IT was a fine day to be outside on the deck of the Dawn Treader. The waves of the deep blue ocean waters flowed calmly beneath the ship. It was warm, yet still windy outside.
Leaning against the railing, peering outside of the ship into the water, stood Astoria. She had come along with Caspian and the crew of the Dawn Treader. Ever since the Pevensie's siblings had departed from Narnia, leaving her behind, she had a sudden thirst for adventure. The thrill of the battle when they were last in Narnia was something that she now craved constantly. As soon as she heard of Caspian's new mission to venture to great seas to find the missing Lords, Astoria knew she had to join them, not only to accompany her loved one, yet also to fuel her need of action.
Astoria watched as the water loudly splashed along the side of the boat, when suddenly she saw something in the water. Out of curiosity, she peered over the side of the boat. She gasped at the sight of three figures flailing around in the water in attempt to stay afloat. And she was even more surprised when she caught a glimpse of one of their faces.
Was that Lucy?!
"Caspian!" Astoria shouted, whirling around on her heel to make eye contact with him. "Come quick! It's important!"
"Darling, if you are going to show me those ugly mer-men again, I told you to look away from their abs, seeing as they're not as good looking as me-"
"No," she hastily cut him off. "You git! Look! I think it's-"
"Is that-"
"I think so," she answered, and Caspian without warning, grabbed some rope and dove into the waters, several other members of the crew following in suit.
"Also I know that you are very good looking, Love, but they're pretty fit too!"

It didn't take long before Lucy, Edmund and another child, who was screaming terribly loudly, boarded the giant ship.
Almost immediately, Lucy spotted Astoria and bolted over to her, probably breaking the world record in the tightest embrace known to man, which Astoria gratefully returned. "Oh my, I'm so sorry," Lucy backed away with a guilty smile. "I've gotten you all wet."
"It's nothing, Lu. I live on a boat. I'm pretty used to being soaking wet at this point." Astoria shrugged as she ruffled Edmund's wet hair. Edmund snickered at what she just said, which made Astoria blush a deep red, realizing what she just said.
"It's really great to see you guys again. How've you been? And how did you get here in the first place?" She decided to change the subject.
"Didn't you call for us?" Lucy asked.
"No," Caspian shaking his head, making his shaggy wet black hair smack the side of his face, which looked undeniably attractive to Astoria. "Not this time."
"Well, whatever the case, I'm just glad to be here," Edmund admitted, but something else had caught Astoria's attention.
"Who is that?" she questioned, gesturing to the kicking and screaming boy on the ground.
"Don't touch me! Get that thing off me!" He flung Reep across the deck, sending him flying to Astoria's feet. The mouse pushed himself upright, huffing angrily.
"Reepicheep!" Lucy squealed.
The mouse spun, hurriedly bowing. "Your Majesties."
"Hello, Reep," Edmund smiled. "What a pleasure."
"The pleasure is all mine, Sir. But first, what to do about this..." He gestured to the obnoxious boy still on the floor squirming about. "Hysterical interloper?" He finished as Astoria snorted.
"That giant rat thing just tried to claw my face off!"
"Don't be ridiculous," Astoria scoffed. "Also only I'm allowed to call him a rat."
Reep sighed. "I was merely trying to expel the water from your lungs, sir."
The boy fell back in shock, clearly not have expecting a talking mouse. Astoria was trying to hold herself back from a hysterical meltdown as Caspian sighed internally at his lover's childish ways.
"It talked! Did you... did anyone just hear that?! It just talked!"
"He always talks," Caspian replied nonchalantly. "Actually, it's getting him to shut up that's the trick."
The crew snickered while Reep turned to look at the king as Astoria couldn't hold it in any longer and started laughing so hard that tears emerged from her eyes.
"The moment there is nothing to be said, Your Highness, I promise you, I will not say it." Reep scoffed.
"Look, I don't know what kind of prank this is!" The obnoxious boy bursted out. "But I want to wake up right now!"
"Perhaps we can throw him back," Reep suggested.
Astoria nodded. "Reep, I was thinking exactly the same thing."
"I demand to know just where in the blazes I am!"
"You're on the Dawn Treader. The finest ship in Narnia's navy," Tavros, a minotaur, told him, and the boy stared at him with wide eyes, before fainting onto the floor.
Caspian grinned shaking his head and placed his hand on Astoria's shoulder. Tavros looked around in confusion. "Was it something I said?"
"See to him, will you?"
Tavros nodded. "Your Majesty."
"Come on," Astoria cocked her head in direction of the stairs that led to the second level of the ship. "Let's get you two some dry clothes."
"Thought you'd never ask," Edmund smiled.
