"Yo! Yo! Yo!" Maxwell shouted while making his entrance into the class being hyped by his classmates.
Maxwell is the perfect nice guy that's everyone's friend. There's always one guy in a class that all girls get along with, that all boys chill with (if that's not the case in Ur class just PRETEND it happens in all classes).
Meanwhile....
"Let's get outta here" Betty the oversensitive one whines
"Why do you want to leave so bad?" Mary asks
"It's sticky , slimy and grosse" Betty whines pouting
"Your whining is getting on my nerves" Mary covers her ears with her palms "soon you'll be crying 'mummy' "
"I won't cry 'mummy' " Betty sits on a broken stool "I want my Joseph "
"Shut up or I'll gag you " Mary threatens
"Kinky, I like it " Betty gives a suggestive smile
"Were you just flirting with me? "
"She's getting crazy from the frustration " Amanda states approaching them with a bag of junk (broken instruments)
"That explains it" Mary rolls her eyes
"What is that" Betty points at the bag
"Just some random broken equipments "
"I waited here for some bag of nonsense?" Betty gets up
"Yeah if you put it that way. What were you thinking? This is the abandoned yard of the school duh"Amanda says and heads in the direction of the exit
"Wait up" Betty calls out
As they enter the class with their findings, Maxwell starts rapping while the class supports.
Amanda being the class president tries to instill order
"Hey! Class" she slams her palm on a desk "shut the hell up!"
The class quiets down except Maxwell "yo Mandie"
She gives him a bored look "and what do you have to say"
"Chill out Missy. Let loose for once"
"I'll let loose at the appropriate time. You guys are being a bother to the school and I won't be held accountable for this trash"
He tries to interrupt
"Shut the hell up, Maxwell and sit down now"

In the cafeteria at lunch, the girls are at their table eating the crappy meal served
"Well life sucks" Precious passively comments
"Well no shit, Sherlock" Success mumbles
"They should atleast put some effort into preparing these meals" Betty says frustrated
"This is over. I can't do this anymore." Mary gets up
"You can't dispose of it." Success informs her
"I know" Mary settles back in her seat
Maxwell makes his presence known from the chorus of laughs on his table
"He's so him, loud" Prosper says
"Seriously. I feel like choking him sometimes "Success says
"Calm down " Lili tells her
"Too violent?"
"Yeah"
"He is really nice too." Mary states
"Yep he can help out even in inconvenience." Amanda agrees
"That's why people like him so much"
"Comfort's out of town, I think" Prosper changes the topic
"What? Where'd you get that information from?" Success asks
"Places" Prosper mumbles
"She's just in the principal's office. She has some stuff to deal with" Success says
"Do you..." Lili begins
A hand slams on their table "hey ladies"
"We don't have time for you Maxwell." Betty says not bothering to look up
"Don't be a Debby downer or In this case, Betty downer " he chuckles
"Wow " Prosper applauds "your jokes are killer"
"I try" he flatters himself
They all groan
"Can we help you?" Amanda asks, fed up
"Yeah I wanna ask Success an important question"
"That is ?" Success asks
"Would you go out with me?"
"What?"Success is beyond shocked
"Yeah me, you , date"
"Uh ..."
"Give me a chance. It'll be fun" Maxwell urges
"I'll think about it." Success mumbles
"Ok when should I expect your reply"
"After school hours"
"Ok see ya" Maxwell takes his leave
The girls are dumbfounded.
"Wow he just did the most unpredictable" Precious, a sucker for drama sits straighter in her seat.
"I'm speechless" success says lifelessly
"What's your decision?" Lili asks
"Well I don't know, sister. If I knew I would have told him"
"You guys would really be good together. A loud boy and a loud girl" Amanda comments
"Im feeling nauseous. This food is making me feel funny. I gotta go " she runs to the bathroom.

