Midnight Memories
Chapter One: Black Eyes
"It's Beautiful," Desiree voiced out as the night air sways around her.
"You're beautiful," Alex replied starring at her, she shrugged off his comment as she stares up at the bright-lit moonlight.
"Look at the way the hue of moonlight bathes upon the leaves, giving it this magical enchanting beauty.” Desiree blurts out as she took his hand and stood up so that she wouldn't fall to her demise.
" it's beautiful alright," he held onto her hand, grasping it tightly. "If only Dad would allow me-" she sat back down folding her hands across her chest.
"I'm sure he has his reasons," Alex responded as he hugs his legs together resting his cheeks upon his Jeans covered knees.
"If he does I don't think he'll ever tell me." I retorted sadly. "He will," Alex answered.
"It's your birthday tomorrow, why don't you wish for it," he suggested.
"I think the moon Goddess is in aligned with my father, I'll never get that wish granted." She told him.
"We will see," he throws his arms around her shoulder as the sound of someone stepping on the roof caught their ears, we look around and I saw a dark figure standing in the dark, then it disappears and just before it disappears she swears she saw a pair of blue eyes.
"Who's there?" Alex shouts.
I got up and walks towards to the dark spot, Alex went towards the left side of the door just as the door to the roof was pushed open to see Charlie pop out into the clearing at the door.
"It's just Charlie," Alex told her in an irritated tone. "But I swear I saw-" she started as Charlie whines aloud.
"Can't your stupid dog give you privacy?" Alex question. Charlie looks up at him and she swears his jaw switch.
"Can you just be nice, he has ears you know." I step into the house, dropping to my knees to rub his midnight grey fur.
"He's just a dog Desiree, sometimes I swear you love that dog more than anything in this world. What happens when you find your mate?" Alex huffs stepping into the house as he closes the door.
"I'm sure he'll love him too, were a package deal." She smiled down at Charles as he climbs onto her legs and pushes his head into her flat stomach as she bends and cuddles him.
"More like a dynamite package." He muttered, staring at us both.
"You're just Jealous, he gets to kiss me and you don't," she chuckle as she left Charlie climbs of her legs.
"I -I'm not Jealous, I could you if I like," he stoop down to her level and without hesitation, Charlie let out a loud bark.
"In your dreams," she shoved him away.
"There you all are," Felisha appears at the bottom of the stair dress in her night robe and slippers with her huge baby bump.
"Your Dad is going crazy looking for you and Charlie, it's past your bedtime." She told them.
"I'm turning sixteen hereafter, I'm way past the age to be dealing with Daddy putting me to bed Lisa," she muttered as Alex help her up.
"You know your father, it calms his soul when he knows both his girls are in bed safe and sound." She told her as both descend the stairs.
"I pray and hope he loosens his grip when I start having boys over," Desiree chuckled as a tingling sting erupted behind her ears causing her to stop abruptly and touch behind her ears.
"Dee, you ok?" Alex asked she look up to see Felisha with a blank expression as she too holds her ears, Charlie wobbles a bit as the sound of the windows and doors shake vigorously and then it stops.
"Yeah I am fine, did you feel that?” she asked.
" Feel what?" He inquired, starring at her question as Charlie walks towards the window and gaze out the window.
"It felt like an earthquake," she joins Charlie at the window. She looks out straight towards the forest when the eyes of a dozen wolves became visible, she staggered back as she pointed out.
"Mom they are wolves outside," she sputtered out nervously, stepping backwards as the eyes seem to come towards her rapidly. Frighten she staggered back as the sound of someone ascending towards them, within a swift moment Felisha was holding a dagger.
"Desiree!" The sound of her father voice blasted as he stumbled down the stairs.
“Dad!" She screamed back has a huge black wolf with black and red lounge over her father
"Charlie! Get her out!" Her father Alpha voice growled, within second her dog body started to shift and morphs into a man with shocking blues eyes, he picked her up, sparks electrifying her entire being.
"Hold on," his rough raspy voice commands as he used a dagger to smash the glass and he jumps out with her.
"Desiree!" Alex shouted as Felisha grabs onto him as the man holding her sprint towards the forest, but he stops abruptly as they were surrounded.
"Charlie?" Desiree calls his name, as her gaze fell upon the moon-shaped scar on his left breast.
Where had she seen that before?
"Whatever happens, Don't shift till you reach the forest. Run!" He growls as three wolves lounge at them and he shoved her to the ground as she grovels away. She lets out a piercing scream as the wolves attack him but he manoeuvres them at ease.
