Author's note:
Hey guys hope you're lovin' the story so far, tell me what you think I don't care what your opinion is as long as it doesn't hurt my little feelings, but yeah let the shots be fired.
Either way this chapter is going to be a bit off course and this will happen rarely. We'll get to see a bit of a different POV here but like I said that'll happen rarely. So enjoy!
~~~~~~~~~~~
It's so cold and dark, ugh I feel like trash... Oh wait I am trash. All those taunts and insults they told were true, this flesh is pure garbage, and it hurts so much. Tears prickled my eyes, I can't even open them, it feels like I'm crying acid. What did I do to deserve this abuse?
Is it because I was born weak? It's not my fault I was the malnourished twin in my mother's womb, my brother was always stronger! It's not my fault he died protecting me! He wasn't even supposed to...it should've been me.
The numbness is irritating, the shivers that passed in my body aren't helping. The acidic tears kept streaming down my face, it's probably not a face anymore, they beat me so badly it must of contorted my look.
Riley! Riley! Take me with you now!
The pain of their super-human kicks still sting in my boney ribs, the smug faces sneering down at me burned in my memory. The transformed claws marking me as 'trash' 'useless' and 'waste of space'.
That's not even true! There is no such thing as waste of space, we are born for a reason.
My purpose must be to suffer then...
Oh Moon Goddess please end this punishment and lead me to the warm light that is you. Please end my cold misery!
For a second -split second I was sure I saw death, Death in the form of a small white-haired girl with a black robe.
She smiled at me, it made my stomach flutter, it was compelling in a weirdly hypnotic, evil way.
She began to sing a song, it was sadly beautiful, but I couldn't hear the words. The melody compelled me to come closer into her arms, her smile grew bigger, her head began to rise the closer I got.
She welcomed me into her arms, I too motioned to accept it.
"Caelum enim non est a canines...nunc...putrescet" her words horrified me, even if I couldn't understand the meaning, they were frightening, it had struck horror in my very being. Was I really ready to die?
It was her turn to move now, she stepped forward to close the gap, but I wavered and stepped back.
Please someone save me!
In this cold darkness I cowered in fear: she hovered over me, my tears still burned.
This wasn't fair, why am I the one here, suffering even in death, why am I being punished? I had done nothing wrong! I tried to live righteously like my brother but where had that gotten me? Nowhere but in the cauldron of misery! "Ah!" I cried out, I shouldn't be here! Wait...that' right I shouldn't be the one here -no it should be them. They are the evil ones who should be facing her, not me! I will not fall here in the land of death.
Raising myself I faced her, my eyes stilled burned with the tears, but the intensity of my resolve burned out of my body.
"I will not go with you, it is not me that should be here! But them who tried to condemn me to your arms! So I make this solemn vow that my vengeance against them will be done without my soul wavering. They will be given to your dark presence as payment if you let me leave and set me on my righteous quest. If not I will still find my way to crawl out of your pits of hell and release whatever malice on that pack. That is my vow."
Death -her laughter had shook my core, the hood revealed a beautiful girl with the most evil eyes I have ever seen.
She grabbed something within her sleeve: a feather? She waved it around enchantingly, "Retribution, maggots shall die on the day the war destroys...the Light will illuminate your path of righteousness. Good luck, dog."
She giggled, then a stabbing pain throbbed at my heart. Death waved the Feather in my face, "The deal has been sealed! See you on the other side, do not forget this debt and feel grateful for you second chance!" She floated away into the darkness, leaving me all alone, wait! Where do I go from here?
And that thing she said..."the light will illuminate your path of righteousness? What a load of bs!" I growled in frustration, "still it's so cold in here" the negative emotions finally cleared from my system. "Here's the second vow...even though I'm weak since birth even before that; I will get strong no matter what. Whatever power I achieve will be used to bring justice to those evil beings living on my home. There's no turning back now."
My heart throbbed a bit, quickly I clutched it: then this spreading warmth over came me.
"Rina"
Who is that?