(Time skip to after school hours)
Success is walking alone towards the soccer field to get some air
"I'm being paranoid. It's just a date. Why am I being so affected?" She kicks a soda cap around
"Hey" a voice calls out. She whips around to see Maxwell running towards her.
"Hi"he greets first
"Hey" she shyly responds
"So how was your day?" He asks
"I was distanced through out"
"Oh uhm mine was nice. I was so excited for your answer" he said smiling widely
"Oh that... " she faked surprise
"U forgot about it?"
"Yeah would you believe that? But I won't go back on my word. I'll give you my answer"
"So what is your answer?"
"I'll give you a chance"
"What? Really?"
"Yeah. I mean if it's ok"
"Fuck yeah it's okay." He lifts her by her waist "I'm so happy. Thank you, you just made my day, my week ,my whole fucking month , Success!"
Success giggles loudly (that was a huge change in mood)
"Put me down " she says between giggles
"Ok" he lets her down "so tonight I'll pick you up"
"Yeah. What time?"
"Seven"
"Do you know our apartment?"
"Yeah I'm Tyler's friend
"Oh I forgot" she shakes her head. Well That's ok or Amanda would start lecturing me "
"Why would she?" Maxwell gets inquisitive
"Something about her being leader or some shit." Success brushes it off I gotta start heading home. We ladies need time to get ready"
"Okay I'll have to let you go, bye" he waves
"Bye" she walks off

( Just wanna be clear that the girls and the guys share big dorm apartment. They go to a government boarding school with apartments of various sizes that students acquire. The boys live on one wing while the girls live on the other wing. The share a living room at the centre. There are three bedrooms for the girls and two for the boys. The occupants of the apartment are; Success, Amanda, Comfort, Prosper, Aliyah, Mary , Precious, Betty, TG, Tyler, James and Victor )
When Success walks into the apartment, the girls are doing assignments and the guys are on the DS.
"Hey everyone" she waves timidly
They all turn to face her
"Yeah. So... What was Ur reply?" Prosper asks
"Well....... I said yes"
The room erupts in cheers.
"Yay I'm so excited. I can't wait to pick out your dress and shoes. Precious would do your makeup and......" Aliyah rants
"That's enough" Success interrupts "I'm not wearing a dress or skirt"
They give her disbelieving looks
"Then what do u intend on wearing?" Amanda asks
"Some nice hoodie and jeans with converse" Success shrugs
"What?!" Betty screams "for your first date?"
"Who said there would be another date?" Success asks suddenly feeling attacked "it's my date, my rules"
"That's where you get it all wrong" Precious shakes her head and holds Success's shoulders. "You need our help"
"I didn't ask for your help" Success gestures to the group
"Yeah we know but trust me you need our help" Precious walks away to attend to her boiling water.
"The thing is we won't force you to ever wear a skirt but please wear something more appropriate than a hoodie" Amanda pleads
"Like?"
"A nice shirt and jeans with some ankle boots" Aliyah suggests.
"Yes pair that with a chain under the collar and pretty ear rings and wala!" Betty pauses "we won't recognise you"
"I don't know .." Success begins
"Shut up and hop in the shower" Amanda instructs

"Well what do you think?" Prosper asks as the girls finish glamming Success
"I'm kinda uncomfortable with it" Success mumbles
The girls groan
"Even though I'm a guy and
I just came in here, I know you are making it hard to help you. From my view you look nice enough " James says while looking at his phone
"See?" Amanda agrees "You look good"

The doorbell goes off
"Maxie's here" Prosper chirps
"Rule no.1 of going on a date. Don't you ever give him a pet name" James states while giving Prosper a look "good luck"
"Hi Maxwell, why are you here?" They hear Mary at the door
"Uh to pick up my date"
"Your date? Who?" She gives a pretty believable confused face "I haven't heard or seen anyone ready for a date"
Maxwell gets worried
"She should try acting" Lili says "she's really good at it"
"So she's not ready?" Maxwell asks "I mean Success"
"Oh her! she's here" Mary smiles
Success comes out with her coat and purse
"Hi" she timidly greets
"Hey Success you look beautiful" he says handing out a hand for her to hold
"Thanks, you look really..... cool" she gives an awkward compliment
"Yeah thanks" he smiles at the full room "so we gotta go. Bye!" They leave to get into his car.
Mary slams the door shut "we hope for the best"

