Epona's POV:
This summer is a lot different than my last. And by that I mean I totally get what Harry means by the Dursley's are complete assholes. Though I've mainly stuck to my room, talking with Ginny over text or face time.
We've actually gotten pretty close over the summer. And in the times I'm not talking to her, Harry is smuggling board games into our room to play. So besides the people I live with, it's been pretty great.
I've worked on sketches for more outfits, which the Dursley's say are 'less than decent' and I shouldn't show anyone.
But I'm the person who gave their son a style that fits him so they should really fuck off.
Right now I'm on the phone with Ginny, and I was wearing a Maroon tank top with blue jean shorts and my typical neon green converse. And yes of course I have socks on.
"It's so annoying though." Ginny complained, "Nobody tells me anything."
I snorted, "I know right? It's like when you try to talk to your brother about the existence of a murderous psychopath and he's just like. 'Whatever are you talking about?'" Ginny laughed as I tried to make my voice like Harry's.
Right as I opened my mouth to say something, there was a deafening cracking sound. I jolted up in my seat.
"What was that?" Ginny asked, and I got up.
"I don't know. I'll be right back." I said, walking out of my room, hanging up and putting my phone in my pocket.
When I made it downstairs, Venom had his hands around Harry's neck, and was choking him.
"Get your nasty hands off of him." I held out my wand directly at him.
Harry smiled for a moment through his strangulation, and then Venom staggered backwards as though he was jolted back by electricity. They started yelling at Harry and I again, and I stuffed my wand back into my pocket. I rolled my eyes and walked out of the house with Harry.
We stayed walking for a while. I think by now Harry was no longer thinking about the sound. But the letters and texts from his friends are rather disappointing. At least Draco sent me a card and a present for my birthday. Their card to him was see you soon.
We came to a park and sat down on the swing set. Dudley and his little gang of friends walked by, and Harry and I grinned at each other. If there's one thing we both enjoy, it's making our cousins life miserable. After his friends left him, Harry and I got up, following behind him.
"Hey, Big D!" Harry called out, and I sniggered.
Dudley turned.
"Oh. It's you two." He sighed.
"How long have you been 'Big D' then?" Harry asked.
"Shut up." Dudley growled.
"Cool name." Harry smirked, "But you'll always be Ickle Diddykins to me."
"I said SHUT UP!" He balled his fist.
"Don't the boys know that's what your mum calls you?" Harry taunted.
"Shut your face."
I pretend gasped, "You don't tell her to shut her face. What about 'Popkins' and 'Dinky Diddydums', can I use them then?" I winked at him.
We continued on for a bit, and then a chill went down my spine. I looked around, and I could tell Harry felt it too. Everything got dark, and even the stars started to disappear, and everything went deadly cold. I could barely see anything, and I was already shivering.
But still, Harry grabbed my hand, and tried to talk sense into Dudley, telling him to shut up.
"DUDLEY STOP! YOU'RE RUNNING RIGHT AT IT!" Harry yelled, and I got nervous.
Dudley yelled, and his footsteps disappeared. I felt myself fall to the floor, my body tensing and shivering all over. I can't see, and I'm freezing to death. How fun. Without even realizing it, I started summoning fire from my hands and I could see the tiniest bit. It started to heat me up, and I found Harry. He at the same time said the spell that made the tip of his wand light up.
"EXPECTO PATRONUM!" Harry yelled, and the sky lit up with a beam of light in the form of a stag.
I nodded towards him, and remembered what Harry had told me about the spell. Think of one of my happiest moments. Weirdly enough, a few things passed through my mind, and then it landed on the time I was with Draco laying under the stars, "Expecto Patronum!"
I yelled, pointing my wand out, and like Harry's there was a beam of light, but mine turned into a fox.
My little light fox buddy and I ran, following Harry to Dudley. We found Dudley, with the creature above Dudley as if to kiss him. Quickly, we both sent our Patronus's at it, and the Stags antlers got it, and the fox jumped on top of it. We both ran over to Dudley, worried out of our minds.