"Rina, hear my voice"
Wow, what a warm and strong voice..."Rina follow the light"
My body tingled as though the sun was here to shine on me; my eyes no longer hurt with tears!
Looking ahead, my heart leaped in joy, a glimmer! Small but enough to have me burst with excitement, my wolf had stirred. Woah! This is -it's the first I've felt my wolf in a long time...
The light grew stronger, like a sun ray, soft like feathers, my hand automatically reaches to it. The wolf inside me howls as though in some strange longing of sorts.
"Rina!"
The lovely voice commanded, someone cares, my life is not void or trash or waste, I have a purpose.
Once again my wolf howls, a secret message relayed to me.
My purpose is to be by this person's side! Laughter erupted from my belly: booming in the rays I was happy to reach that other side.
My body lifted as I gasped, eyes widen, mouth open to breathe in oxygen.
"She's awake! Look Sonny, Gwen! She's awake hooray!" A strangely energetic boy came towards me, "Hey miss are you ok, we almost thought you were a goner. You're were like awake for two minutes then bam! Asleep!" It was difficult to register what was happening, my mind racing.
"Terry, please give Rina room, she needs a calm environment" the girl in the far back said gently but a hidden power was behind them.
Dizziness flushed to my head, "Uh.." losing control, my body felt heavy as I leaned back. A strong arm stopped me from an abrupt movement, it was small but strong and -and warm.
"Rina calm down, you've had a stressful experience please relax. Terry, Gwen please give me a moment to speak with Rina; three's a crowd haha." I could tell her smile was like a dazzlingly sun; this is the voice I heard.
"Rina everything's alright now you are not alone, Rina -Rina!" For some reason I didn't want to worry her, my wolf howled once again, but I couldn't distinguish the sentiment.
Before returning to slumber, "Do not worry I -I just need a bit more rest. I'll wake again. I have to" reaching out I held her hand, soft and the gold hue from it was mystical. "Thank you" it was barely above a whisper.
-We will always be by her side
My wolf's words were the last thing I heard before slipping into a comforting sleep.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Normal Pov
"Rina" my skin glistened in its golden hue, her wolf called out to me. It was a nice sentiment, but I will not be swayed. Also like Terry -Rina will be loyal and she has her own agenda to accomplish; that will bring me more of the benefit.
"Now...what is is that you want, Lady Death?" my eyes shone to the dangerous being standing behind me. She giggled, gently revealing her hood.
"Oh dear~ aren't you a feisty one. Hehe" I suppressed the growl in my throat, "Do not play games with me, what is your purpose here?" Automatically I took stance to protect Rina.
"Oh how sweet of you to protect your kind, even though you used to despise them." Hmph, a chuckle escaped my lips, "Do not misunderstand Lady Death, I need allies to achieve my goals. Now stop evading the subject and tell me your purpose!" My canines grew in and my eyes had been flaring their radiant gold.
"Yes beautiful, I'm grateful to see your awakened form dog. Hehe, but I'm not here to cause conflict: I'll enlighten you. This girl made a contract with me, I'm her Contractor."
I had calmed but my golden hue stayed vibrant.
"How long does she have?" Details did not matter but I needed her to be of use for my cause.
Lady Death grabbed something from her sleeve: a feather?
"Reunion: the war will be bled, 7 pups will be tormented by past suffering, but no longer blinded by the darkness. Lead to the stairway of eminence. The Light will shine on the Family and the boy will cry Wolf -Golden Wolf. Hehe! Love will not be your ally though. Your light will diminish in the final battle. Good luck Golden Wolf may your battle be fierce."
With the last wave of the feather the room became heavy. Quickly without hesitation I transformed my armed and violently swiped at her. A mirage! The room echoed with her evil laughter, though I was impressed.
Evil is the charming type.
Though, I am grateful for the prophecy; Lady Death has her generous moments, but her appearance in this world is unsettling.
Sigh, my gaze fell upon Rina, "You've caused me more trouble than I bargained for, I hope you can repay the debt."