Days pass by and Success and Maxwell get closer. She considers maybe dating him.
She chats with Maxwell's best friend Joe. They discuss random stuff then she asks Joe about how Maxwell started developing feelings for her .
"Well he saw you in the biology lab the other day and took interest in you because you got the highest grade in the presentation. Plus he thought you looked hella hot in a lab coat"
"So he likes me because of science?"
"Not really he saw you were hot and wanted to try you out and the persuasion of the guys made him consider it"
"Try me out as how?"
"To See what you guys dating would lead to"
"So he never had genuine feelings or a crush on me" Success concludes
"I don't think he ever did. He just came one evening and said 'I think Success and I can work out'. I was lost. But I think he's getting to like you now"
Success didn't reply to that. She just went offline and stared blankly at the wall for about 3 minutes then screamed in rage.
' he never liked me. I was a trial ' she gets up and paces ' we're done. No more dates, nothing '

The girls are in the classroom but Success has not gotten to school yet.
"Did Success inform anyone she is sick?" Lili asks the group
"No we chatted last night and she said she'll be in school today" Amanda says
"Maybe she's just late to school today " Prosper suggests
Just then Success walks in looking a mess. She stumbles to her seat and slumps on it.
"Hey" she waves at them
"You look like death itself" Mary states
"Like you got run over by a truck" Amanda checks her out for any wounds
"Oh please it's nothing" Success waves them off
"It doesn't look so" Betty says "tell us what happened"
"I slept late last night" Success yawns
"And why is that?" Lili asks
"I was lost in thought" Success rests her head on her desk
"Thinking 'bout what?" Precious asks
"Life"
"Wow deep" Betty comments sarcastically " now tell us what the problem is" Betty sits on her desk
"Get off the desk. I slept late and woke up very late so I got to school disorientated and I look a mess because I'm a little dizzy" Success closes her eyes and turns the other way, silently ending the conversation.
"Okay rest now. Miss Josephine is not in school today" Mary sighs and picks her textbook.

It's lunch and Success hasn't gotten better. The girls are getting more worried.
"I'm getting worried, Success what happened?" Lili interrupts a conversation.
"I am a trial" Success simply says
"What? Your existence is not a trial" Mary tries to reassure her.
"It is. I am a trial to Maxwell"
"What? Please explain this to us" Betty urges
"I was having a conversation with Joe and he told me Maxwell just wanted to try me out. He never had feelings. He just saw me and said she is attractive, I'll like to date her. No feelings or actual care for me. NOTHING"
"I'll get my axe" Prosper yells running out
"I'll get my bat"
"Precious you will please lend me your dagger"
They all run out except Amanda
"We will deal with him, not kill him cause I'm too pretty for juvy. but I feel your pain. Now that's harsh"
"I was thoughtless when I heard it at first. It feels like a dream. You know what? Pinch me"
"What? Why?"
" I wanna determine whether this is a dream"
Amanda sighs "you need to see someone. It's getting out of hand. I'll go tell the girls to simmer down their rage a little" Amanda leaves.

"MAXWELL!" Mary shouts in the busy hallway.
"Yeah?" Maxwell is sharing popsicles with a few people.
Mary and the girls approach him.
"I heard.."
"Wait." Success interrupts "don't do anything"
"What?"
"Yes leave it to me"
"Okay"
"No leave"
"Why?!" They whine
"Babe what's going on?" Maxwell interrupts
"I said go"
The girls leave murmuring
"Babe"Maxwell tries to hold her hand"what's going on"
"Don't you ever call me babe" she swats his hand away and walks past him.

Maxwell complains to his friends about Success' sudden change in attitude.
Joe drags him aside.
"Man I kinda sent a wrong message to your girl"
"What did you say?"
"I kinda told her you really didn't like her just trying her out" Joe mumbles
"Are you crazy dude? She'll never forgive."
"You gotta try"
Maxwell sighs a heavy breath
"What do I do?"
"You're Maxwell. You'll find a way and I'll assist you"
"I hope she understands".
