Ch42- This is war

My stomach grumbled loudly ad I slapped a hand over it.
“Dude, when lat have we eaten? How long was I out for?” I asked Hayden, who now going through my wardrobe, he was looking for clothes to wear.
“We probably ate around two days ago,” he mused, also now patting his stomach. “Oh and you were out for around five hours max,” he said and pulled out a black shirt, fling his old bloodied one of him and pulling mine over his. I touched my now bandaged shoulder and winced slightly. The pain was there, but it was more like a dull throb than a stabbing pain. I didn’t have a shirt on and I gestured for Hayden to toss me one. Gingerly I pulled the white shirt over my body and I rolled my sore shoulder.
“We need food,” I said simply. He nodded and we both left my room, from what Hayden had told me, half of the castle had been destroyed where half the rooms had been ruined; including his room, Ayden’s and Caden’s. I sighed audibly as we made our way towards where the noise was coming from. Loud cheering and shouting could be heard, I faintly heard Sky’s voice over the ruckus and I followed it. Hayden was now chatting up Lissa and various other girls in the kitchen; I didn’t know where the rest of my brothers were on where my father was.
He looked up at me from his seated position next to Astrid, I smiled at her slightly and I turned my head to Sky and noticed his food. I grabbed a piece of bread from his plate and started munching; he got up and smacked me over the head.
“I see you’re back to your usual self,” he joked, handing me his now I empty plate. I scowled at him.
“Seriously an empty plate? Bastard,” I mumbled and walked passed him, grabbing a new plate and some food.
“No, really, how’s your shoulder? You took a pretty nasty hit,” I rolled my shoulder slightly.
“Eh, it’s seen better days, you know? How’s everyone holding up Captain,” I joked, punching his shoulder playfully while we sat down in a corner.
He rubbed a hand over his face, shrugging his shoulders, “They’re ok, like the kids,” he gestured to where Astrid, Jake, Elena and the rest sat huddled in a corner. “They’re kind of shaken, luckily none of them got hurt.” I nodded my head. I turned my head as I heard someone calling my name, Caden.
I smiled brightly at my brother, his wings were looking so much better.
“How’s the wings?” I asked him, slowly munching on a piece of dried bread.
He shrugged, “Well, sooner or later I’ll be able to join you guys.” I nodded thoughtfully and then out of nowhere popped up Arianna, snuggling herself under Caden’s arms. I raised my eyebrows at that, smiling coyly.
“And that?” I laughed at how Arianna’s cheeks were going red as Caden kissed her.
“Oi, you two, get a room,” laughed Sky, I soon joined. They smiled at us and waved us off as they sauntered off somewhere. I looked at Sky and noticed the turmoil within his eyes, he looked depressed.
I patted him on the shoulder and whispered quietly, “We’ll get her back; you’re not the only one who’s missing her.”
He nodded stiffly and got up and walked away from me.

'Luna
“You’re such an idiot Zack, they beat you, they beat your little pestilence,” I laughed loudly in his face, smirking slightly. He ground his teeth at me and flipped me his middle finger before walking away.
“Aren’t you just a little bitch,” murmured Amorfia, I snapped my head towards her and zoned my eyes on her deep purple ones. She started screaming in pain as my mind evaded her causing her immense pain. I laughed at her scrunched up face.
“Luna, stop it,” muttered Drake lazily as he strode into the room, black mist oozing out around him. I looked at Drake, my eyes blazing.
“But I’m having fun!” I whined at him as I released Amorfia from her torment. She gasped and fell to the ground.
“Wuss,” I muttered at her. She couldn’t even take that little pain and I wasn’t even doing it full force. She flapped her wings angrily at me before stalking off, bumping hard into Slade.
He held up his hands in mock surrender, “What’s up her butt?” he asked.
I laughed at his joke as I propped my feet up onto the stone counter. Since our old hideout place had been pretty much destroyed we had to find a new one, which was this abandoned house. We were currently in the kitchen, our horses were out somewhere and Cole was busy outside probably munching on some terrified human, I couldn’t really care less.
“Looks like your father and his lackey’s defeated pestilence, they’re not going to win so easily. I hope they know that,” he said to me, his red eyes staring me down, I shifted uncomfortably in my seat. I didn’t like the way he looked at me, it gave me shivers.
I shrugged my shoulders, I didn’t know what went on with them and I didn’t want to know, I was powerful now I controlled the very thing people were scared of. I didn’t need to delve back into my past, so I kept away, ignoring those painful memories.
“Amorfia will be going in next, her powers are already starting to work. It’s quite entertaining watching the angels argue, especially my dear brother. This whole war thing of hers is quite good,” mused Drake as he got up from his seat and walked towards me, caressing my pale face. I shuddered slightly as his nail scraped across my lip. He pulled me up and pushed me against the wall, his lips crashing down upon mine. He wasn’t gentle, he was rough and he forced me to respond back by pinching my arm. I groaned in pain and kissed back, his lips were chaffed and weren’t that pleasing. He moved his lips with mine, gripping my hair and pulling me further towards him; he bit me hard on my bottom lip causing me to open it wide, screeching in surprise, he delved into my mouth. I almost gagged at his intruding tongue. Trying to push him away, I almost succeeded but he carried on. I needed air; this bastard was cutting my air suplly off.
Eventually he let me go and I collapsed to the floor breathing heavily, memories of my slave days appearing in my head. He wiped his hand over his lips, winking at me before walking off.
“Well, that was entertaining,” smirked Slade, I simply growled at him and allowed a dead bony hand to push through the ground to grab his ankle. He shrieked in surprise before scurrying off muttering about ‘demonic girl’ and ‘stupid dead things.’
These rides really did annoy me.

