Hi my name is kelcey. I'm 15 years old and I live in Cali. My parents got divorced a little after I turned 4. I live with my mom and step dad. My mom just called me and my brother down stairs to tell us some bad/good news.. should I be scared??
"kids"my mom called
"kelcey and Nate! come down here right now.. we need to talk to you." my mom yelled getting annoyed.
"coming" me and my brother yelled
we ran down stairs a little nervous about what we were gonna hear. Nate and I sat on the couch and looked at mom and josh ( step dad's name).
" guys me and josh have some news for you and I don't know how you two will take it." mom said putting her hand on Josh's knee.
" okay mom your scaring me. what's going on?" Nate said standing up
"okay so I got a new job offer that will pay 3 times what I get now" mom said looking down
"that's great mom! why would we take that in a bad way?" I said with a big smile
"well the new job is in Colorado and I just can't pass it up.. were moving next week.." mom said looking at josh
"what?! you can't make me leave I love my friends! mom please don't" I said getting upset
"we have to kelcey we have hardly enough money to put bread on the table this will help all of us.." josh said putting his hands on my shoulder.
"fine! but I'm not happy!" I said with tears in my eyes running to my room
"were moving? I'm so happy!" my brother shouted!
my brother had been bullied a lot so he was probably happy to have a new start.
I ran to my room and called my best friend haleigh.
"heller boo what's uppp?" haleigh yelled
"hi.." I said still crying, haleigh could tell something was up.
" alright tell me now! what's wrong?" she yelled but in a mean way
" alright.. um I'm moving next week.."
"WHAT?!! you can't move kelc i love you so much!!"
" I know Hals but I have no choice" I said with a lump in my throat my mom called me
"it will be okay I promise.." she said with sympathy
"hey my mom called me.. call you later bye love you."
"ok-" she got cut off with me hanging up
I ran down stairs and my mom was trying to make me feel better about the move..