"Run Desiree!" He growls as she glances back, to see him holding a bloody dagger that sparkle within his grip. She turns to see that three wolves barricading her path.
"Desiree!" Alex grasps out.
"Alex," she sputtered out as she watches one of wolf holding Alex morphs into its human being. He looks familiar, she thought, as she growls nervously at them.
"What do you want?" She snapped and within a blink of an eye, Charlie was beside her.
"Isn't it the Demon Queen and her Curse Puppy," the familiar-looking man sneered at her? Desiree glance at Charlie whose gaze was fixed upon the man.
"Stay behind me," Charlie told her but she grasps onto his arm, He looks down at her, his blue eyes sparkling as he stares at her, the night air surrounding them both shifts as the ground beneath their feets starts to tremble.
He glances down to see that the dagger as prick her arm, her blood spurt out. Charlie steps back as she stares at him.
The same stingy tingling feeling erupt behind her ears again this time much more dominant, she felt her wolf twitching against her skin as she stares up at charlie blue eyes.
Charlie glances up at the atmosphere and within seconds Desiree fell to her knees, she looks up, her eyes black as Midnight, her nails lengthened as her hair lifted in the air, sparkling with grey.
"What happening?" Alex asked as the man holding him releases him and took off into the forest. "Run!" Charlie growled at him.
"No!" He growled back at Charlie, Within a swift moment Felisha was beside him and Alpha Xavier was standing before his daughter holding a black dagger.
"Get him out of here!" Alpha Xavier growls as they were still surrounded by wolves.
"Desiree!" Alex screamed as he struggled to get away from the men holding him.
"How long till she emerged?" Felisha asked stepping instance with Xavier and Charlie.
"It normally takes a few seconds," he answered just as she looks up with her eyes black as midnight, her iris sparking violet with a blob of blackness like a polka dot.
Before anyone could utter a word, Desiree lounge after the Alpha who caught her in ease as he stabbed her in the chest a gush of aura rush off their colliding bodies and within seconds she stood up stepping on her father stomach, pressing deeper into his chest cracking his rib. Xavier growls out in pain as pushes his daughter off his chest.
Felisha cries out as she drops to the ground, she grabs onto the soil and within second green vines wraps itself around her wrist as she sends a gush of the night wind towards Xavier as she covers him.
Charlie lounge after Desiree and they both collided to the ground, she shoved him off her and he grabs after her catching her by the ankle pulling her towards him. They both started to wrestle on the ground, fighting.
"Desiree stop!" Alex wailed, within a second he was of him and grabbed Alex by the throat, her eyes midnight black a violet aura surrounding her body, she lounges him into the earth, Alex gripping at her hand which just grip his throat tighter, making it difficult to breathe. black liquid dripping from her eyes straight into his eyes.
"No!" Xavier growled into night shaking the ground, Desiree turns and looked at her father held to the ground with vines, she smirked at him as Alex hollered in pain a burning heat radiating from eyes.
"My eyes!" He screamed out in pain.
Charlie reaches for Alex but he was being pulled from Desiree grasp causing her to jumps off his body mid-air and landed in her wolf form her eyes simmer in violet liquid as she transforms into the back the girl with black eyes.
"You don't want to hurt them Ariska!” Charlie's voice blasted into the night air as he reaches behind his back for a long dagger. Desiree looks up at him as she circles him, Charlie did the same.
" My name is Desiree," She growls at him.
"I'm not talking to Desiree am I?" He leans his head to the side to look her straight in the eye. She strolls around him amused.
"What does it matter?" She chuckled.
"Desiree wouldn't disobey her father declarations of cursing wolves, you just hurt someone she cares about." Charlie steps towards her.
"He was just flesh and bones to nip," she states amused, licking her dried lips.
"She'll learn I did it to somewhat protect her," she states.
"You just ruin a wolf," Charles grabs onto her. "I just saved his life!" She growls at him as she stares at him.
"Your eyes, so beautiful-" he sink the dagger into her stomach. "Now that's Desiree!, You don't like my eyes." Charlie switches the sword deep inside her body and they both collided to the ground. A shrieking of Desiree hollering in pain echoes into the night air, causing her to grasp awake to find a naked body upon hers.
With blood coating her entire body.
She watches as the male body shift from animal furs and human and then settles to human skin. She shoves him off to see the moon-shaped scar on his left breast. The sound of his breathing caused her to stare up at him, his eyes shocking blue and he grasps out holding onto the dagger in her hand.
"Happy Birthday," she heard him gasp out as his eyes flutter shut as she stares at the bloodshed surrounding her.