“Hayden, just shut the fuck up before I fucking kill you,” I growled at him. He looked at me threateningly before pushing me roughly by the shoulder. I fell back onto the couch. We were seated in the entertainment area now, the cream walls doing nothing but reflect the sun’s rays as day slowly began its ascent. I groaned in pain as my shoulder screamed out in agony, across me on the other couches, Sky was arguing with Ayden and Lissa with Arianna. Caden and Dandre were having a full blown yelling match and Hayden and I were starting to get violent, we always were the more violent of our brothers.
“Is little lukey boy hurt huh? Stop whining like a bitch and take it like a man,” he hissed and pushed me again, his wings flapping crazily in this overcrowded room. I got up from my seat and lunged at him effectively knocking him the ground, the arguments rang above me, each voice muddling into another.
“Stop being a bitch, at least try and do something you stupid maid!” yelled Arianna at Lissa.
“How the fuck am I supposed to know what happened to Luna, I may be a damn genius but I don’t fucking know everything!” Ayden screamed at Sky, profanities leaving his mouth. I dodged the skilful punch Hayden threw at my head as we both tumbled onto the table tennis table, cracking it down the middle. The loud scream of wood didn’t faze anybody as they continued arguing, Hayden started punching me in the stomach and I doubled over in pain, clutching it.
“When are you going to fight huh? Just because your wings are sore doesn’t mean you hold just sit back!” Dandre was pissed off and kept on yelling at Caden, who looked ready to rip his head off.
Something was off here, why were we being so mean to each other, why were we arguing. I pushed Hayden off me roughly and I hastily stood up. My mind spun for a few seconds but quickly stopped.
“What the hell are we doing guys? Why the hell are we arguing with each other! We shouldn’t be doing this! Not when our kingdom is basically under siege!” I yelled at them, they turned to look at me anger rising within their eyes.
Why, why were we so angry with each other. It didn’t make sense.
“We are supposed to stick together yet we are arguing like five year olds!” Ayden regarded me with a crazed look before his eyes widened in surprise.
“What is the next stage in the apocalypse, the next horse?” I shrugged, confused.
“War,” whispered Dandre, I stared at him, war? I thought this was over, why can’t we get a break, this isn’t right!
“War and whoever is controlling it is making us angry with each other, it’s like we are slowly pushing ourselves over the edge,” he muttered looking around us disdainfully, I crossed my arms over my chest slightly angry again.
“Why don’t you just take your theories and shove them up your damn a-“ I was cut off mid sentence by a very angelic voice. I knew that voice anywhere, my blood ran cold and my head went blank. I stared at the intruder, my fists balling at my sides my eyes portraying pure anger.
“Lukey, Lukey, Lukey, let Aydey boy finish he is after all the smartest is he not and you the dumbest and most gullible, yeah?” she laughed turning to meet us, her purple eyes boring into ours.
The bitch Amorfia.
