Delilah's POV
Delilah awoke to the harsh sun on her face and the sound of New York bustling below her.
shit.
She'd managed to sleep in, and was supposed to start her stream fifteen minutes ago.
Leaping out of bed, she hurried to her bathroom to wash her face and change into fresh clothes.
The cold water on her face shocked her awake and after patting her skin dry with a face cloth, she caught a glimpse of herself in the mirror. She looked like shit. There were dark bags under her eyes, hinting at the lack of sufficient sleep she'd been getting. Her hair hung limply in a ponytail at the base of her neck and her skin was dry and had lost the glow it used to have.

"hey, guys! Sorry I'm a bit late, I may have overslept a tad... I'm here now though and ready for today's stream! I'll turn donos on in a sec, but what should we do today?"
A donation popped up on her monitor.
You should try speedrunning Minecraft! I'm sure you would be great at it :) her text to speech read aloud.
"Thank you-" She paused to read who had donated the suggestion.
"lucynotfound, for the $10. I appreciate it! Anyways, speedrunning? Like, what Dream does?" She asked.

Delilah glanced at who had given this dono and quickly put her hand to her mouth to muffle the gasp that escaped her lips.
"Uh, thank you... Dream for the... $100? You're insane I- are you sure? I can give that back to you uh- that's a lot of-"
don't worry about it :-) seriously though, you should try it!
"Okay okay just stop giving me money!!" Delilah let out a giggle.
She opened Minecraft and created a brand new world on a random seed.
"Slight problem," she began, "I have no idea what I'm doing."

Delilah caught Dream's message in the chat, which was moving at a rapid pace at Dream's appearance.
"Oh-okay," she stuttered. Dream wanted to talk to her? What was happening...
"Hi!"
"H-Hi," Delilah stuttered again.
"Are you okay?" Dream asked.
"Oh- yeah I'm great! Just wasn't expecting to be in a call with Dream when I woke up this morning is all,"
"Haha, well I sent you a dm on Twitter last night but I think you were asleep and didn't see it?"
"Y-You did? I'm so sorry I'll read it now-"
"Don't worry about it, I'm already here right now," Dream laughed.
"Right, right. Well okay Dream, how do I do this?"
For the next couple of hours, Dream guided Delilah through speedrunning, giving her tips and tricks and helping her to beat the game in just under 45 minutes. All the while, Delilah's chat was blowing up.

At the end of Delilah's stream, she thanked Dream for hopping on and teaching her "the ways of speedrunning". She'd had the most fun on stream she'd had in a while, all thanks to him...
After she ended the live, she sighed and sunk back in her chair.
"You alright?" Dream asked.
"Oh, yeah just- I had a lot of fun today," Delilah smiled.
"Truly, thank you for coming on and talking to me."
"Delilah,"
Her name coming from his voice sounded like bliss.
"I think you're really cool. I really like talking to you," Dream explained.
"I um- I'd like to get to know you better but I was just wondering if first, you would want to join my SMP? Loads of my friends are on and you could meet them all. I think it could be fun,"
"Oh, that sounds great! Let's do it,"
"Cool, I'll message you the server address," Dream said, smiling to himself.
He'd only met this girl yesterday but somehow, something felt different about her. Like he needed to get to know her. Needed to make her laugh, make her like him...