There were Dementors in Little Whinging. Dudley was shaking and whimpering on the ground, and I didn't know whether he was fit to stand or not. Then, we heard loud running footsteps, and Harry pointed his wand towards the entrance, while I just stuck out my hand. Then, realizing quickly it was our old lady neighbor Mrs. Figg, Harry hurriedly put away his wand.
"Don't put it away, idiot boy!" She yelled and my eyes widened with confusion, "What if there are more of them around! Oh I'm going to kill Mundungus Fletcher!"
"What?" Harry and I asked in unison.
She ranted on about wanting to kill the guy who Disapparated in front of Harry and I's house. Mrs. Figg tried to lift Dudley up, but he seemed incapable of moving.
"We'll do it." We both said at the same, picking Dudley up one arm each. I made sure to dig my elbow into his ribs as Harry and I carried him, but he really didn't seem to care.
Or notice. Frankly, I'm not even sure he's conscious.
"Don't put away your wand, boy! Don't I keep telling you I'm no use?" She scolded Harry, and he held his wand up still.
She went on to complain and that the rules don't matter anymore.
"Why didn't you tell me you're a Squib? After all the times I went to your house, why didn't you say anything?" Harry asked.
"Dumbledore's orders." She replied simply, "I was to keep an eye on you but not say anything, you were too young. I'm sorry I gave you such a miserable time, but the Dursley's would have never let you come if they'd thought you'd enjoy it. It wasn't easy, you know...but oh my word.." She rubbed her hands together again, "When Dumbledore hears about this...how could have Mundungus left? He was supposed to be on duty until midnight...How am I supposed to get this news to Dumbledore? I can't Apparate..."
"I have an owl you can use..." Harry started, but she turned around, her eyes wide.
"Harry! You don't understand! Dumbledore will need to act as quickly as possible. The Ministry has their own ways of detecting underage magic, they'll know already, mark my words..."
" We had to use magic, besides won't they be more worried about dementors floating around Wisteria Walk?" I asked, and she looked at me sadly.
"Oh my dears, I wish it were so but I'm afraid... MUNDUNGUS FLETCHER I AM GOING TO KILL YOU!" She yelled, causing me to jump.
There was another loud crack, and a foul smell filled the air, and a man appeared.
"S'up, Figgy?" He looked between Mrs. Figg, Harry, Dudley and I, "What 'appened to staying undercover?"
"I'll give you undercover!" She cried, "Dementors, you useless, skiving sneak thief!"
"Dementors?" His face turned pale, aghast, "Dementors, here?"
"Yes here, you worthless pile of bat droppings here!" She yelled, "Dementors attacking the twins on your watch!"
"Blimey..." He mumbled, looking between the three of us, "Blimey, I..."
Mrs. Figg continued to yell at him until he disapparated away and she told us she would walk Harry and home. You know, in case there were any more dementors. There was something strange about those dementors though. Harry says they like feed on your fear and insecurities or something like that. That they get into your head and tell you things that aren't true. But they didn't say anything to me. It was just my normal thought process.
Maybe theres something wrong with me. I mean, besides the fact that I'm an overall shitty person who deserves every bit of bad luck that happens to me. I mentally sighed. I need to stop thinking of myself.
I heaved Dudley up more and helped Harry carry him home with us, following Mrs. Figg.
What a fucked up summer.

Hello people, sorry for the late update! I've been working on school stuff recently, and I was really behind. Also, I might post another book where it's about none other than Tom Riddle before he became Voldemort, and a girl sent back to stop it. I'll only post it if you guys promise to still keep reading this one- I'm just kidding, but yeah.
But also, the blooper reels will end each episode from here on out, just because if the chapters get kinda serious and sad, I don't want to end it on a bad note.
Oh, and one last thing that relates to the story.
Karma is coming to get a bitch this school year.
Have a fantastic day/night, and...
Until Next Time, Byeee!
