, and exit the classroom.
。☆✼★━━━━━━━━━━━━★✼☆。
Blaise picks me up outside of my common room, and we walk together to Slughorn's dinner. Harry hasn't popped out of his dorm, and i don't have a reason to wait for him anyway.
I'm wearing a long-sleeve deep red dress. I have to wear long sleeve clothes all of the time now, wouldn't want my mark to be visible.
When we arrive, Blaise and i take seats beside each other, across Hermione. Soon enough, comes Harry, sitting beside Hermione, directly across me.
Harry and i would make eye contact occasionally, but i'd look away everytime. I really don't want to make this harder for myself.
I can tell the other students don't really take a liking of me being here. They throw me dirty looks, and whisper to each other about me. All because my father is a death eater locked up in Azkaban, and they think i'll be one too.
Well i already am one. So they're not wrong, to be fair.
Blaise always whispers reassuring words to me though, telling me to not pay any attention to them. But how could i not? They're literally saying horrible horrible things.
"Harry! Y/n! The couple of the bunch. Tell me, how long have you been a couple for?" Slughorn asks, smiling at me and Harry. Harry looks up at me, waiting for my response.
I throw on a big smile and shake my head before answering the professor's question, "He asked me to be his girlfriend back in fourth year at the top of the astronomy tower, sir."
"How romantic!" The professor laughs out. I politely smile, "But sadly, we're not together anymore."
"Oh.." Slughorn frowns, "I'm so sorry." I nod, as Harry looks up at me with gloomy eyes.
I can't let everyone know that me and Harry are still talking. Because Voldemort will know. And by the time he comes back, he'll fucking end me.
"So tell me, Cormac," Professor Slughorn turns to Cormac Mclaggem, "Do you see anything of your uncle Tiberius these days?"
"Yes, sir, in fact I'm meant to get hunting with him and the Minister of Magic over the holidays."
"Oh, well, be sure to give them both my best. And what about your uncle, Belby? For those of you who don't know well, Marcus' uncle invented the Wolfsbane Potion. Is he working on anything new?
"I don't know. He and my dad don't get along. 'Prolly cause my dad says potions are rubbish. His only potion worth having is a stiff one at the end of the day."
"And what about you, Ms. Granger," Slughorn turns to ask my best friend, "What exactly does your family do in the Muggle world?"
"My parents are dentists, sir. They tend to people's teeth," Hermione explains. I think i've heard of "Dentists" before. What a weird name, what a weird job.
"Fascinating," The professor smiles, "And is that considered a dangerous profession?"
"No. Although, one boy, Robbie Fenwich, did bite my father once. He needed ten stitches," Hermione chuckles, then the professor turns to me.
"Ah, Y/n! How about your-"
The professor stops himself.
"Glad you asked professor!" I snicker, "Father's a death eater, is locked up in Azkaban. Aunt's also a death eater, the dark lord's most loyal follower. Whole family are pure blood supremacists. Splendid, i know!" I grin wide, but the whole room freezes. Some looking at me with fear, and some with pity. Those with pity are Hermione, Harry, Blaise, Ginny, and Professor Slughorn.
"Y/n, i'm so sorry. Forgive me, i didn't mean to bring that up," The potions master apologises, and i only nod and smile politely at him.
We continue eating dessert peacefully. Until Cormac opens his mouth,
"Why is she here, Professor? I can't help but wondering. Why would we want a death eater's daughter to be near us. For all we know, she could be one herself."
"Shut your mouth, Mclaggen," I speak up, "I'm still richer than you."
I'm tired of people stepping on me. Might as well own up to my rich pure blood status. Draco does that all the time. Why can't i?
"Please, excuse me, Professor," I stand up, stomping out of the room.
I sit down on the cold hard floor at an empty corridor. I don't cry anymore, i guess the tears just ran out. But still, the stress is never ending.
Then Blaise comes up to me, sitting beside me. He pulls me in for a hug, "I'm here for you. I always am."
"Thank you, Blaise. I really appreciate it. I really appreciate you."
Blaise smiles as we break the hug, "Things will get better. A miracle will happen, and you'll be with Harry again. The boy you love."
I nod, "Hopefully."

Y/n exits the room after her little argument with Cormac. I know that she's been sensing that almost everyone didn't like her being here since she first arrived.
While Blaise runs after her, i feel the need to stay for a while and put Cormac in his place, "Why would you say that to her?"
"What?" He shrugs, "Was i wrong? Lucius Malfoy is a death eater. Tried to kill you as well, didn't he? You wouldn't want to be married into that family, lad. I'm telling you, you dodged a bullet."
I clench my fist, getting ready to punch him. But the professor stops me, "Ah, ah! That's enough, Harry."
"Y/n is a great girl!" I exclaim, "She's kind, she's funny, and loving. Not to mention extremely beautiful. Watch your mouth, Cormac."
I exit the room, looking for Y/n. Eventually, i found her sitting on the floor with Blaise. I clear my throat, making the two turn back to me.
"Can we just have a little chat, please? I beg you, Y/n."
"Alright.." She nods, and Blaise stands up, walking away from Y/n. As he passes me, he puts his hand on my shoulder and says, "To be honest, you're the one for her, mate."
I nod and smile at the Slytherin as he walks away. I sit down beside Y/n and smile at her, "I miss us."
She nods, hesitantly resting her head on my shoulder, "Me too."
"I wish things could be like how it used to," I chuckle, "Like in third year.. Fourth year.." "Those were fun times," Y/n giggles, and i do too
"But they never will," Y/n says, as our faces turn to frowns.
"I know.." I huff, "So right now, i just want to hold you in my arms like everything's okay. Just for a little while," I softly say to Y/n, wrapping my arms around her.
Y/n doesn't avoid, but hugs me back.
"I really wish you could stay. We could stay like this forever," I mutter, still keeping her close to me.
"Let's just pretend, Harry," Y/n muffles against my chest, "For tonight. Pretend everything is perfectly fine. Because tomorrow, we have to go back to the sad reality that you and i will never be together."
Then i break the hug, looking down at her. I lift her chin, before leaning in and kissing her softly.
"I'll love you forever, Y/n Malfoy," I mutter in between the kiss.
"I'll love you for fucking ever, Harry Potter."
Suddenly, Y/n pulls away, "Wait, nobody's here, right?"
"No, why?" I ask her, furrowing my eyebrows.
"Well, if you haven't caught on, if people knew we were doing this, Voldemort would know as well. And he'd kill me."
"Kill you?"
"Mhm," She hums as she pulls me in again, our foreheads touching, "But let's not care about for right now."
