Skylar Roy was in the uncomfortable chair with restraints on her hands and legs in the cell that they kept her in. She had her jaw clenched. She couldn't show mercy, she couldn't let them know that they were hurting her. As the liquid weaved throw her insides, burning enough to make her scream at the top of her lungs. That would show them the satisfaction. And for some reason that would make them angrier.
Skylar was born with one power, the ability to copy other people's voices which is also called vocal manipulation. There was two powers that the serum gave her. Energy and shadow manipulation. Yes, she create shadow and energy attacks.
Skylar was smart, she kept the two powers a secret because she knew that if she revealed them that would mean experimenting on her more than they already do. She's been here since she was 7 years old she knew every trick they did and not magic tricks.
Skylar was so into her thoughts that the door was kicked open, soon after a bright red headed woman entered and an archer with a bow in his hand. She jolted her head in alarm, then stumbled back until her back was hitting the wall. She knew it, this was day she was going to die. The archer behind her was gonna pierce her heart with one of the arrows on his back.
"We're not going to hurt you." The red headed woman said. Skylar was petrified with fear. "That's what they all say." Skylar stuttered out. Natasha noticed her fear and put on a gentle smile. "My name's Natasha, what's yours?" She asked. "Skylar." She said. Natasha nodded. "This is my partner Clint, we're here to get you out of here now will you come with us?" Skylar glanced up at Clint before going back to Natasha, then she finally took her hand.
And with that, the three left the facility. Clint and Natasha felt like Skylar was their responsibility, they felt like they had to keep her safe. They could have brought her to an adoption center but Natasha saw the fear in her eyes.
It wasn't regular fear, it was like they had done something to her. And they had.

When Skylar, Natasha, and Clint got off the quinjet there was a girl with a folder and in heels and a pencil skirt. "Skylar, this is Maria Hill," Natasha said Skylar waved awkwardly and Maria just smiled. "She'll be showing you your room." Natasha said. "Follow me." Maria said and Skylar did as said.
Once they went down a flight of stairs Maria lead Skylar to a bedroom. "This is your room, Natasha is right next to you if you need anything okay?" Maria said and Skylar nodded.
Maria left and Skylar looked out the window and saw all the cities and lights, she actually thought she had a place here where people wouldn't hurt her.
